I was going to just about say the same thing..Super impressed with how far your riding and video production have progressed over the year.. Let's see a Toogy trip to Whistler next year!!!!
For anyone that is thinking about hitting the small salvation kicker aka banana, it is very simple. Just cruise in from the intersection with greenhorn and literally do nothing. Let the kicker do all the work for you. No rider input is needed. However if you want to clear the table after the kicker, you'll need a couple pedal strokes in there before or after.
When I watch trail videos, I'll follow the rider up to a difficult feature, only to find it edited. You keep your wipeouts and difficulties for us to see, which makes you the fucking BEST!!
SICK!! For a FIRST TRY You did an awesome job on the jump and phantom drop. Like a BOSS. You rolled away from both ( and your not eligible for the Friday Fails video 😉) 😊🙌🏽👍🏽 -Sam😁 P.s. thanks for the collaboration and shoutout.
I'm glad you survived the drop and didn't do a "Cory". Lol. That one would have hurt pretty bad. I actually bruised my rib at Blue this summer. It took months to heal. I just kept riding anyway. 😅
Lol i watched a few videos of the phantom drop so when i hit it i pretty much just went in blind. When i creeped off that ledge i was surprised how steep the landing was. I nosed dived it a bit but rolled away no problem.
yeah it's a weird drop for sure! Everyone kept telling me you don't want too much speed cause you don't want to over shoot it, but I certainly could have used a little more speed than I had lol
@@ToogyHowser nah - you were right on the money. You just needed to get your weight back, pull up a little harder and let yourself fall off the drop. It's a weird feeling... it's called a plum drop when it falls straight down like that.
@@ToogyHowser I hear you on that! I have always loved skiing\snowboarding and couldn't wait for winter. Since I started riding this year, I wouldn't mind if winter was short. My new bike arrives this week, it's gonna be rough not being able to ride!😮
Do you think throwing your hips back harder over that back wheel on that sketchy drop would have helped? Or would you have popped the front wheel up at the lip of the drop to level out better?
"I'll do it, fuck it." That a boy! I'm 42, so no doubt I'm selective, but I figure I'm not gonna be sending it when I'm in my 50s, so might as well try stuff now! Live life with no regrets, worse that'll probably happen is a broken wrist or collarbone, but IMO the payoff is worth the risk usually.
Awesome job! You DIDN'T eat shit because your body position was JUST good enough not to. Last year would've been different. THAT'S some progression :-)
Looks fun! mighta been your title that tipped me off, but I was thinking "that's too slow" as you rolled up to the phantom drop and In the rain, yikes.
Yeah it was a little too slow, it’s such an odd drop, everyone is saying you don’t want to go too fast or you’ll land flat so I think I had that in my head. Coulda used another pedal stroke or two and pulled up more!
Hey Mike, I'm not recording my own music for these videos, I use Epidemic Sounds. I may have used some of my own music earlier on in the channel, but it's just easier to grab tracks from Epidemic haha
Last time I was there didn't have the balls to do the phantom drop, y friend did and went down hard then washed off ..scrapes on his arms and legs... I went down myself twice one over the bars and lost traction on a berm,(black diamond trail)to the point I had to walk my bike to the parking, couldn't hold the handle bars any more, so then When we got to the parking lot a dropped my damn phone and broke it...then said no more mountain creek for me lol, liked blue mountain better . Great video and good you making progress!
You killed it Toogy. You've made so much progression this year and its really come together here near the end of the season.
Thanks man!!
yeah he has.. it's awesome to see
I was going to just about say the same thing..Super impressed with how far your riding and video production have progressed over the year.. Let's see a Toogy trip to Whistler next year!!!!
@@bostonchris617 I'd love to get to Whistler next year!

Good info! I want to hit that next year when I’m there! It’s the whole jumping on and off the feature that freaks me out I think lol
Progression + not getting hurt = a great day out!
That is the truth!
Great way to show people that the more you ride the better you get. Nice progress this year. Keep it real.
Thanks man! that's all I'm trying to do, get a little bit better every time
When I watch trail videos, I'll follow the rider up to a difficult feature, only to find it edited. You keep your wipeouts and difficulties for us to see, which makes you the fucking BEST!!

