I'm so happy somebody gets to use the Z9 on wildlife. All I have seen so far has been sports. That's nice and all, but I am in love with wildlife photography. I hope to rent this camera some day.
Kristi, Just wanted to say hello from another Longmont based wildlife photographer / instructor. I enjoyed your Z9 videos at the intro. Ready for the Z9 to start shipping! I love the wildlife at your pika/marmot location. I have spent years on that mountain 😁
Very much enjoyed your video taken on the Z9. I’ve ordered mine, hopefully get some time next year. Please let me know if you recorded internal on CFExpress, card what the size was the card or brand and card write speed, required to record, 8K 60P RAW Video and the 4K 60P Prores RAW、Prores 422HQ. How long you were able to record 8K RAW Video for in time per GB or TB size of card you used and for the 4K 60P Prores RAW and the 4K 120P 10bit N-log. I know you can get 512GB, 1TB and 2TB what you found best and could recommend. Thanks regards Nigel Rand.
Hi Jensen - To record slow-motion video, you will need to record in a high frame rate like 120 fps and then edit in content in post-production through editing software to achieve the results desired. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
@@nikonusa Hi Nikon - yes - thank you for the reply … I have been experimenting with it - y’all absolutely killed it with this camera - so stoked on it!!! Thank you!
How much of the frame should the subject occupy for the eye AF to work? You seem very close to the wildlife encouraging your viewers to do the same. Is it worth it?
Hi Suriya - We always recommend you maintain a safe and ethical distance from the wildlife, like Kristi did here. As Kristi also demonstrates, you can also use telephoto lenses to fill the frame while keeping your distance. The enhanced Eye Detection AF automatically tracks the eyes of people, dogs, cats and birds and more, even when they’re smaller in the frame /further away, covered by hair, glasses or goggles, right-side up or upside down.
Hi Kris! Yes. You can play back 4K120 without slowing it down. The HDMI is a type A connection that is 2.1 compliant. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi Wanda - The Nikon Z 9 is compatible with NIKKOR Z lenses, as well as over 360 F mount lenses when the optional Mount Adapter FTZ or FTZ II is attached.
Is that true? With lossless compressed just 25-40 RAW images as buffer? Please show a video it’s not true as it’s very shocking for me. And is it also true that highest compression is 12bit RAW?
Video is 12bit raw next year, 14 bit raw for stills. For the buffer issue watch Ricci or Matt Granger both explain the buffer situation. It was a card issue certain cards are too slow .
@@kirkbarker5004 You also did not watch Matt‘s video carefully. He uses highest lossy compression. Sure your get more RAW images buffered as just 1/3 of size. But it’s lossy. Reports state that LOSSLESS COMPRESSED gives only 30-40 RAW images.
@@kirkbarker5004 You don’t understand the tech. High efficiency is the highest compression on the Z9, 1/3 of the uncompressed. The efficiency compression is comparable to Canon or Sony compressed RAW. This hugest efficiency is something they don’t have and we can expect here a higher degradation of IQ. I want to see the performance in buffer when lossless compressed. This is missing and Matt did not test this.
@@Stefan1968ful I do understand tech the high efficiency are smaller files which means less data to write to the card meaning more files written. High efficiency doesn’t mean highest quality but I was saying that Sony and Canon do the same thing they use smaller raw files as well. Jared Polin complains about the drop to 12 bit instead of the 14 bit.
Best ever brand and camera!
Kristi, you've got such a great perspective, and your results are always gorgeous and stunning. Excellent!
Awesome work Kristi! What a camera...so exciting!
Great job! Congrats to you and Kudos to Nikon!

Wow, so amazing, Great job, all in one camera.
Thanks Nikon Z9

Wow.. Nikon 👌 👏🏻
Nice! have you shoot N-RAW or H265? tx
Nice! Is there a crop in 4k 120?
i want a pika and the z9 now. Actually a 24-30mp sport camera AF would be nice.
What video profile did you use? Vlog

Nikon ❤️
I'd love to smell it one day😢😢
How do you get slow motion- is it done in the computer? Just tried every setting on my z9… I’m new to video.

Can't fight with Canon R3.

Nice!
CAN ANY OF MY LENSES FIT FROM MY NIKON 7000?
Hi Wanda - The Nikon Z 9 is compatible with NIKKOR Z lenses, as well as over 360 F mount lenses when the optional Mount Adapter FTZ or FTZ II is attached.
Why 720p only?!
Can you give me this camera? I love it. Its price is high,
Nikon grant me the honor of getting it for free. ( I Can’t afford it already)

Did you know that Ancient Egyptians worshipped Pikas and considered them gods?
Why only 40 FPS lossless compressed buffer
Why Nikon why ?
It was a fault of a slow card. The real buffer depth with fast card is closer to 1000 RAW files (14 bit lossless compressed 20 FPS).
80 fps on Delkin black ..40+ on Sandisk ..30+ on XQD
The hardest shooting kids running in a dark room!
samnail is fling bird .
TAKE MY MONEY
I bet pika taste like chicken!
