Mark Cruz is an exceptional presenter as well, there's not a single time I've seen him stutter or miss a beat. I'm so impressed not only with the video but with the Z9 and Nikon, really well done! WELL DONE Nikon! I was about to bail ship as a loyal Nikonite for 11yrs (started with a D90 and currently own a Z6) but I can't wait to see what you do with a Z6iii - I am rooting for you guys!
THis video was so much more interesting to watch than the live announcement video. Really happy with all the video features! Make sure you send copies to Pete, Gerald, and Make Art Now!
This is the first zero fluff, true to the adjectives product release. It's all about the internal Prores baby! Now please also add Prores 422 LT and Prores 422 in all recording modes internally and you're set to go! I never use H.264 or H.265 anymore, it's all Prores or some sort of compressed RAW for video.
Loved EVERYTHING 🥳 This is the mirrorless camera I've been waiting on from Nikon bc I don't want to switch systems. It's pre-ordered (along with that 100-400)! I'd eventually love to see a Z 12-24/2.8 VR in the future 🙏🏾
Oh Nikon, we’ve been waiting for this sensor! Way to bring the heat with a camera that doesn’t overheat!🔥 Please quickly bring this stills AND video beast new sensor of yours down to the Z7 and Z6 and continue to expand your awesome lenses. Your files have ALWAYS been gorgeous! Way to go, showing them why you’re NIKON! 😁 #NikonReputationRestoration
I bought a z7ii and immediately sent it back; just couldn’t get over the lack of a pro feel over my d850. I thought the z9 would be great but I didn’t want to spend 7k just to start in a new system. But, at this price point, I can see myself actually moving over to mirror less in the next year or two.
Hello Mr Mark I have question why dose Z9 have less autofocus points then competitors also I would like to know I did order on launch day at 8:15am from Amazon 🇺🇸 and 3rd day from B&H also way long when Z9 announced input my name on waiting list from one more Nikon dealer so how soon I can get Z9 ?

I would think yes to an extent. Of course one cannot forget that the underlying hardware between the Z6/7ii series is vastly different than that of the Z9.
Hi Daniel - Yes, the Z 9 comes with a Nikon-developed 45.7MP BSI stacked CMOS sensor, coupled with the new EXPEED 7 image processer. Learn more at nikonusa.com/z9.
@@nikonusa Thank you for clearing that up. For some reason, I couldn’t find it on the website. It says it’s a stacked sensor, but I didn’t see anything about it being a stacked BSI sensor.
I doubt many will be available until Spring 2022.... Also don't expect any major upgrades to the other Z mount Nikons. That might affect sales of Z9. I don't expect they will bring the specs of the Z7ii up to the level of the Z9 AF. More likely they will bring out a Z7iii . Then how long before there's a Z10 ?
Well given that the underlying hardware is entirely different yeah I wouldn't expect the Z6/7ii to be anywhere near the Z9 capabilities. Expeed 7 in Z6/7iii is of course the likely route, but I would anticipate some improvements with new firmware release for the Z6/7ii
Hi Gino! We will continue to release firmware updates to enhance performance for existing Z series cameras. You can download the latest firmware at: bit.ly/3KkY4xz
Two things that bother me: Flash Sync speed is only 1/200. It seems like we keep going lower and lower. My first DSLR was the Nikon D40 which had a sync speed of 1/500 in iTTL mode and could be even 1/1000th of a second if in manual mode! It was insane that I could balance out the harsh middle of the day Sunlight with a single SB-600 flash. I should have appreciated it more because once I went to the D90 and later D600/D610, all of that was gone. I guess it's good that at least the newer cameras have a lot more dynamic range so I use artificial lights a lot less but it's disappointing that the fancy electronic shutter still scans instead of just fire up all the sensor pixels at once. The next thing is the FTZ adapater...the first one should have included AF-D lens support and the 2nd one should have been the compact AF-S only. That way everybody would be happy but nope, Nikon is turning its back on their older lenses even though they are perfectly fine.
I always use nikon. I have nikon d3300. I was very happy with its sharpness and quality. A few days ago, from nikon's website, I downloaded firmware update, 1.02 and lens data 2.018. After that image quality became very bad and sharpness in totally gone. After zooming the image, it looks like a cellphone quality image. Now, can you help me to get my old firmware version 1.00 and lens data version 2.02? I will be grateful.

The buffer can only shoot 20 frames a second in "high efficiency raw"? That is the same size and information as a large JPG? Will the camera's buffer choke out using 14 bit RAW?
Hi James! The New RAW format retains the same high image quality, dynamic range and flexibility as conventional RAW files with approximately 1/3 smaller file size., This allows for more than 1000 frames capturing 14-bit RAW files When using select CF Express cards.
@@nikonusa Thank you! if I do shoot 30-80 frames in a second in full raw, which I doubt, in full raw how long will the buffer take to clear when i pause for 80 more shots?
