If anyone is interested, he's using from left to right on synthesizers: 1. Elektron Analog 4 MKII: 4-voice analog synthesizer that has 4 voice polyphony, 4 arps that can work independently (very unique in the industry). 2. Elektron Octatrak MKII: An incredible powerful sampler, mangler, drum machine, sequencer, and many other things. Complex as hell but rewarding. 3. Elektron Digitakt: A drum computer (machine) and sampler. Note that he's using Elektron gear. Probably some of the most intuitive gear on the market. If you notice, at the bottom, there's buttons shifting. That's the Elektron sequencer, the best built in sequencers in the market because of how powerful and insanely ease of use. Once you understand one Elektron instrument, you essentially understand 50% of the other gear. 4. The mixer choice, Allen & Heath 92, is spot on for production (another is the Pioneer DJM-V10 and Model-1) because of the return/send lines that allow you to add a series of effects processors for production on each channel. 5. ? (under the Digitakt) is some type of modular piece. In the synthesizer community, you have traditional synthesizers and the crazy people... the modular guys... where you piece together synthesizers in modules to create sounds. You send signals via wires... tons of wires. I'm surprised he doesn't have a plethora of effect processors.
More than a year later I can't get enough of listening to this Live. As a lover of electronic music, and secondly as a producer and dj, for me this should be exhibited in a music museum. It is a piece of art brought to the ear. To the most select ear. It is a spectacular masterpiece.
First time I saw HH was in LA in 2016 (his LA Debut) and man were our minds blown. And he just keeps getting better the more time he spends with his gear. Truly an underrated artist!
vinyl and digital decks are nice, but this is what im trying to save my life for. sound, bliss, rave. wanna take what ive learned and make sum fucking choons!
I always come across this stuff when I'm in full Techno mode so it never really hits me like I want it to. I gotta come back to his stuff when I'm in a totally different state of mind. He will be one of the things I look up next time I eat acid... do you have a recommendation for a live set of his that isn't in the HOR solitary confinement chamber?
so what differenciates someone regarded a pro and someone seeing the equipment for the first time and pressing random buttons? its random noises added to a beat either way....
Takes a long while to learn the Elektron sequencer. Once you do you also need to learn about sound. Subtractive synthesis basics. Filtering. Timing. Muting. Parameter locks. Sound locks. Conditional triggers and probability. Also you have to have some talent too not sound like every other newb techno person who bought ten thousand dollars of gear to make the same stupid house loop with clap retriggers like 99% of the folks out here trying to do this the “DAWless” way, it’s not easy and you wouldn’t understand anyways😊
This guy knows his gear like the back of his hand. We need more people like this.
I have a digitakt and I spend most of my time reading the manual. Elektron wizards are amazing
I hope they made the door orange specifically for him. And I like the ambiguity (gender-wise and species-wise) of the tassel.
Yess more live pa sets digital DJ's are kinda boring these days, hopefully he plays live for this Halloween party coming to Wisconsin 👾👾👾

I want them all. Just a matter of time
Thanks!! Great post!! 😉
90% sure the piece below the Digitakt is a Make Noise 0-coast

My teardrops turn solid when I see this guy live performance. Thanks for all the magic you share with us!

Best of experimental.
Try having a look on his 6AM interview.
I can definitely see his head but what I can't see is a horse. I'm disappointed!

I lose my head whenever I see this guy play live, which is ironic. Wicked stuff as always.

SpaceTimeManipulator STM Yeah his recent United We Stream set was pretty good. ua-cam.com/video/zlxG4wC0qlQ/v-deo.html
SpaceTimeManipulator STM But as you say don’t be expecting full 4/4 techno, it’s definitely a bit more leftfield which is cool.
OUTSTANDING.
Puro fuego 🖤
Tremenda apisonadora

Probably an 0-COAST

He is using erica and soma synths.
@@rumi00707 Yes, he is a endorser of Erica Synths.
@@rumi00707 it's a 0-coast. he's using it fairly often lately

This is literally the best DAWless artist I know of, up there with Dave Mech and Cenk/Dataline if not better
I recognize the electron kit, but which mixer is that?
I think it's Allen & Heath XONE:92
