    After dropping off my 2017-18 Toro where I bought it , and calling the other day to ask when it was to be completed , they advised me in about '" two weeks" . It has already been there 4 days , so I said I would pick it back up and their to do nothing to it. I had tried to clean with carb cleaner but it just didn't run right. Watched your Video and did all you explained and were back to New . Thank Again,,, You're the Man !

    Big thanks for this video. I went straight for the carburetor. I lifted the front end with a paint can and clamped the fuel line. Mower is ready and it did not cost me a dime. Thank you once again.

    Thank you. hydroseeded my lawn a few weeks ago and it was ready to cut and lawnmower kept dying. Took apart and cleaned all I could but was missing that last little bit with the pin hole you showed in the video. This was the exact carburetor assembly I had. It's working now.

    You put us over the top on this one. Thanks. We had the same problem, and the shop takes over 3 weeks to fix it and return it-- way too long. We figured we had to give it a shot. Other videos did not have our carburetor assembly and did not help us. Your video is clear and direct, and you are well spoken and likeable. A couple things I really liked are: 1). You announced the socket sizes for screws when you undid them; 2) you sped up the video when you undid a screw (saved a lot of watching time). 3) You showed the model year (2017), which matched up with ours -- very helpful;

    I had mine all the way down to the carb in my hands! In my hands I tell ya! Didn’t see the bolt in the bottom so I just reassembled and put new fuel in. Still didn’t run. A new carb arrived yesterday and NOW I get this vid on my feed. 🤬
    Gonna try this tomorrow. If it works - the new carb goes back and the yard gets trimmed.

      @@mikeydeks fixed it! Today after working all night driving. Pulled the carb. Took a needle and started poking that small ass hole. The needle was sticking plastic. 🤔 Is that normal? I didn’t think so! 😱
      Replaced the bowl and heard that all to familiar sound of plastic cracking. 🤬
      And yes! Fuel ran out and down the street all the way to Ukraine 🇺🇦! [I am helping now]
      So the new carb goes on. 😎. Mower starts and runs, wife happy, I’m happy. 🥳

    • @Speckled_Trout
      @Speckled_Trout 3 роки тому

      @@mikeydeks honestly it wasn’t the clips it was that the hose was still stiff as hell and the clip had compressed the hose so hard over the male end of the carburetor it was like pulling it off with the clip still on. It’s a 2019 model so the hose hasn’t become very flexible yet even though it probably should’ve by now 🤷🏾‍♂️ but regardless she cranks and that’s what matters lol thanks again dog

    Thanks Mikey - exactly the same problem with my Toro 'Mow and Stow' that I bought last year. I think what may've happened with mine is I had it on its side for a while and oil leaked into the air filter (I thought since it wouldn't leak in a vertical position, it wouldn't leak on its side but not true!) I put in a new air filter and oil but its possible that I introduced some dirt into the carburetor in the process. My fuel might be dirty. BTW I have been using engineered fuel (I know, more expensive but somewhat quieter and not as much gasoline fumes) and buy smaller quantities. I don't really like keeping a lot of gasoline around. Project Farm tested the fuels vs conventional gasoline and they come out a bit better.

    • @mikeydeks

    • @kevinkennedy3242
      @kevinkennedy3242 3 роки тому

      About an inch...I also never remember seeing a black one... just the white one that snaps in the back of the carburetor. First time I put it back together I believe I had the metal connectors to the throttle attached wrong. I started it and it revved very high and then stalled. I ended up doing the whole video again as gas got into the carburetor again. Fuel leaked out just sitting flat so maybe the o ring came from somewhere related to the fuel. It is too big for anything to do with the fuel line though. Thanks for responding though

    Toro used to be THE most reliable mower out there. I’m beyond furious that a brand new $380 lawnmower is already doing this bullshit.
    When I was a kid, my dad bought a second hand craftsman mower at a garage sale that lasted 20 years!!! All we ever did was put gas and oil in it!

    • @mikeydeks
      @mikeydeks  4 роки тому

      If it’s not starting at all it can be a bad spark plug. If not try all the steps that I took it can either be a clogged fuel line that’s stopping gas from getting to the motor, or a dirty carburetor.. nine times out of 10 it’s one of those two things

    Every since they incorporated a prime bulb and these pieces of shit they are all sensitive as can be , Give me a classic Briggs and Stratton with the carb mount direct on the tank , no prime bulb , We never needed all of that horseshit before , There are too many designs now where they tried to modify by changing shit that was fine , instead they complicated things and I hate it

    • @meatball6930
      @meatball6930 3 роки тому

      I prefer a primer bulb-it let’s you blast some pressure thru somethings that might be clogged-these new engines don’t really give you anything to work on, i even miss the old metal float Bowl he took off but the one he took off was plastic-the metal bowl you could just rapid tap on the bowl and most time get those jets to unclog without taking apart.

      It’s hilarious that you wrote one long insulting sentence and had to edit it😂 You should’ve just deleted it. By the way there’s even an easier way to empty the gas & flush tank and you making a video of taking the gas tank off would get insulting comments that you just gave this guy. There’s more than one way to get the gas out and a lot of people-male and female that would’ve passed on this video if the guy was taking the machine apart. In the end it’s all the same-but he helped more non-handy people to get their mower going and that was his point and why most people came here, but you on the other hand 🙄keep on editing your insult sentences-you’ll eventually get it right the first time eventually😂
