I think it's partly Gage bias. MBT is friends with both, but it's clear he roots for Gage and when someone gets blown out like this it's usually Gage. Granted I don't think that's all it is, people like a good back and forth, but I do think that's part of it. Personally I adore these episodes, although I wouldn't want them to happen every week.
This episode is peak comedy, Gage malding is just chef's kiss. And if it had been the other way around, it also would have been peak just like the topdeck King of Skull Servants moment idk how anyone can't just laugh at this
I was about to comment the same, its only “bad” because Gage doesnt win. I actually liked it. If the shoe were on the other foot itd be mega good (by MBT standarts).
The only 'bad' thing about this episode is the pack opening, which is in a nothing set that should have been paired with another one or something. Honestly, funny moments like this when one of them malds over the insane topdecks are the best of the series, like when Gage rips King off the top for game. Gage fans truly are toxic af, thank god Cimo doesn't listen to them like doug does.
I could be misremembering, but in season 1 with the Igknight mirror matches, didn’t they show off that pendulum summoning Jinzo stopped pretty much exactly what happened to Gage from happening? I’m just saying that if those three Thunder Dragons had been three Jinzos that I’m pretty sure Gage has from all the reprint sets instead, he would have seen one to stop the torrential and cleaned up game 1 super easy.
I mean.... what do you want me to say? Pend decks only do one thing: pendulum summon. If you can stop that one thing from happening, pend decks don't work. I'm not really sure why anyone would be mad at this episode.
14:10 he got so torrential'd 16:33 the 2nd moment you came for 17:43 Gage still thinks Ignknight is a go 1st deck, when it is a go 2nd deck, just because "they are pendulums. they are supposed to set up an unbrekable negate board right? like pendulum magician!" 19:05 the 0 % winrate Bounzer! 23:46 3nd "Gage loses his mind" moment 28:46 voiceless voice
I hate Gage always goes HUGE minus trying to thin his deck out of pendulums, bro if you don't want them in your deck just play less of them. Like he already has more than enough on his extra deck to pend summon a full board, but still EVERY SINGLE TIME he pops his scales, then when Cimo twin twisters him he has no new scales to replace his old ones with. Such a bad move.
Gage actually did not miss out on Nova - this (OTS PACK 1) is its first printing outside of the structure deck. Gage missed out on infinity, and I think he got the 2 swapped. Though maybe when he mentioned his polls from breakers of shadow, he was meaning infinity. I couldn’t really hear it over gage and Joseph talking.
Anybody notice how the moment Gage takes the lead, Alex suddenly locks in and wins a ton to take the lead back? I'm starting to wonder if Alex chose to do this series with Gage specifically because he knows that he can outplay Gage even with a mediocre deck. If Alex played nothing but powerful decks and didn't waste episodes resetting the losing streak bans, the score probably wouldn't be as close. This isn't to say Gage is a bad duelist; he's great and could probably outplay like 75% of the Yu-Gi-Oh! playerbase. I just think Alex is a better duelist who is aware of that fact and doesn't want his audience losing interest too fast.
Of course. That's why he played chaos monarch like 25 times in a row just to lose to Gage so yhat he could catch up. But who really cares? At the end of the day it's two goofy friends having fun. I watch the progression series literally to see their pulls and the hilarious moments like Gage raging like in this episode.
My main problem ist still the same, the wheel and packs are switched. The winner shouldnt win more will the looser looses out. If the looser got to pin the wheel and maybe make a comeback by either getting a rare card, gettinga ban or reroll would be much healthier for the series than the winner getting it. For a game where "Win More" cards are generally considered bad, this sure perplexes me. I also think gaige fumbles a lot during play or is simply unlucky, but I do like the series.
I feel like Prog is at its worst when it’s just cimo sacking Gage. All the worst slogs of both seasons are cimo having an unfair advantage in terms of deckbuilding or luck
I understand the Gage bias from the community because when Gage has a sacky win it’s some weird FTK or crazy combo deck, but when Alex gets a sacky win it’s just a one card blowout or the same generic chaos cards he always plays with fader. I’d rather see new different strategies compared to the same cards released before 2008.
People can hate all they want, this episode was freaking hilarious.
Spoilers:
I get why some people would say this is a bad episode because Cimo just blew out Gage, but I think the comedy value makes it a fun episode.
The terrible pack they opened really didn't help.

Rather have episodes like this over the nonsense we've been dealing with before.

I wish they would pair up these trash packs like what they did with a few of the GX sets.
The fact that it's 30 minutes long says alot about how we progressed.
Or rather, regressed.
Or rather, progrussied
Progrussy having double the views as mbt and friends is the kind of stuff we love to see 👏👏👏
"I remember holding legs" MBT at his first borns wedding
Age of Gage? More like Rage of Gage.
You again
Cimo truly has the mandate of heaven. I love it.
I think people just like to complain that Cimo wins, plain and simple
2:46 to skip the sub read but you do miss the wheel spin
Wow so he's really doing ad reads over the actual content now huh?
@@scrungo5592 this comment is so fucking funny
this ep was worth it, just for gage's pained moans.
Cimo deadass topdecked Strike Twister Judgement Call against a pendulum deck
Gage LITERALLY refuses to respect backrow lmao dude. PUT IN BACK ROW REMOVAL. you know Cimo plays battle traps and cards from like 2006, big dawg.
Exactly this. Dumb stuff like not respecting backrow is a major cause of Gage losing games.
"SURELY he won't topdeck another blowout, right?"
I edged to Gage's moans when he got solemn striked

well it wouldn't have stopped cards like strike but yeah
@@MiyaoMeow588 yeah, but stopping the others would have meant a game 3 at least
Its a pre-build deck by iwiwd so it wont have that
And remember gage just runs pre-build decks thats why it looks constructed
I knew it, I knew Gage shouldn't have respun Breakers of Shadow!
At least the 2016 Mega Tins are coming up.
Big fan of gage running ignister with no tuner
I dont know why Joseph always hates the best episodes but it's his loss ig
Because he's a Gage glazer
He hates my glorious king cimoooooo
Gotta admit, I had a lot of time without laughting so hard with an episode, I actually enjoyed it.
@@alonsoarana5307For good reason. Gage = best
@@NotAbot1011he's really not, he's a midcarder at best
Gage is either unbanning Dante, or Nordic. Place your bets now
Or, banning Dark Destroyer since that card is SUCH a pain in the ass.

Can anyone tell me why IWIWD is now just I Wish? I've been wondering for a bit
At least it's not a mirror
Gage sounds like he's giving birth to a Pro Wrestler X3>
This episode was like on Attack on Titan when Levi was beating the shit out of eren and everyone just watched
1st time i bumped into a vid 4 seconds after it was up.. i just randomly looked at the channel to see if something was up cx

yeah he got mad he respun his infinity
Yeah he meant he messed up re rolling his Infinity from BOSH because he didn’t remember that Nova was reprinted in OTS pack.
I straight jump to meme after I saw the decks
Best episode in a while. I love seeing my man (s)cream.

These packs should just be open as extras with new cards. There is nothing of value to be gained.
Gage had everything to stomp this episode, but Cimo countered with being Alex fucking Cimo. I'm so sorry for Gage bro
This is like watching a Tier 1 Deck beating a Tier 1 Deck... from the past and sucks compare to it. COOL.

Gage played this so shit

Did they really feel the need to open this set? Why not skip over it
Because it had new cards and reprints of older ones. Stupid question. They shouldn't have skipped even the one they did.
