I think that your regret with the DJI GOGGLES V2 analog adapter is a bit misplaced. No serious FPV pilot flies them on the Dji battery, you get any XT60 cable and lipo that you are not flying at the moment and you use that to power the goggles for as long as you need to. Secondly, I can see you are using a factory strap, that is most likely why they fall of your head because the DJI straps are very thin and can not comfortable. Lastly, i think you should make it clear that you bought the digidapter to fly completely analogue only, because for people flying DJI and analoguec the digidapter is a very good solution, in your situation the problem was that you wanted to use digital goggles to fly exclusively analog which definitely a bad idea and why you regret the purchase.
That’s exactly how I felt, I also bought a majority of the same equipment he has and absolutely love my gear. The URUAV with Eachine pro 58 was a god send for using my analog and dji o3 drones. Heck, I tell most new FPV people to buy this equipment 😅
I own drones from 2" to 8": freestyle, racing and cinewhoop. The best terrain for Bumblebee is the forest. Bumping a tree is fun and causes no damage. Or chasing downhill riders. I love all of my copters including Bumblebee. You have to find the right purpose for.
Dude, you need the iflight crystal antenna mod. Then the analog adapter that comes on from the side. No need for all these long antennas and screwing them on and off all the time. BG sold that adapter. Best mod ever
Yeah, I don't regret my analog adapter purchase a bit. And the V2 goggles will run on any battery from 2-6S. They work great, and one set of goggles is definitely less bulky to pack than two.
Unfortunately, I feel like that would be more money to spend on the same pair of goggles when I could have still moved to a simpler analog-only system, thank you for the advice here though, I'm certain it will help out people who use the Goggles V2 for both analog AND digital 😊
My fpv regrets.....express lrs at first and every single happymodel toothpick or whoop I've gotten. Always a nightmare to get bound and flying properly
I started last summer with DJi mini than i got dji FPV , Avata, flywoo cinewoop and now flywoo dji 03 sub 250 and i love all of them it come down on where i fly .Dji are amazing to learn and good entry level. Avata with head tracking i can see a good future for those technologie for film making in a low budget
I completely agree with you on the DJI controller (it's had many reports of how awful it is!) and the Avata, which some like, but some don't. It seems the guys who fly it slow to get smooth HD video have the best luck. As far as using the DJi V2 goggles, which I also own, sorry, but you simply bought the wrong analog adapter! That thing you bought (BDI?) is not good because of where it mounts! By mounting in the front, it gives you that hassle of having to remove 5 antennas every time you want to pack up your backpack. Plus, it prevents you from using one of the best, and least expensive, antenna upgrades that's ever come out! The iFlight Crystal. With the iFlight Crystal mounted, it allows for two patch antennas and two omni antennas to be on your V2 goggles at all time. Not only do they work great, but they don't have to be taken off every time you put away your goggles in your backpack! Superb design. I bought the URUAV analog adapter with the V3 metal case ($29 for both), so it's a small fraction of the cost of that thing you have mounted to the front. Yours is semi permanent, the URUAV is removable in less than 5 seconds! It mounts with a metal slide on groove, that allows it to be slid off as quick and easy as you slide it on! All that, and it's rock solid whens it's on and you're using it! A fantastic wys to enjoy analog FPV, but completely remove it when you know you're just using digital that day! Being that it's version 3, the two previous plastic and 3D printed versions aren't a factor, and thank goodness! This version is solid and refined, and the others weren't! P.S. The first hing I did was sell my factory tiny little worthless DJI goggles battery and make a long cord for my pocket and I use a 4S lipo to power my goggles. Perfect! That little factory DJI battery is a TOTAL JOKE! Great video! :)

