Unlikely he got paid. Clauses like unlawful acts are often placed into players contract to deter the club from paying the players wages if they are found guilty of unlawful acts.
He’s not a victim but he still needs and deserves support. If you do something wrong that means you should face consequences but not that you should be left alone without support in dealing with the consequences and staying positive.
