@@cliffcreates Do you mine doing one I would love that threw srt. I'm more of a visual person. I'm sure other people would love that too. Also keep up the great vids.
Hey bro appreciate your work, been following your tutorials to setup SRT streaming on my phone and it's been really helpful. Just wanted to ask about an issue I'm having, I can't seem to connect NOALBS to my OBS and I was wondering if it's because I have a dynamic ip, any chance you knew a fix for this? Thanks a lot man appreciate it
You're welcome and glad to have helped so far. Dynamic IPs are usually a no-go for streaming but from memory all you put in the NOALBS config file is "localhost" rather than the Server IP in OBS so it shouldn't matter if you have a Dynamic IP or not, otherwise it could be a typo in one of the other steps to get it working. I'll be doing a new video on NOALBS in the very near future. Thanks :)
@ ima using Belabox cloud do I write the stuff that says on Belabox on there? what the difference between the stream tab that says Moblin to Belabox to UA-cam ?
@@RideWithAnthony You're welcome. If you mean lag stream between your phone and OBS, that's normal for SRT (can be up to 10 seconds) unless it's another type of lag?
hey cliff, how can i mirror an iphone screen to OBS while IRL? basically trying to mirror the chat phone screen for text/phone call/chat phone content. thank you for your help
also is there some way to explain this more independently without relying on these services to complete the process of mirroring an iphone screen to obs
@@bellyoftheworld it depends on your home connection and if you can do port forwarding. If yes, then you can use Moblin which I only just tested and got it to work during yesterday’s live stream
You might have to explain your setup but from what I can tell you've got something like this... DJi > Moblin > Belabox > OBS If so, then yes. The phone with Moblin should be bonding Mobile + Wi-Fi internet for a stronger connection.
@@RideWithAnthony Not sure what you mean there because Moblin is the only app in this setup that can bond (join) connections: Mobile + Wi-Fi. Every other app can only use one (Mobile) or the other (Wi-Fi), not both. And Moblin can't bond two Wi-Fis unless you mean something else?
@ ahh okay, I think I know what you mean now - the RTMP server Moblin uses to connect to your DJi and your other Wifi Moblin is bonding to are cancelling each other out?
So I am able to click "Go Live" in the Moblin app and it sends my phone's camera feed and audio to OBS Studio. However, it only starts streaming if I am connected to the same network as my OBS. How do I get it to start streaming when I am just on cellular data?
You need Port Forwarding for Moblin to control OBS but the better option since you have Belabox Cloud is to use NOALBS instead. WIth NOALBS you can control OBS with chat commands. I cover how to set it up in this video here... ua-cam.com/video/JChh-3ihwdY/v-deo.htmlsi=5HmnFxUp4KXhGyLN

Should work if you have the Belabox hardware otherwise you might need a RTMP relay server version of this although the SRT protocol is part of what makes disconnect protection possible
@@Peteleeds1303 I wouldn't say that. RTMP has been around longer and is kind of the default protocol for almost every streaming product out there (action cameras, streaming apps, etc). SRT builds on what RTMP did and plugs in some of its shortcomings and, well, you have to use it with Belabox Cloud. Although I might have a use for RTMP in a future project ;)
streaming with the belabox cloud doesnt cap the quality? if i have 1080p/60fps settings it will be still 1080p/60fps when it comes to the obs and stream?
I couldn't find anything on their website, wiki or Discord and I'll check later but I regularly stream at 1080p30 from my phone, and output 1080p30 from OBS - no problem
Streaming at 1080p60 from my phone and all seems fine although tbh I have no idea how to get the frame rate from the media source, but if you'd really like to know you can always flick them an email or ask on their Discord. Thanks
hello cliffcreates i have 2 doubts 1. if the network is super strong , do we need disconnect protection and 2. What happens if the connection is lost (with no disconnect protection) will the stream ends or buffers ? or resumes if the connection is established.
Hi, all good... 1. Sadly the technology for mobile internet is never 100% strong all the time so when you're on the move like most IRL live-streamers your internet will eventually cut out. It's just part of the game. 2. Without disconnect protection, depending what app you're using, and the platform you're streaming to your stream might buffer for a few seconds - and then end. The annoying part is losing the viewers had and trying to regain them but as you try to reconnect the stream might end several more times breaking the whole stream into multiple parts. It's really messy and something I want everyone to avoid but I guess the only way know for sure is to go through all that for yourself. On a related note, I got a phone call while live-streaming and that would've ended the stream if I didn't have disconnect protection. Instead, my stream went to my BRB scene so my viewers could watch some clips in the meantime, then when the call was over I could resume the stream without it ending. Lots of things have made my stream go to BRB (running out of battery, notifications, app updates, swiping out of my IRL app, etc) Hope that explains why it can be useful. Thanks
@@cliffcreates but in your latest stream about iSteady v3 Unboxing there is no buffer in between , that means strong multiple network bonded connection eliminates the use of disconnect protection ?
@@RespectEmoji yeah, I was okay for that stream but if you click around my YT Lives you'll see I've still gone to BRB especially at big events like Armageddon Expo yet none of my Lives are broken up, they're just one big stream