P.s. thanks for the collaboration and shoutout.
Thanks Sam!! Thanks for filming those third person shots!
Dope video and rad riding, good to see people exploring my home mountain.
An awesome place! Just hope I can revisit it this year!
Wow man !!!! Your progression is inspiring. Been fun as hell watching you and your riding skills grow. Thanx!
Thanks man! Thanks for sticking around the channel since the beginning!
I'm glad you survived the drop and didn't do a "Cory". Lol. That one would have hurt pretty bad. I actually bruised my rib at Blue this summer. It took months to heal. I just kept riding anyway. 😅
yeah I've bruised my ribs a few times in the past 2 seasons haha, always sucks, but I just ride through the pain!
@@ToogyHowser Haha. Yup. Rain or shine, pain or not. Biking is too fun to let a little cracked rib stop us. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
That jumó in the beginning is extremely easy I did it blind
Sweet! Next time you are at creek lmk! I can tow you into pipeline, which is much easier than phantom.
Sounds good! Probably won’t be this year as I don’t see the border opening any time soon!
That's great effort. You're progressing very well. Keep it up. Looking forward to what your next bike will be. I'm still hoping you'll get a Ripmo AF
I just sold the reign yesterday, so I'm getting close to getting something! Stay tuned!
great video man !! good thing your still alive and keeping you feet on the petals, always approving !
Thanks Lucas!! I thought for sure I was going to be on fail fridays haha
Nice ride for sure and you stayed upright! That jump almost got you, something to work towards next spring.
Bikes Trails and Greenways yeah I’ll have to clear it with more confidence next year!
Hey nice video. I was just wondering what trail that was at the beginning. Thanks. 0:38
Hey dude, I think that was Twist to Fat Lip
Lol i watched a few videos of the phantom drop so when i hit it i pretty much just went in blind. When i creeped off that ledge i was surprised how steep the landing was. I nosed dived it a bit but rolled away no problem.

I did what you did and wiped out badly on this drop today. Shoulder is messed up but I'll recover soon enough.
ouch! hope you are ok? It is a weird drop for sure
@@ToogyHowser yeah I'll be riding again in no time. I wish I watched your video before I tried the drop lol
Great video dude! That drop is very deceiving. It's a good size drop with almost no gap so it feels weird. Glad you didn't explode!
Yeah everyone kept saying you don’t want too much speed but I think I coulda used a bit more haha
@@ToogyHowser nah - you were right on the money. You just needed to get your weight back, pull up a little harder and let yourself fall off the drop. It's a weird feeling... it's called a plum drop when it falls straight down like that.
So cool to see your progression!
Well done 👍
Thanks man!! Just wish it wasn’t winter here, I’m itching to ride!

MI MTB what bike are you getting??
@@ToogyHowser Polygon N9
Current ride is a Giant Talon 3 so, it will be a good step up for me.
Killed it Toogy! Love watching the progression.
Thanks Zack! What are your plans for winter riding this year?
@@ToogyHowser Not much really. Lots of zwift and probably a few fat bike rentals. May cave in and buy one eventually
Definitely getting RAD at the bike park, man. It's awesome 👏👌
Thanks! Love park riding just for the amount of progression you can get
Really cool edit. Need to check it out next season.
It’s an awesome place! So many trails and so many features
Good job keepin them hands on the grips, and them feet on the peddles buddy. YEEWWW! \m/
Thanks man!! Hoping to keep progressing next year!
@@ToogyHowser You will 1000% buddy! \m/
It's so good to see someone learning, because I'm learning. Season pass this year!
Awesome! I hope to make it back to mountain creek sometime this year!
Nice video and nice progression. Keep up the good work
Thank you sir!
Hi Toogy ! You did it ! You are the great 💪! Greeting in Poland !
Thanks!

Thanks man! yeah I guess I've learned enough to not panic and just hold on for the ride haha
nice vid
went otb on Twist on closing days..banged the coconut pretty hard... those drops are above my pay grade
The phantom drop is a little above my pay grade haha
Looks fun! mighta been your title that tipped me off, but I was thinking "that's too slow" as you rolled up to the phantom drop and In the rain, yikes.

Man, I cringed! Glad you were able to pull through on that one.
Yeah I kinda cringe watching it now haha, still not sure how I pulled out of it
Hey, if you're recording your own music for these, how about letting us have a look at your recording setup and gear?

yeah man Mountain Creek is pretty gnarly!! and that Phantom Drop is harder than it looks! I got so lucky haha
Here in Raincouver if we dont ride in the wet, might as well quit riding because you’d never ride lol
How did you not eat dirt ? Great riding
I’m still wondering that myself haha
Good save.
Thank you! yeah I still can't believe I saved it haha
Toogy Howser MTB if you do that up here at Whistler. You pretty much just go directly to the hospital
What is the proper form off a drop like phantom? A pull up and extension?
A little more speed and pull up and push the bike forward
Phantom Drop!!! Good shit!
Yeah the Phantom!! Such an odd drop, don’t want to hit it with too much speed but don’t want to go too slow like I did haha
5:33 is the drop thank me with a like
Lol...looks like a good time...
It was a great time!
when did you record this
Oct 20th
ah, i was there the day before
TgaFN I was too! Check out last weeks video
Patreon link has me Wahahahahaha lmao
I've hit the drop a couple times. Don't really like it. Landing is not long enough to give that roller coaster feel
Yeah it’s a super weird landing! Wish it was bigger so you could send it deeper and not have to have a harsh landing or a nose dive like I did haha
Yeah, your time is coming...
haha thanks?
You had so much cases you should be a lawyer
First?
Yep you where!
Toogy Howser MTB 👍
