Nice to see you on "my" bike 😆. Had mine for two years now and almost 20 000 km on it. Built rack for panniers, lowered footpegs, and raised handlebar.. Keep reports comming, thanx.
I took a 18 R9T Pure out on Thursday whilst my RT was in for a new quickshifter Fun little bike but over here in the thick fog and mist ,made me appreciate the wunderlich screen on my RT.
I feel for Kelly. But on the bright side, try a very large Ford dealerships parts department inventory. 2 floors of parts, it takes a very large team to get it done. Have a great weekend. Kelly...you should get a room and stay the weekend near work.
During the holidays I went through Vancouver and went to the store, I think you were not there, didn't ask. You should do some videos about your dogs. Your style of keeping the dogs reminds me of how we had our dogs when I was growing up.
Beautiful bike! I love the color combo with the matte blue and tan seat. Hopefully you get to ride today (Saturday)! I’ve been able to ride to work all week here in Omaha, Nebraska but with fresh snow this morning, it’ll be a few days before I can get back on two wheels... Thanks for the video! Take care.
Happy Saturday! I hope Kelly made it in to work safe this morning. That Scrambler is a cool looking machine! And I really like the blue on that R1250. I hope you get a beautiful riding day today. Peace and love.
Shawn, I like that Scrambler it’s really cool. Thank you for taking us along on your ride. I don’t envy Kelly on doing Inventory, I used to do it at Safeway here in Saskatoon when I worked there. I’m sure Kelly’s is much more tedious. Have a great Saturday!!!! 😊
The tread of front tires always look reversed, as the load on the tire (and needed traction) is under braking, where the rear is under acceleration... Thanks!
Shawn I have seen you ride on your vlogs and you are the most careful and aware rider I have ever seen. So for those who think differently well it has to do with where the sun don't shine. LOL!! The little beamer was very cool even if it did look naked. Tell Kelly I like her man down. Inventories tend to do that to ya. Trust me I would know. 700 sq ft freeze two tier freezer. Kelly just survive and Shawn be safe and enjoy your week end.
Parts inventory is tedious... count the nuts, washers, bolts, drain plug gaskets, etc.. Used to do that decades ago, but in a smaller parts department ... that one is pretty darned big. I hope Kelly had a safe drive ... driving in fog is headache inducing for sure.
Good morning from snowy Kansas. Love these videos. Any idea when you're going to be putting another Goldwing together and test riding? Thanks for everything.
Even the BMW adventure bikes have the exhaust under the engine. You can install a skid plate on this scrambler if you were going to get serious off road... Thanks!
Can you please give us a tour of your dealership? It looks huge!! Nothing like it near Albany N.Y.. You should do more wrenching too and not just the beginning and end.Keep up the great vlog!!
Hope You're were able to ride today, it will be nice to see You on something different, the DR, or Spyder or hopefully a Harley, someday a Ryker? Maybe? Well thanks for taking Us a long for the ride.
Mostly, they do have a little color from BMW doing their rolling-road tests, but they have massive fans blowing to keeps things really cool... Thanks Geoff!
Actually it’s a fairly new building purposely built as our corporate headquarters... Their logo for the company “Believe In Nice” slogan looks really close to Walmart’s logo at a glance! Lol Thanks!
I enjoy your videos Shawn. Question, not about this video, but in the past you have said you run non-ethanol fuel in all your bikes. I have a 2017 Harley RG dealer told me to run high octane, you have a '17 SG (same engine) , non-ethanol is 89 octane here and ethanol supreme is 93 octane. Which should I use ?
Definitely run the higher octane fuel... As you can ride year round, you probably burn the ethanol fuel off fairly quick and should never be an issue. Thanks Dan!
O no, not another cool bmw. Shawn you said if you had unlimited resources you would have all kind's of motorcycles, well by the look's of your garage you are pretty close to doing it. I'm rooten for ya.
Cant believe how much inventory you guys keep..Great for customer service,,In canada if you don't sell it in the fiscal year ,,in the new year you pay Tax on the inventory,,,
Kinda comparing apples and oranges, as they’re so completely different style and performance bikes… But it would be hands down a scrambler for me personally. Easy to maintain and will last forever..! Thanks!! 👍
you are truly one of you-tube's best motorcycle channels, I would love to sit down over coffee and just talk bikes with you!

