Beautiful! Do you sing still? I look at those young faces and marvel and wonder...Lovely to hear from a real live one! :) I have loved this choir most of my now lengthening life. Such upliftment. Happy Christmas! Peace and love from northern Ontario Canada. ♡
Listening to this in 2020 in South Africa in the thick of Covid but transported to other Carol Services I have taken part in over the years in schools in which I taught music. It is lovely to just celebrate the joy of Christmas in music. Thank you, Kings College Cambridge Choir of 1997.
Same! My grandfather used to blast this so loud in the basement, we could hear it in our bedroom all the way upstairs on the second floor and would fall asleep to the beautiful music.
I look more like a bunch of boys age 8 to 15 and some older boys singing well known carols in a beautiful gothic church. None of them seem to have wings - unless they are detachable.
Thank you and blessings. Peace on earth and good will among us all, now and forever. Time stamps are so great to have! An extra thank. Peace and love from Taralend Nova Gaia Commune-Unity in northern Ontario Canada.
Thank you for documenting these "behind the scenes" atmospheres of a happy day of activities, wonderfully candid, made the more appealing by one who knows what to expect by day's end. Bless you all and those you love.
Sorry, wrong video - You Tube did not pause as expected!!! Nonetheless, this is always a wonderful event to look forward to each year, for the tradition kept in place, and for the varying music which is added to the expected sounds.
Once in royal David's city, Stood a lowly cattle shed, Where a mother laid her baby In a manger for His bed: Mary was that mother mild, Jesus Christ her little child. He came down to earth from heaven, Who is God and Lord of all, And His shelter was a stable, And His cradle was a stall; With the poor and meek and lowly, Lived on earth our Savior holy. And through all His wondrous childhood, He would honor and obey, Love and watch the lowly mother, In whose gentle arms He lay. Christian children all should be, Mild, obedient, good as He. For He is our child-hood's pattern, Day by day like us He grew, He was little, weak, and helpless, Tears and smiles like us He knew, And He feeleth for our sadness, And He shareth in our gladness. And our eyes at last shall see Him, Through His own redeeming love; For that child so dear and gentle, Is our Lord in heaven above, And He leads His children on, To the place where He is gone. Not in that poor lowly stable, With the oxen standing by, We shall see Him, but in heaven, Set at God's right hand on high; When like stars His children crowned, All in white shall be around. A famous most sophisticated choir that permeates so much love Goodwill to all who listen & learn the real beauty of Christmas which the whole World needs to hear.
@Ubiquitary Not that terrific. The more you raise the volume the more you introduce noise and distortion and drive the sound into strain. Every audiophile knows this.
Without the blood of Christ we are each without hope🙏❤
Merry Christmas. Jesus alone can give us peace.
He's taking his sweet time.
@@lil-al If we want His help we need to cooperate .
WHen? WHen will this upstart jewish boy give peace. We've been waiting for 200 years and it is still not obtained. Get real, stop dreaming.
@@organbuilder272 He is NOT an 'upstart Jewish boy'; please do not be rude. The peace he brings is to one's heart and soul.

Hark the herald angels sing the precious rejoicing of love on earth. Our greatest gift. Merry Christmas.
Hail the heaven born Prince of peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Memory of singing at King's at the Choir festival as a treble so many years ago. A lifetime memory visited every Christmas

Humbug!!!
This is one of my favorite choirs. The organ is the crowning piece though. Its not Christmas unless you are in church with the pipe organ playing.
Fell asleep to this last night Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas 🎄
This magnificent King's College Choir Cambridge fills the space with peace , a divine Message and comfort for many people. God bless them.
Couldn't agree less

🇿🇦 me too.
You are not alone. Move here and enrich us. If you can. We could do with a bunch of people that can work.
So grateful for the magic of UA-cam and for this choir. Merry Christmas
This brings back lovely memories of being in bed as a young child listening to this on Christmas Eve night.
Same!

This choir is superb. Other choirs are measured against this choir, so excellent their reputatIon. It would not be Xmas without King's.
RIP Stephen Cleobury
The most beautiful christmas singing one can imagine. Really made in heaven.

After being left by his family AGAIN this time in England, Kevin McCallister just figured he was better off joining the Cambridge choir.
Lovely

Any idea what would be the organ chorale at the very end?

the audio on this video is too low (compared to most of the other carol videos) to enjoy. Does Google readjust the audio?
