The Basics: Centering the Clay

- Let's break it down! Here is the first of a series of videos breaking down every step of throwing a small cylinder. This pottery video addresses how to center a 1.25lb ball of clay. Here are some do's and don'ts perfecting the MOST important part of throwing a pot.
You're really good at explaining - watched a lot of these beginner videos and understood the best from yours to help me know what I'm doing wrong.
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm taking classes but I learned how to center much easier watching your videos. I centered 2 lbs of clay today in 30 seconds! I find it extremely helpful that you explain what NOT to do. Please keep these coming, @mudgirl Pottery!

I tend to kaka a lot. Its more "youtube friendly" than some of the other words I want to use! Spreading the #clayaddiction in the "cleanest" way possible. I just put up a long one. Three cylinders of varying widths! enjoy!
