Even wukong is killed by the heavenly court no wonder the small piggy and those spiders. So the piggy choose not to gather with them so spiders will not be harm. Then piggy choose to help the destiny one, one succeed beat the heavenly court, piggy can go back to the spider cave.
Since piggy is an actual immortal on the heavenly Court, he is not allowed to fall in love with yaoguai which is Defined as evil by the heavenly Court.

Ok, here is the story of animation: in the novel of journey to the West, Bajie or Pigsy was Marshal Canopy, commending 80k celestial sailors. So he is not kinda nobody but a big name at Celest Court (heaven). But only due to his seduction of Chang'e (moon goddess), he was banished from the court and cursed to become an ugly piggy. In the game animation, Bajie chased Chang'e and accidentally bumped into "unspeakable" dating between Chang'e and Jade Emperor (presumably), with later one being highest god in Heaven, and Bajie was transformed to be a piggy, same as the result in journey to the West. However, during the chase of Chang'e, Bajie ran into a maid, and this girl fell love with Bajie at the first glance, even though she knew that Bajie loves Chang'e (tbh Bajie is literally lascivious in the novel and he loves any beauties). After the banish, the girl asked for the trace of Bajie, being told that he was punished by the Emperor and transformed to be a piggy on the earth (the mortal world). BUT, in Chinese pronunciation, A PIG sounds with Yi Zhi Zhu, same as A SPIDER (sounds Yi Zhi Zhu), so the tragedy or we can say misunderstanding was created. The maid chose to transform to a spider, just urging to be the same kind of her beloved Bajie, whereas she did NOT know that realistically Bajie became a piggy. Jevs rollercoaster of emotions is exactly how I felt when I fought Hundred eye Daoist. At first I was wtf am I getting into and then continuously getting beat up made me question everything until I had a couple runs that made me realize he's easily beatable and finally got it. Jev the secret area’s are 1000% percent worth it, they’re not as long as the chapters and they give essential VESSELS that will counter the bosses for that chapter, and this one was by far the coolest, you’re missing out big time on some insane rewards

Bro u missed a whole secret section in the webbed hollow also a transformation u miss out on. There's alot of hidden areas in this game. The place u missed is secret purple cloud mountain which u get there by the area in the webbed hollow. Also the best current spirit that I've found so far is called the Apramana bat it can literally freeze enemies in place. Upgrade it all the way because frost is really good in this game.
The worst part about the hundred eye daoist is that there's a quest that gives you an item for his 2nd phase that makes him pretty easy. There's a scorpion boss you have to defeat but I died on him so many times either the game felt bad and just made him disappear or it glitched. Regardless, you gotta defeat 3-4 bosses to unlock the needle.
No, you don't need to beat him. The reason he disappeared for you is probably you skipping cutscenes. If you don't kill him, he joins you during the fight against the actual boss you need to kill for the repowered needle, and he gets killed by the boss. I suspect you just went ahead to kill the final boss of the area.
The scorpion was damn hard, the other dude that you get the needle from though was unexpectedly easy, beat him on the first try xD i think that is like the 2 boss in this game i didn't have to get gud for 🤣

btw the focus gain after seethrough is huge, there are many enemies that you can't stagger/knockdown without more than 1 focus and this can get you to 3 easily. Where as enemies would normally flinch with 1 focus, they get knocked back/down if you just wait like half a second for 2-3. crit is not nearly as useful until end game where you can stack lots of it
Zhu bajie was one of my favorite characters in the original story. He is a nice guy, has a strong sense of humor and easy to get along with. I also like Sha heshang, who is a humble and helpful person. 😅
You can get locked out of some side quests and secret bosses by beating the chapter bosses. People don’t know if it’s a bug or intentional and it sucks because there are some spells and transformations that you can get from them as well. New game+ here I come.

But the destiny pulled them together again, Bajie sneaked to watch beauties "bathing" in the river with shaping to a catfish (quite skeezy isn't it? lol), by then the maid (lady spider) recognized Bajie and gave herself to him. This is the back story of the animation. Again, if you have not read the novel or know little about the back story, you must be fairly confused by the animation.

Jev the secret area’s are 1000% percent worth it, they’re not as long as the chapters and they give essential VESSELS that will counter the bosses for that chapter, and this one was by far the coolest, you’re missing out big time on some insane rewards

Bro u missed a whole secret section in the webbed hollow also a transformation u miss out on. There's alot of hidden areas in this game. The place u missed is secret purple cloud mountain which u get there by the area in the webbed hollow.
Also the best current spirit that I've found so far is called the Apramana bat it can literally freeze enemies in place. Upgrade it all the way because frost is really good in this game.

The worst part about the hundred eye daoist is that there's a quest that gives you an item for his 2nd phase that makes him pretty easy. There's a scorpion boss you have to defeat but I died on him so many times either the game felt bad and just made him disappear or it glitched. Regardless, you gotta defeat 3-4 bosses to unlock the needle.
No, you don't need to beat him.
The reason he disappeared for you is probably you skipping cutscenes. If you don't kill him, he joins you during the fight against the actual boss you need to kill for the repowered needle, and he gets killed by the boss. I suspect you just went ahead to kill the final boss of the area.

Jev if you defeat the blacksmith at the area where all the npcs are at or the "hideout or base" you can unlock the "ebon flow" which is supposedly "the best" transformation. Good video 👍

Jev, my god you got me laughing hard even if don't get to pay attention at some points because of multitasking, this is a brilliant series
btw the focus gain after seethrough is huge, there are many enemies that you can't stagger/knockdown without more than 1 focus and this can get you to 3 easily. Where as enemies would normally flinch with 1 focus, they get knocked back/down if you just wait like half a second for 2-3.
crit is not nearly as useful until end game where you can stack lots of it

You can get locked out of some side quests and secret bosses by beating the chapter bosses. People don’t know if it’s a bug or intentional and it sucks because there are some spells and transformations that you can get from them as well. New game+ here I come.
