Early Purple Orchids in the Peak District (OH152)

They're only Early Purple Orchids but they always look their finest growing on the steep slopes of the Derbyshire Dales in the Peak District National Park.

Looks like O. mascula is one of the Dales' commonest wildflowers these days.. thanks for filming and posting!

I think the Dales are quite orchid rich all season long. Wish I was closer and could visit each month !

I popped down to Bedford Purlieus earlier on to see if any fly orchids had come out early, but nothing yet. Hopefully soon!
