      @@Uruieiejust so you know, i'm only talking about the Civic in this video which is a 9th gen Civic Si, it's a sports car. Toyota didn't even offer a sporty competitor (Corolla XRS) to the 9th gen Civic. In fact, Toyota hasnt had a response to the Civic Si in the US after the Corolla XRS until now with the GR Corolla but again I'm talking specifically about the civic in this video and not civics in general, which is what you seemed to assume. Not sure what makes it such an "ass" car and no i'm not a honda fanboy, I think both Toyota and Honda are great obviously. Also nobody cares about a VQ in a CVT maxima lol, NPC car. Not a true enthusiast car and not the true VQ that Nissan is known for

      @@ufork lol then maximas be dusting them little boy civics. Toyota has more money than Honda. They could buy Honda today. Check out those net worth. Don’t compare Toyota and honda. BMW even started a partnership with Toyota since 2011. That’s speaks volume it self. As for Nissan they have way better motors than Honda. Honda is last in the pack…

    • @ufork
      @ufork 4 місяці тому

      @@Uruieie did you even read my comment? Lol. It's not about which brand is better or has more money, I was specifically comparing one model from one brand to another model from another brand but I guess that went completely over your head, so don't tell me what not to compare 😂 And yeah sure the maxima is faster but that's not really my point. It's just another boring, numb car to drive. I'm sure it's a nice car but it just won't offer the same driving experience that the Civic will. I guess it's not really fair to compare the two cars. Also not really sure what the BMW Toyota collaboration has to do with anything lol. They made one car and enthusiasts were disappointed anyway because it's basically just a rebadged BMW Z4

    I have the 21 SR in triple black and I'm already at 106k miles because of my job. I wish Nissan would release a Nismo model giving it the drivetrain from the Q50 Sport, 300 hp and a 7spd automatic with AWD. Just plug and play it. The body is already beautiful. That and add a HUD and they'd sell like hotcakes. And to differentiate it from the Q50, give the Q50 the ZF 9 Speed Auto and keep it RWD/AWD with that configuration.

    I have owned many Infinitis in the past. Nissan, at its roots, is an engineering company and their engines are much better than the competition's. I have been driving their 3.5 and 3.7 engines for years and have never had any problems. Nissan was the very first Japanese company to pioneer drive-by-wire, break-by-wire, and CVT transmission. They were unfairly singled out for their CVT transmission issues in the past simply because they sold a lot and were pioneers in this area. Now, almost all the mainline Japanese companies are starting to adopt CVTs. Nissan had its tumultuous period in the past, but I consider it an engineering and conservative Japanese car company. I am glad they moved independently outside of Renault's influence, and I hope they do better.

    One thing I don’t like about dealerships is that people drive this car brand new from 0miles and they put soo much STRESS in the engine ! Don’t you have to break in the engine first before stepping the gas all the way down?!

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews  Рік тому +3

      All these cars are broken in from the factory. When a client test drives a car, virtually everyone floors it to experience the power and to see if it is enough for their needs. Unless we are taking about cars like BMW M3/M5, or a Corvette, which have specific break-in instructions and a 1600 mile service, then I wouldn't worry about it.

    • @sneakerhead4770

    • @hmnieu
      @hmnieu 12 днів тому

      @@DMCarReviewsInteresting to see how uninformed you are being a car channel. The owner’s manual for the Maxima literally says, for the first 1,200 miles, to avoid running the engine over 4,000 RPM, to avoid full throttle, and to avoid quick starts, none of which you abided by in your video. Although I understand why you wouldn’t care since you’re not the one buying the car, and someone else will have to deal with the potential issues that pop up down the road because you ran it too hard during its crucial break-in period. Just a bit inconsiderate for someone paying over $40k for a “new” car.

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews  12 днів тому

      @@hmnieu I don't understand, are you trolling right now, or you're being serious? Many customers who test drive these cars drive them hard and floor them. If a car can't take a simple acceleration, then don't buy such a car. Cars with designated break-in periods self limit rpms and power. Go educate yourself

    • @hmnieu
      @hmnieu 12 днів тому

      @@DMCarReviews Not trolling at all. Real car enthusiasts like myself just want to inform wannabe car enthusiasts like you of the proper way of doing things and to prevent the spread of misinformation. It’s true that a lot of people do take brand new cars on hard test drives, but that alone doesn’t mean it’s good for the engine. Once you understand what it takes to rebuild an engine like I have and that extremely close tolerances need time to properly seat will you fully appreciate following the proper break-in procedures for a brand new engine. Plus, it literally says in the Nissan manual that not following proper break-in can result in shortened engine life and reduced engine performance, so I believe it is you that needs to be educated.

    Curious what the quarter mile time wouldve been. Power is underrated but weight holds it back.

      I am going to say 14.3 seconds with the start I had. The trap speed would have probably been 100mph.

      @@b58forever The CVT actually makes it the faster off a roll car, faster than most competition. It doesn't waste time shifting.

      @@DMCarReviews i drove one like a month ago and i didnt like the transmission is so unresponsive for emergency acceleration slow ass hell i mean i like the car is confortable i like the looks but it can only compete with some v6 cars like honda accord g37 impala 3.6 cts 3.6 but it will not compete with cars like c43 g70 m340i q50 redsport in other words is a nice car but i rather spend little more and get a real sport sedan i have a g70 3.3tt and is a beast i got a 2019 with 33k miles for 34k and do 0-60 in 4.4 seconds stock

    excuse me, you left out the part where Nissan hasn't upgraded the cars drivetrain (aka-rubber band transmission, plagued with recalls and problems) like the rest of the cars out there, a KIA would beat this, sorry I owned one and sold it quickly!!

      The transmission is superb, and there are no major problems with the Maxima. Excellent car! You can get the Kia, no one cares :) The Maxima looks and drives better than most cars on the road anyway, especially in that class. I had a 2017, and it was a wonderful car.
