I laughed out loud when I saw only one colonist could fight fires. Excited to watch the rest of this series and see if that comes back to bite you because I've lost many buildings and crops not paying attention to who can and cannot put out fires.
I've always been interested in this game but never played it, nor watched others played it. This is definitely another series of yours I'm gonna be watching!
Just found this series and definitely gonna binge watch it. Also, I laughed pretty hard at the guy from the "stabber company" arriving with a blunt weapon.
What a great series. Only on episode 12 but love the way you’ve approached your first play through. I know you’re getting tips from commenters, but your logic and understanding, I assume from your DF experience, is making you appreciate the game so much. It’s good to see you hitting all the obstacles I faced when I first started playing but you get over them so much quicker than I ever did 😂 I’m now a patron and have about 60 hours left of this series. Looking forward to any future play through when you know what you’re doing from the start. Keep it up!
I am so glad you are enjoying this series! Thank you very much for becoming a Patron--I appreciate it! I definitely look forward to doing this all over again when I know what I'm doing--and maybe even with some DLC to spice it up haha. Yeah, DF definitely helped me get into the mindset of this game and, as you say, I have received so many great tips from people along the way to answer questions I have and keep us afloat. This save file is still ongoing and the series is 115+ episodes at this point, haha ;D What a game!
It begins! Rimworld is one of my favorite games. Been with it since early alpha, and it's gotten so amazing. Fun fact: cloudwatching is a recreation/joy activity, added back in the joy update.
Discovered your channel through your excellent Caves of Qud tutorial. Now I'm discovering your playthrough of one of my absolute favorite games! Keep up the excellent content.
lol you got me again. I heard u talking about rimworld in the kenshi videos. bought it watched ur guides now time to run my colony while watching u play. still not done with kenshi gonna swap so i don't get burned out.
Ah, see you playing another of my favorites. This is an excellent sandbox game, and working towards goals with given constraints is always fun. 'Winning' involves making a spaceship to leave the planet for the more advanced 'colonists.' Though with Tribes, I can't really say. I think with tribes you'd be more working for the experience as I think it'll never end. Have fun!
Thanks my friend! Yeah, I'm having such a blast with this game. It's cool that there is a way to win... I didn't know if you could as I am used to Dwarf Fortress, which just kind of goes on forever if you can manage it but you usually get wiped first haha
Haha, I bet it's tough! I'm So glad you enjoyed this! Rimworld is such a fantastic game; I was actually just streaming it last night. This series is still going with my 1st game! Haha it's a long one, but so much fun!
Nice! I'm not sure if you found this out in video 2, but if you open the WORK tab in the bottom left, you can hit the MANUAL checkbox and assign numerical priorities for each person's work, which is much more detailed than just the checkmarks.
Back when Rimworld first came out, it ONLY had manual priorities, and it was a nightmare to new players. The checkbox system removed a huge barrier to entry.
Rimworld is one of my favorite games. It’s fun, challenging, and addictive as hell! I’m so excited for you to play it! Edit: Couple things I forgot to mention… 1. This game has an amazing soundtrack. 2. Tragedies and hardships are a part of the game. Sometimes it’ll feel like your run is about to end, but you can bounce back. Plus, you’ll get some good stories from ‘em. Now get out there and make a name for yourself!
Haha, thanks for the advice my friend! The soundtrack is amazing. I will make a name for myself through complete agony and loss of my colonists as things go terribly for us, but I'll have fun doing it haha. I love the stories you can get out of these kind of games. Looking forward to getting further for sure!
This series is my first time ever playing! So it's all new to me at the start :) I do complete the game in this series, though, after many episodes and a rocket launch!
2 years later I've found a phenomenal play-through! Thanks for the content, Doc!
You are so welcome my friend! This game is amazing!

Haha, you will see ;) There are definitely some insane fires in this... haha
I've always been interested in this game but never played it, nor watched others played it. This is definitely another series of yours I'm gonna be watching!
Oh great! I have always wanted to play this too and it's fantastic so far :D
Just found this series and definitely gonna binge watch it. Also, I laughed pretty hard at the guy from the "stabber company" arriving with a blunt weapon.
Haha, he never really fit in at the Stabber Company... always an outsider haha

This game is amazing, you picked up on some of the more subtle pretty quickly
It really is! There is so much going on but it makes for hilarious stories and situations ;D
I myself just got in to Rimworld recently, so I'm very happy to see that you've had this series running!
Haha, awesome! I hope you enjoy it like I have--it's such a hilarious and interesting game ^_^

Rimworld is one of my most-played games, it's SO addictive. Would love to see you play more.
Oh, great! Well, it's got its hooks in me haha--I will definitely be playing more.

Awww yess, I love Rimworld! Can't wait to see what happens in your colonies!
Oh great Manto--I didn't know you played but it doesn't surprise me ;D This game seems amazing so far!

Nice! I think you will really like this one ;) It's hilarious and has some overlap with Kenshi for sure ^_^

Well it's no victory theme, but it's an accomplishment nonetheless. You can still continue after you do it if you leave any people behind.
Hello ^^ it was not easy to find a list in english for first time when you live in Spain. So charming/calming voice, nice channel

This is great! Someone told me about this and it's something I have always wanted in DF. That's efficiency, baby!
Back when Rimworld first came out, it ONLY had manual priorities, and it was a nightmare to new players. The checkbox system removed a huge barrier to entry.
This looks very similar to Keplerth great video as always
Ooo, that game looks fun!
good start, good luck!
Haha, thanks my friend! Still alive so far ;D
I'm glad about the video - a friend suggested it but I had no idea what it was
Haha, awesome ;D This game is so great!

Rim world released on console I'm playing it now and watching this old stream from your recommended
Haha, awesome! I hope you are enjoying it my friend. This seems right up your alley ;D
Hello Dr I was wondering at what point in the series did you start to have experience?
This series is my first time ever playing! So it's all new to me at the start :) I do complete the game in this series, though, after many episodes and a rocket launch!
Rimworld and Factorio- my two Steam addictions.
Awesome! I need to get Factorio some day as well. For now, this will do haha. So much to do in this one!
whats the lowest spec of video cards that will work on this game?
Good question! I bet it's pretty low--the graphics aren't very intense.
*sees username is Dr Incompetent* Finally a worthy opponent, our battle will be blundering (I have no idea what I am doing as well)
Haha, let's blunder our way off this planet! ;D
Afaik, it's actually like 30% of a planet it generates, but you can set it to generate 100% :P
Oh wow, a whole planet? Now that's something!
@@DrIncompetent yeah, though I wouldn't recommend it because it takes a while to generate depending on your hardware.
You ever played Dwarf Fortress?
But, seriously, great video 😊
Haha, once or twice ;)
Haha, thank you! This save files goes the distance! like 2 years and 100+ episodes haha
Is there dlc? Did u get all of the dlc?
I think there are 3 DLCs for this! I only have the base game ;D
Have u tried mmo villagers and heroes 3d I'm doing a gameplay on it
I haven't tried it yet! Do you like it so far?
@@DrIncompetent yea I'm level 50 on it
Low voice is very soothing but Jesus turn up the volume
Haha, sorry about that--I've been working over time to adjust the volume balance and increase the floor ;)
i wish you woudl've put ur items inside your house when you were new
Haha, learning the game here ;D