Getting a new Dji's "obsoleted" goggles V2 in 2023 is a no go, I have exact same setup with you with extra modification like USB-C PD trigger input and XT60 input so I can input it with variety of power source, to fit it in bag, I had replaced the long dji antenna with stubby but for analog antenna I use triple feed antenna but you can get a really low profile stubby if you are not going for range. The analog module is eachine pro58 flashed with pirx firmware. It will always start with my favorites frequency but the V2 booting up speed is slow cant denying that. If you fly digital the analog module will drain power for nothing, sometimes I just pull the 5.5 DC pin out from digidapter. To counter front weight my battery is strap behind my head. It is getting heavier (I had head tracker added). But it still my best goggle LOL before I get something like "All-In-One" goggles. bringing two goggles for holiday is not my option.
I love my Avata. It's had problems and I have sorted them out. The problem is do you have a battery clamp. As high speed turns have lot's on G forces on the battery and can eject the battery. So I use a battery clamp made by another drone manufacturer. And that fixed the problem.
I´ve got the Avata to get into FPV... But when I got my first 5" Freestyle with the radiomaster zorro... Never flew again the avata... Then I've been building my own drones so I don´t feel like flying Avata anymore. And yes the RC is horrible I even got some longer sticks but... I can't fly with that anymore
There will be that perfect moment when I think: Well, no other of my 6+ o3 FPV drones will fit better than the avata. 😅😅😅 I will just keep mine. Mine is heavily beaten up and filthy as shit. Even the lens has a nice chipped spot. Maybe I can call mine retired. The avata did its job by hooking me into this money sink hobby.
I 100% agree, the Avata certainly has its use cases, and as mentioned in the video, I will still continue to give it credit where due (Travel size for me was the big one)
I have the exact analog setup for the dji v2, and you can get stubby antennas so you dont have to take them off every time you put them in you back pack, but yeah that costs more money lol. I also have the rc2 which like you I only use with the avata when I do realestate gigs and I only use the O3 for flying because I attached a gopro naked to it, but I have to admit the Avata's battery life is amazing, besides that I never use it, Cinelog 35P is better in so many ways. I also truly hate the whole having to attach the phone to the goggles and running the fly app thing. It seems like a lot of us went through the sames begginer mistakes, but we still have to be greatful that DJI came up with an easier way for us to learn how to fly fpv without being engineers lol.
Planned obsolescence all the way, buy everything new, then it is junk. Had the goggles at least be able to work with Vista modules, then there would be some extra-value.
1:16 phew the $220 usd i just paid for some old loaded FatShark HD3's feels good; thanks 🎉... 2:43 HA yes I bought the FPV Controller 2 last winter to "get into FPV SIM" and hate it. (Boxer was night and day, my goodness love it) 6:43 hmmm well... yeah... you did swear off cinewhoops 😅 and - DANG just had two past weekends, outdoor concerts, both with Avatas, an Air3 and other FPVs buzzing overhead. Sunday had an Avata so close I ducked as it went a foot right over my head 🫣 amazingly no Karens though 😊
You all are taking avata wrong Worst cinewhoop? Probably Yes Worst for fun? No if you use it correctly You have to get The Motion controller, Grab it in your hands and fly it like a plane, a jet, whatever that has stick to controll Its bad with FPV controller Best with Motion controller
Possibly, I do agree that the motion controller is pretty fun, however it is also very limited and has a high cost associated with it if that’s all you plan on using it for. However each to their own, if you love it then that is hella fantastic!! 😎
The avata flies like a brick. As soon as you push it the flight controller loses its shit and dives. It's a great cinewhoop, very stable and the footage looks great but anyone not flying it for commercial purposes and trying to have fun will find the limit of its performance very quickly.
I personally just don't think that it is worth the money that I spent on it, plenty of other options out there that are significantly cheaper and better 😃
Idk about this guy but as someone entirely new to rc, fpv, soldering, computers... literally new to everything; it was nearly impossible to understand what people were even talking about most the time. It's still hard lmao if I didn't recently meet a friend that doesn't mind answering my questions for hours on end then I'd have sold a >1000$ digital setup before ever even figuring out how to binding anything lol 😅
I regret it I baught the Eachine Trashcan as first FPV drone and no 3 Inch. But I was never to stupid to buy any DJI Product. I regret it to baught an second Reptile draken becurse i have not such time to build it. But HaHa it is stupid to buy stuff from comercial Drone Industry for orofessional segment. Ever seen some Goverment streetworkers with Ryoby Leave blowers? No there yousing Stihl and Husquvarna tools.
@@BrodieReed okay. BTW brodie, what do you think about all gubments drawing a line around you and saying you are not allowed to leave?(Antarctic Treaty) If you don't know what I mean, read my about tab.
So you spent how much on DJI failures, and still support ( and apologize ) the company ? I mean really, what am I supposed to think ? Either you have a lot of money, and you are silly with it, or they are paying you. Otherwise, you are in need of advice. From a professional.
Neither my dude, I run a video production business where I use the DJI mic, DJI RS2 gimbal, DJI action 4, DJI Mini 3 Pro AND DJI Air 3 Haven’t once been paid to endorse them nor do I have a lot of money, they simply make great products that I can swear by using professionally, just not every one has been a hit for me personally within FPV

A trick you can do with the Dji Rc is to 3d print some attachments that go onto the bottom of the controller which allows you actually hold it
Ooo now this is an interesting idea!

Honestly, I've have had no issues with battery ejection while flying, but yes I have previously used battery straps on the Avata ✌️

I am using the avata as a training drone, I like it, of course I am not yet a good acro pilot, still working taking on sim.
It’s great place to start IMO
I would recomend you get the axis flying 3.5 upgrade for the avata the difference is night and day, I have it and I dont regret a thing
great now we need one on goggles
About the DJI fpv controller I have the exact same issue the gimbals are just so small and have no resistance
You all are taking avata wrong
Worst cinewhoop? Probably Yes
