wow! What a great video for beginners, I am in awe! After watching a few 'beginner trout fishing' videos yesterday, I decided to stop, they all expect one to know already how and where to put bait, weight, etc. THANK you SO MUCH! I am writing this already at being just 1/3 into your video. Bought a telescopic rod for the backpack, hooks, weights, baits, line, the person at Cabela's was very helpful and recommended exactly what you show in your video. You got yourself a subscriber, young man. I am a retired female in my 60's, making camping/hiking trips with my SUV, and thought I give fishing a try, usually things work out for me when I do proper research. It looks like I found my 'to-go-channel' :D

Are tiny stock ponds like that just used to test different rigs and baits? I feel like you could tie a hook and line with a hotdag on it to a broom to catch a fish in a stocked pond that small.

What’s your opinion on treble hooks? Don’t they hold power bait easier?

For me treble hooks and regular hooks are a tie for trout. Treble hooks definielty hold the bait a little better, but sometimes I feel I lose bites because the hooks are a little larger and the trout sometimes pick up on the hook

Try small 3 inch swimbaits! They destroy trout. We primarily throw swimbaits and rooster tails for trout. BFG

isn't 4 lbs line to light and will just end up getting snagged ripped off or tangled ending up making you lose your rig or lure
