Next time try combining it out and wrapping it then tie it down with s satin scarf. Then set under the hooded dryer for about 10 minutes when you unwrap it will still have curls and body but will lay down better with less frizz. Some use a flat iron only on the roots that are exposed but you don’t have to…just some tips. But it’s beautiful the way it is as well 😊

I think you did a good job. Based on how it looked when you took your bonnet off in the morning, I would wager that it may not have been completely dry when you took the Rollers down. Lotta body can actually make you think it's dry when it isn't.
I would also suggest pin Curls on top of your head with scarf or bonnet to sleep instead of a pineapple. They will help maintain the curl.

You had it, you were just scared 🤣 do the same roller set (you could add the Lotta Body to the water so its not so concentrated and crunchy when dried). Let your hair fully fully dry. Comb through your hair and wrap the hair around your head to loosen the curls if wanted, Wrap and scarf at night. Yes put a little oil on your hands when you loose the curls. You will be very Happy with the results.

    • @chal3t

And don’t forget the put Saran Wrap over your hair after you wrap it, sit under the dryer for 15 minutes and then either style or put on scarf and go to bed. Also when doing the roller set, the larger the rollers the bigger the curls (or straighter the hair).

@@chal3t Truly! I did my hair like this for yearssss.....🤣🤣🤣 Just make sure its dry. At night wrap and a scarf. If the curls get too loose, dry roll with no product or water. This will hold until your next wash. Oh, I hit them roots with a little straightening comb 🤣🤣Before I comb thru the lightly crunchy curls.

What happened in the beginning is exactly what happens to my hair. It looks great then it frizzes like nobody’s business. It’s better if I leave it alone slicked back and put it in a ponytail with leave in but that is sooo boring

With those snap on rollers you may also want to secure them with a duck bill clip for extra security.

you are so funny, and got a good laugh... sweetie you gotta use clips to hold the rollers nice and tidy that's why your roots is so knotty...

If you dont care ti jse the metal clips with the magnetic rollers, on e all the rollers are in, simply tie up w/a large triangle net, sold at most all beauty supply stores or probably Amazon as well. Proceed to air dry. I don't like sitting under a dryer ~ the noise in the ears.

You were supposed to shake those curls and not pick them apart!!! They were beautiful and silky prior to the end results. When you said you couldn't go outside with your hair like that, it was actually beautiful! You only needed to fix the back to remove the huge part that showing. Next time try it that that and tame your edges just as you did. ❤

I dont think you should have put it in a ponytail, that messed it up. Next time just let the curls fall and put a bonnet on at night

It's not going to be straight because your hair is not relaxed. You are forcing your natural curl into an unnatural shape. Relax, it looks beautiful.

That is not true at all. Please keep researching for tips because there are plenty of naturals who roller set their hair silky and have been for tens of years. It's such an old school practice.

Too much hair on the rollers, don't let any be falling off. Use setting foam, with smaller amounts of hair make sure rollers are tightly wound.
