"Here's how to install the TRX on a wall. Now that you've finished installing it on a wall, this is a good time to mention that installing it from a ceiling is best."
Maybe a dumb question .... The main support beam that runs the length of the house in the basement is made of a series of (3) 2x10 studs that are nailed together (to make roughly a 6x10, yes I know it's less due to being dimensional lumber). The bottom of this beam is about 7.5' off the floor. I'm curious whether I'd be better off mounting the X-mount to the bottom or side of this support beam. If I mount to the bottom, the screws would be in the 2 outside 2x10s. If I mount to the side, the screws would go through the first 2 studs and maybe into the third. I'm not sure which is stronger, and more importantly would either mounting location compromise the strength of the beam?!?!
Can you make more detailed video of how you put it on anchor and not of your face?! And for "detailed" you can use wide shot to actually see how it is done. Thx.
I have an unused fixture mount for a chandelier on the ceiling. The mount can support a fixture weighing over 200 lbs. I want to install the X mount directly to the electrical box, the same way I would mount the light fixture. I am not sure if this seriario is feasible. Has anybody ever tried something like this?
I have the T-Rex bracket to go I want to get the right bolt for for their wall like a concrete wall or a brick wall what size do I need I want to get the right bolt for the load will be using
hi . I have 2 wall mounts . I want to put 1 in very high on the wall ( as my ceiling is not secure enough. So i was thinking where to put the second one ? With resistance bands. Could you help me with that choice ? would you put in centered - mid range or maybe low at the floor ? What do you professionals recommend for optimal exercice combinations ? thx dirk from Belgium
Wall mount will have a higher vertical load tolerance, because the weight will generally be perpendicular to the anchors, rather than in line with them.
Serious question, is it safe to attach this in a 110 year old home. I’m not sure it’d be a good idea on a wall or even the ceiling. House is pretty much original. Structurally very sound, I’m just worried about stress on the wood.
It's nylon strap or some similar material like climbers use or tow straps, like what a truck might pull another truck out of a ditch with. It's stronger than you or any human needs.
@@kyrinky If you mount it correctly you it can support over 220 lbs no problem. The mount / straps will hold no problem. You need to make sure the lag bolts screw into the stud properly.
I'm confused why people always ask these types of questions. It's all relative to how tall you are. You can also adjust your TRX strap to shorten or lengthen your straps. The height of the mount does not affect the integrity of the working load..

Too bad he didn’t list what size socket to use on the wrench. Kind of important.
Wish I’d known this before my purchase. It’s a pain trying to do leg workouts against a door.

Is there any change in the working load if it is ceiling mounted as opposed to wall mounted?
same question
Wall or ceiling? Which one is better? Also, what is the recommended height?
Ceiling, so you have space underneath to work
A good mounting place would be in a header above a doorway because there's plenty of area to get a great connection for the lag bolts.
How can I be sure studs are strong enough? Is it just a given? Thanks
My box came with 2 wood screws, but no anchor/raw plug, for concrete??? I'm going to mount it in a concrete ceiling or wall.
Please take out the background music. Unnecessary distraction from what is intended to be an instructional video.

Another great video! Thank you. Very useful.

Would I be able to mount it on my ceiling, that was detected by my stud finder?
Yes - I have this exact same one and it’s on my ceiling
I know I'm kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?
@Clay Hugo try flixzone. Just search on google for it =)
Is it a bad idea to mount this above a window? It's the only accessable load bearing wall in my fitness room.

I want to disable the music so I can hear the man. Already difficult to understand what he's saying.
Is there any benefit to wall vs. ceiling mounting?
Ceiling Mount allows for a wider range of exercises!

It's fine as long as there is no dry rot.
How does one layer of the cloth material hold 200+ pounds??
It's nylon strap or some similar material like climbers use or tow straps, like what a truck might pull
another truck out of a ditch with.
It's stronger than you or any human needs.
Bro why you said, We don't want Metal on Metal ?
7 to 9 feet? Which one?
7 feet minimum, 9 feet maximum.
The music is too loud in the mix. With the guys voice giving out it makes it difficult to understand.
Hello, what trx set do you recommend for home use, in the garage while we are locked down. I see a few options online.
I ended up getting the trx pro 4x. It came with the x mount. Everything is built well. Very happy with it.
Tony B I’m iffy about the x mount, does it handle well under load?

Music too LOUD
i have a low ceiling garage. would 6"8" be high enough to install the x mount?

What kind of rachet? Will you please put the link or the brand of that?
👍👏
Terrible video, what height to install it at? Other useful info was at the end. I'm sure most people know how to install a bracket..
Terrible quality product - arrived cosmetically damaged. Disputed with CC after failed return refund.
time for a shave bud
it's also time for someone to inform you that you are petty, I'm glad I'm here to be the one to do it
