Matt, I am a MA going to medical school and I landed myself in the ER last night thinking I had positive McBurney’s point concerning for appendicitis. The hardest concept to learn in adulthood is listening to your own body. I was wrong and thankful I was. There’s no shame in going for peace of mind even if you didn’t end up in the OR. Proud of you and Carly and Erin for being the best patient advocates! Rest and feel better!

I have an Adam Sandler story!! A few years back he was filming a movie and renting a house in my town. I was at a pizza place with my family, my friend and her family and had just come from soccer practice. He came in with some people and sat at the table behind us. The shirt I was wearing had my last name on it which is Martinez, and he randomly said “hey Martinez” to me. I turned around and said hi but i was so confused lol

MATT! i’m so happy you’re okay. i, too, have been a hospital hallway girlie! straight from a bad car wreck where i rolled off the highway. i was covered in mud and found out by the end of it i had a broken wrist and ribs. happy to virtually trauma bond w you.

So glad you went! This happened to my mom last year. Doctors took it out and sent it to the lab and turns out she had a tumor in the very bottom portion of it! Glad you’re okay, Matt!! ❤

I loved this episode it’s also cool that I know a lot of the stories because I watch everyone’s vlogs.
I have a distant memory of Matt telling his full encounter with Donald Glover/Childish Gambino. He’s mentioned it before on GI but I feel like it was on unfiltered when he told the full one.
Also Carly and Erin saw Matthew Gray Goobler in a vlog haha.

lol i used to work at universal and would see celebrities every once in a while but I saw Carly and Erin once and wanted to say hi so bad but wasn’t allowed 😂 but my coolest celebrity sighting was that i went on vacation to London and ran into Matty Healy at a store!

appendicitis is so unpredictable! i had appendicitis when i was 16, i only had pain for a day before going to hospital. I was booked in for surgery that night but an emergency came up and i was booked for first thing the next morning. 6 hours before my surgery my appendix ruptured badly and it took 4L of fluid to flush all the toxins out. I ended up then getting an infection from backed up fluid resulting in me having a second surgery and a pic connected to my heart and a bag for excess fluid. Was in hospital for 10 days just for appendicitis!
When i went for my follow up appointment they had told me my appendix had actually been rotting for a long time, i had a gangrenous appendix but didn’t show any symptoms till 1 day before it burst. That experience absolutely traumatised me

omg I was just googling some of the people you guys mentioned and I found out this guy from the "Welcome to Chillis" vine (Adam Perkins) is actually dead, he died in 2015 at age 24. Which kinda makes the whole story even sadder.
