How can I figure out what kind of lights my truck has like if it has HIDs or what?
Just installed these, they look amazing. Curious to see how they hold up long term! For those wondering about the DRL, it is white, it does not have that bluish tint like the video does. I wondered the same thing before purchasing.
To get them to run during the day, I did not splice or do any wiring, I used FORScan to enable DRL and set them to parking lights. Now whenever I am in gear, the white LED bar is on.
How are they do far?
Probably not gonna get a answer but when you ordered them do both headlights come together or separately
I had to replace the low beam bulbs for these headlights. It took the standard H7 light bulb and it was very simple to install it. It took a socket wrench and a Phillips screwdriver...
So if I wanted to put leds in them could I replace bulbs?
are the LED wrap around lights bulbs replaceable?
Wow these look bad-ass. Definitely on my shopping list. I was worried they might look out of place with all of the chrome on that truck (just like mine), but I think they look great! Thanks for the info!

How do you swap out the bulbs?
You added DRL lights to a truck that didn’t come equipped with DRL. Nothing was discussed in the video about the DRL, how does it work?
Am I missing something, are the headlight bulbs replaceable? I didn’t see any access to the bulbs in the installation video. What happens when one burns out, replace the headlight? Surely not!
4:48 they are enclosed in the cover which can be turn open to replace bulbs. Both for high, low beam and any other bulbs. Halogen burn out so why would you think they intend to make you replace headlight when a bulb is burned out?
I'll check this part later, need to swap out bulbs as both high and low burned out on my driver side

@@edgarrazo6481 I'm sure you can swap them out, I have not swapped my bulbs yet. I'm sticking with halogens though
So to swap the bulbs on the low beam there are 3 screws to remove, pull the power to the dead bulb and remove the little secure pin and remove bulb, put new bulb in, secure pin and put power plug in and put the 3 screws back in and for the high beam you just twist the cover off - remove secure pin and pull the dead bulb out, new bulb in, secure pin and twist cover back in
For future reviews, put the new headlight up with a direct comparison to the old headlights. Otherwise, everything you've just done is pretty much useless and just your opinion.
What is the color temperature of the new HID bulbs and more importantly, what is the beam pattern?

Are the DRL bars blue tint??
No, it is white
Keeps calling the led bar a drl when in fact it does not run unless the headlights are on. The low beam is still the drl.
You should be able to download FORScan and change that
I put a set of aftermarket headlights with the DRL LED that also do the signals. I have a problem that when the turn signals are activated, I get a hyper-flash. The LEDs work for a second or two and then start hyper-flashing. The rear lights still work. Any idea on how to correct this issue??
How is the output on the road vs factory?
Just received and installed. Look great, much improved beam pattern. Will need to adjust beam elevation. Why do the low beams turn off when high are on. The video even has the highs on and lows are off.
that's how it is on all vehicles
@@solaydbak yup! You can install forscan on laptop and turn on bambi mode which both low and high beams turn on when using high beams

Why do the headlight bulbs themselves seem yellow like a normal halogen ? Or is that what they are . If I’m going to upgrade my lights i would want LED bulbs . Answer please

Probably a dumb question, but I've been wondering this for a while - why don't ANY aftermarket headlights fit if you have factory HIDs installed? These would be a nice addition to my front end, but they won't work because I have OEM HID headlights.
There are certain aftermarket lights that are built for them. And it’s just because of the plug and play design because they are different wiring harnesses
That’s not an issue. The only issue you’ll run into is the plug for power. You can modify the cable to take the halogen version ( like h1,h7,etc.)
So I have these headlights but thing is can I switch the bulb in it to an led one? If so which ones?

It looks like there was an issue with getting those harnesses to "twist and lock". Am I wrong?

hey so i bought these headlights thinking it would fix an issue i had with my previous after market headlights but they did not fix the issue. The issue is that the passenger side hi and low beam lights are faulty and go out constantly, i have to stick my hand under the fender and mess/shake the wires untill the headlights cut back on properly. Any help? thank you
The most important part of the review should be the beam pattern, that is the function of the headlamp and you guys missed it. A video of night driving with low and high beams comparing the OEM versus the one installed is the difference between me buying it or not. Sorry guys, these look great but that is not enough for buyers like me looking for performance and good looks at the same time.
I have these, they have a cut off of light on lowbeams like newer cars do compared to stock lights, also brighter with the bulbs that came with them

Something they forget to tell you will need res Resistors for your headlights to stop Hyper flashing they should let you know that when you buy that light

I have a '12 FX4 and my headlights are the OEM ones shown. What year has the darker tint?
@@solaydbak I have an '11 and I have seen them in the 13's as well. I don't have the appearance package so I don't know how I have them. I thought they were standard on all Fx4's. I am the 2nd owner so maybe its a special order?

What year is this truck? I have a white 2013 and I'm looking for darker headlights and tail lights. I like that grille though. Is that aftermarket?
This is a 2011 3.5 Ecoboost XLT with a stock Chrome Package grille. Hope this helps! -Justin

I’ve had these like 6 months now and last week my right passenger low beam went out. Thought it was the bulb so I replaced it. Then about a week later same thing but the bulb is good? Then my high beam went out. After that my driver low beam went out ! I’m lost don’t know what going on my DLRs work and my signal lights but my low beams are gone

@@Zacharymathers006 yes it was one of the metal clips pieces in the connector so I had to cut the plastic connectors and fuse the wires straight together

My whole high and low beams went out on driver side
@@mikebergamaschi8079 have you inspected the connectors make sure one is not burned out
I saw some many problems with water in this lights so is better keep you oem lights too much money for that
Can these work as day time running lights? Or will I have to do separate wiring for that?
I’ve been trying to figure that out. I just installed them easily and the “DRLs” only turn on at night
No from what I know it’s direct install but they just you low beam as a guide to turn on. If u want true drl you have to run a separate power line to the drl tube bar
These aren't true DRL's like the morimoto xb hybrids. They work in conjunction with your parking lights. Still pretty cool I'm just curious if the come with that blue tint to them?
How do I align the headlights? They are totally out of line
A screw on top just behind the light.
