Lizzie Bravo was a young brazilian fan that flew to London and, for some years, did not come back. She realized the dream of so many fans: became known by her idols and a friend, specially to John. She was one of those girls singing high notes in the "Across the Universe" version recorded for the "Our World" album. . So, one of those famous Apple Scruffs..
Lizzie Bravo, a Brazilian teenager, is depitcted next to John in the end of the video. She is the girl dressed in green. She published her diaries covering the days she spent in London (mostly at door of Abbey Road Studios) making rapid but friendly interactions with the Fab 4. Her diaries also cover her unique experience of recording Across the Universe with the band. She was part of feminine chorus. Her diary, transformed into a book called Do Rio a Abbey Road (From Rio to Abbey Road) also showcases several photographs of The Beatles taken by her and some taken by friends she made during her experience breathing the Beatles atmosphere for about of one and a half year in the Swinging London in the 60ies. That image in which she is dressed in green next to John is an example of such photos. I dont know if there is an English translation of the book. R.I.P. Lizzie (1951 - 2021) and I think we all must say nothing else but Bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Regards from Brazil to all Beatles fans around the world. ☮️ ✌
I knew friends who had access in the early 60's to go play in Patty Boyd's garden in Woking Surrey. I joined them sometimes and I saw several of these people there.
I've always thought it was wise of Paul to have a house relatively close to central London (and round the corner from Abbey Road) whereas John, George and Ringo were out in the sticks in stockbroker belt Surrey.
They were “advised” on places to put their money by people who lived that lifestyle. Paul had lived with the Asher’s and was more interested in the energy of the city and the proximity to cultural inspirations. I believe he still owns the property on Cavendish.
Wonderful days, everything just seemed as though it had its place and time routine and duty, and responsibility, family standard's expectations, and you probably fell in to your line of work in our many industry's and there was the routine of the day and night pubs clubs night clubs ,and at the end of night on TV the epilogue. good days for our country'
Only good on the surface, the rot had already set in: TSR2 cancellation spelt the death of British world-beating aircraft industry, unrest was brewing in the Ulster, the Sterling crisis loomed large as did inflation, the IMF loan as a fake balloon of oxyden to a faltering economy, and the time-bomb of obnoxious immigration was already ticking away. When looking back on the sixties, we can only look back in anger .....
That living room photo is clearly from 1967, so Paul already had at least a copy of that painting hanging above his mantle. It looks kinda shiny. Perhaps a paper print? So, maybe when he says he got it in 68, he means the actual painting. Perhaps Bob saw that he liked it and got the real one for him?
Imagine Paul living on Cavendish Avenue today. There would have to be barbed wire, video cam surveillance, at least a couple full-time security guards on duty. In other words, impossible.
But he still lives there. I mean, he still owns that house, though he spends more that in another house. And, the time you are taking about, was when they were on top....The sixties. The Beatles together. That was a time Paul needed barbed wire, not now. It was all full of fans at his door. I visited the place twenty times. It seems you think Paul is much more famous now than then. You are so equivocated.
I met him and shook his hand at the gate in front of that house on the sidewalk in May 1978. He had just gotten home driving a little purple Mini Cooper. He asked me where I was from. He was nice ! 😮 I did not ask for autograph or picture ...😮
At this Time in 1967 they were much more hunted then today by all the crazy Teen Fans. I am sure his Home was pretty well secured. You can see the high Gates around it.
@@peterschmitz6446 In 1978 (Wings) it was very unsecure. John Lennon had not yet been shot (Nov 1980) He had on a pin stripped sport jacket and I could see small strands of gray in his hair. A cat was on the sidewalk 🐈?
It’s a bit misleading ( and probably incorrect) to include photos of Mick Jagger that were obviously not taken at Paul’s home. Also , the Sgt. Pepper artwork was not purchased by Paul in 1966, as the concept of a fake band was not developed be the Beatles until late 66” and the artwork ( by Robert Frazier) was not even completed into the spring of 67”. Note: Paul had shaved off his mustache by May of “67.
Johns talisman necklace was eventually bought by Oasis Noel Gallagher who gave it to his brother Liam who allegedly came home from a bender the same day he got it casually claiming to have lost it
Anybody knows what this clip is about? I sure as heck do not. If you are a JOURNALIST -- you do not need a camera. If you are a PHOTOGRAPHER -- you need one. If you are a PHOTOGRAPHER and go to a shoot and forget to bring your camerra -- then obviously you are not a photographer, just a bumbling jerk. Also, I am not sure anyobody would have a journalist or photogapher hang around his house for half a day, what was allegedly the case here.
Of course mick was hanging around the Beatles...like john Lennon sang , i roll a stoney you can imitate anything you want..clear jab at the stones for trying to copy the Beatles all the time

A few years ago I went to Paul's house and then took the short walk like he did to Abbey Road Studios. It was one of my favorite days ever.
Me imagino. Una experiencia única.
Beautiful Fotos of Paul, Mick & John🎉
Lovely London home. With the world famous Martha. St. Johns Wood which is very accessible as rich neighborhoods go.
Thanks a lot for the vid, great story!

They can't all have been taken at the same meeting as John has has a moustache in some pics but clean shaven in others
Its dedinately a compilation.
A fascinating aside to mid-sixties rock personas.

Was that sheep dog Martha from ‘Martha My Dear ‘ ? Paul always said it was about his dog. Stones and Beatles fan since 1967. Cheers from Montreal
It looks like Paul's brother was also sitting on the couch , but this was not mentioned
Who is playing, All You Need is Love?”
Is that really Paul's house living room on Cavendish around the corner EMI studios?
Very first time seeing it, wow!
Some with mustache some without. Looks like a bunch of random photos, anyway pretty cool. never seen a lot of these

Strange enough...
I got hit by a car the next day.

Can you stop saying "iconic"?
That is one dull video.
Usual UA-cam bullshit.
