- Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the country’s main contenders for the role of Nigeria’s next president alongside Abubakar Atiku of the main opposition PDP, Peter Obi, of the Labour Party and Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso of New Nigeria People's Party.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a businessman and once a governor of Lagos state credited with transforming Nigeria’s commercial hub has been faced with accusations from the opposition as well as allegations of corruption, and health issues. Despite this, he asserts he is the man for the job.
As general election campaigns are underway in ahead of the Nigeria general elections, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been speaking to BBC Africa's Peter Okwoche about the source of wealth, his priorities and why Nigerians should vote for him.

I really cannot understand anyone who will cast a vote for Tinubu. Oh I see, he will have no clue when they are looting our wealth under him. All who will vote Tinubu are Nigeria’s biggest problem.
Exactly, because he will be president by proxy if he wins and so many strong men from his team will suddenly do things that he himself won't have any idea about which I suspect is what happened with Buhari's govt in some cases.
I can't understand anyone who would vote for obituary, somebody who can not be sell for 10 Kobo, his investment worth almost nothing in Anambra as a governor.

I suspect that the success and failure of a likely Tinubus presidency will depend on the proxies he chooses to administrate on his behalf. I suspect that he will remain aloof of the deep issues and delegate matters to his trusted aides. Considering the state of Nigeria, we need a president who can micromanage the nation's affairs. We need a leader that is energetic and solution-oriented.
No Presisent can micromanage a country. So ultimately, a president will be only as good as those he surrounds himself with.
Do we have that in any of the candidates.
Also Nigeria's problem is bigger than 1 man, believe me.

Thank you, BBC for this brief interview and for not making it more than 8 minutes. Bola Tinubu cannot explain his source of wealth; he also ascribes to himself a position millions do not agree with. That he is the only one that can rule Nigeria. The International Community must not treat Nigeria the way it did in 1993 when it looked away as the country descended into chaos.
Bola Tinubu and his presidency will bring chaos to Nigeria as it does not represent the diversity and heterogenous federal nature of the country.
