Hope I am wrong but…I think big pharma has caused fibromyalgia so we can keep going back to them and filling their pockets. In this day and age there is NO! way this cannot be FIXED!!!!! and eliminated completely. Yes, I too am a sufferer and still suffering from this man made nuisance…you could say I have giving up. It started in my 30s & now I am 70. Tried every thing. Nonetheless I pray you do not give up.🕊

My doc told me fibromyalgia may be a problem in our central nervous system. There is pain and aches in the tendons which attach to our muscles which then ache. No one in my family of 8 siblings has fibromyalgia, and my mother lived to 94 and never had any body pain in her life. I am prescribed Lyrica and Cymbalta and it works some days. More info on the internet now them ever. On my worst days I pray and talk to God, yes He is real and loves us all but we must live our lives here on earth to learn how to forgive and to Love.

The gene can also be recessive. Symptoms may be brought on by an injury, stressor, or trauma in life.

Many people have found lasting relief from fibro, IBS, CFS , chronic pain, and similar disorders through the use of clinical hypnosis. While hypnosis isn't for everyone (nothing is) the peer-reviewed research reports are overwhelmingly positive. Typically there are from about 4 to 12 one-hour sessions conducted over a period of several weeks with the first sessions dealing with pain relief and improved sleep. Hypnosis is VERY effective for relief from chronic pain and sleep disorders, usually with immediate relief. However, medical (or clinical) hypnosis is not a replacement for your usual medical and/or psychological treatments: it should be integrated into your treatment program for the best results. These days sessions are very often conducted via the internet so you can stay in the comfort of your own home or office during these sessions. The problem (isn't there always a problem?) is finding a hypnotist or hypnotherapist who specializes in this kind of care: there aren't very many. Some are medical doctors, some are psychologists, and many are not traditional medical professionals. Your local hypnotist who sees people for smoking cessation or weight loss may not be the best provider to see for medical-related issues, mostly due to a lack of specialized education and training. But it's really important for you to understand that hope is realistic (as the late Michael Ellner used to say). Your past doesn't have to be your future.

I took guaifenesin for my post nasal drip for a week and I got the worst GERD of my life in my throat. It was like a ball of fire in the bottom of my throat. It took 2 days for the GERD/heartburn pain to go away after stopping taking the medicine.

I wish the GPs in the UK were this helpful. We see rheumatologists, but they really don't help either.

7:26 I've been there. Not able to hold my arms up to shampoo. I used to have to put a pillow under my arms to drive.
3 days now of 600 a day. If I'm not getting the "it's worse before it gets better" thing, should I up the mg? Now, what if my pain is doing better? I'm going to stay where I'm at until something changes. Unless anyone has advice.

Is this still true? I have fibromyalgia, dysautonomia and hurt from head to toe, trouble breathing, and I’m so weak and can barely lift my arms. I also have congestion, chest pain, terrible leg and feet pain hurts to walk. Any advice??

I also have fibromyalgia and understand how difficult it is. But it's also worth looking into vitamin d deficiency. That can improve your energy and lessen pain as low vitamin d can worsen fibro by amplifying pain and other symptoms. Also, don't eat dairy and lower carbs/sugar to help reduce phlegm/mucus.

@@thegalhorowitz why can’t I just get an easy answer, why do I have to buy and read a book? I’ll go elsewhere, and research to get the answer, seeing how no one here is helpful !

@@luannfry4339 because it depends, your weight your age, your other drugs, and my time , all the long details are online already. Instead of writing this you couldve googled =) they say best to take long acting mucinex ; I take 1200 mg once a day but i heard 600 twice a day or 300 mg ... its supposed to be a dose that you feel an effect. All in all Id say if you are like me around 50 kg try 600 or 1200 once a day to see how you feel

@@thegalhorowitz Which brand of Mucinex are you talking about also there’s the orange box, blue box, and a green box, Ive taking Mucinex D before and it didn’t seem to do anything, that’s why I’m asking so many questions about which box and how much. I’m 57, a diabetic, with thyroid issues, fibromyalgia, CFS, Hashimoto disease, lupus, you name it, I just want some relief. Asking questions should be a quicker way to get answers not go to google waste a bunch of time looking info. Up, and having to read through it all to find out that isn’t the correct info etc... I do a lot of research on google, and it takes forever to verify info, to be sure you got the correct info etc.. I want the answer sooner than later ! Thanks

@InCogNito According to the protocol, it gets worse before it gets better. As the guifenisen clears the built up phosphate from a person's body, the symptoms temporarily get worse.