Agree KM! This is my refuge from all the crap Purdy Boi Oldsom, Skelator Pelosi etc are shoving down our throat.
Nice to see another Canadian here. 😊🇨🇦
👍
That’s a neat little ride. Looks like you could have some fun on that. Thanks
Love the sound of that R9T. Have a good weekend.
Look like a real nice motorcycle to ride around all day nice test ride take care guys

So sorry that you have to work all weekend Kelly. AND A BIG THUMBS UP SHAWN AND KELLY.
👍👍
Good morning. snow on the ground here - so no riding for a few days...
hope your day is a good one.
Beautiful bike . One of my favorites to look at with that beige colored seat .
I took a 18 R9T Pure out on Thursday whilst my RT was in for a new quickshifter Fun little bike but over here in the thick fog and mist ,made me appreciate the wunderlich screen on my RT.
Very nice little bike love the color. Every time you ride one of these bikes I'm ready to buy it. I need to hit the lottery

Wow ! BMW is designing some fine looking bikes! The Karoos look perfect on it.I don't know why they don't come standard on all the big GS bikes.

Shawn great vlog as always. Cool test ride. Enjoy the weekend, sorry you have to go work Kelly. Be Cool and Ride Safe🇺🇸🏍🐶

Maybe I'm wrong, but the front tire seems to be mounted in the wrong direction based on the tread pattern.
The tread of front tires always look reversed, as the load on the tire (and needed traction) is under braking, where the rear is under acceleration...
Thanks!
@@TheSmoaksVlogs Great information, thanks for letting me know👍

Love that R9, looks like fun!
Good morning from snowy Kansas. Love these videos. Any idea when you're going to be putting another Goldwing together and test riding? Thanks for everything.
During the walk around I noticed the exhaust is below the engine exposed. Any concern about damage when riding off road?
Even the BMW adventure bikes have the exhaust under the engine. You can install a skid plate on this scrambler if you were going to get serious off road...

Hi Shawn, if I ever hit the lottery I WILL have to buy one of each , that BMW makes 🏁 too cool! Awesome thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Shawn, did the headers go that lovely colour just in the short time you rode it 👍😎😎🤣
Mostly, they do have a little color from BMW doing their rolling-road tests, but they have massive fans blowing to keeps things really cool...

@@TheSmoaksVlogs many thanks for replying Shawn 👍👍😎
Shawn,is that building behind your Shop at the Store a Old Walmart?
Actually it’s a fairly new building purposely built as our corporate headquarters... Their logo for the company “Believe In Nice” slogan looks really close to Walmart’s logo at a glance! Lol
Thanks!
Beautiful place man
Can you ride this w/o looking weird if your over 6ft tall?
OMG you bought it AGAIN!
That's one good looking bike... considering I ride a 2017 R9T Scrambler everyday. HA!

Also I live in Fl. so I ride year round
Definitely run the higher octane fuel... As you can ride year round, you probably burn the ethanol fuel off fairly quick and should never be an issue.

@@TheSmoaksVlogs Thanks, wasn't sure if it was a performance issue or while not being ridden issue
Beautiful bike! I hate when people call it a “hipster” bike, most likely because of BMW’s advertising of the bike. Oh, and no fuel gauge. That sucks.
I am used to not have a fuel gauge. You get a warning light when you have fuel for about 50 km left.
love that scrambler.....love to put that front end on my '99 R1100R...
Do you think BMW will ever use the new 1250 engine in the R Nine T lineup?
I think that would be pushing to be too powerful.
Dylan Wilson you’re probably right. Would be nice though!!!
Lower price bike with older motor
This looks a lot like Pro Caliber Motosports. Is the bike chain drive yet ?
Yes, this is Pro Caliber... All boxers are and always have been shaft driven. The only chain driven BMW’s are the F, G and S series...
Thanks Axell!
@@TheSmoaksVlogs good to know, thanks ! Keep up the good work.
I have the R nineT Racer and love it 😃
That is a sweet bike.
that scrambler is on my to have list an the 850 gs
Not a huge fan of boxers but I can't deny this is a beautiful bike
Your voice is awesome 🤘🏾

Cool
Definitely my choice of BMW the R9 T.
But as you said, if only I had unlimited income!
Bmw scrambler or s1000rr
Kinda comparing apples and oranges, as they’re so completely different style and performance bikes… But it would be hands down a scrambler for me personally. Easy to maintain and will last forever..!
