Older American generation is truly overall better than Koreans(Sohyang is an exception and maybe Luna too) But. If i have to point out, Korean singers are generally able to sing with better stability every time they perform live than Americans. No doubt the American singers can hit high notes, but how many live performances compaired to Koreans do u actually see them hit the high notes and belting perfectly and full-on 99% of the time? U can't deny the fact that Koreans sing and dance while doing better in terms of stability :/

I'm not gonna lie. The Korean singers have certainly mastered the art of the power ballad. The various styles of the songs shown here, particularly for the Korean singers, really emphasized their best qualities in their voices. I don't think pop songs are often so good at showcasing talent in that way.

Honestly today's kidols aren't even that good with technique especially the popular ones. However if you're looking at non kidols or veterans (Americans too} then they are insanely good. You know how much damaging pneumonia could do to her breathing technique, lung power and stamina, much more to an ovarian cancer which affects her hormones that can impair her voice. Her health condition contributed on her slight regression in her vocal technique but her mastery and dedication to keep her voice pristine at her age is something she worked her whole life. Sooo....

Luca Bruno No she's never supported above Eb5 previously and as of late, she only supports up to B4. In this clip, her larynx is sky high and she's placed her voice in the throat. The note is just loud but the strain is also less apparent because she's using a heady mix.
