Dude, your killing me. That ending was the bomb 😂
Yes, and he dropped one for sure. LOL
@@jayjayjay4788 LMAO
I laughed out loud.. Spudhead humor at it's finest!
Last scene was hysterical!
That ending was an expert level clinic on comical misdirection.
On topic: The new trailer is looking pretty good. The old trailer is also still looking pretty good.
That last scene. That's what I call multitasking.
I like the new trailer better. Factory did an amazing job on repairs.
OMG!! Your best video yet! The “romantic” music and the wine pouring did not prepare me for what came next! Hahahahaha you’re something else. Looking forward to more soon. And yes, I do like this one way more than the A frame. This is more like a home, in my opinion. Cheers!
Same thing here. I loved how the romantic music started, liked the picture, but then saw the toilet paper role in it and said in disappointed Whyyyyyyyyyy!
(.....then I realized why)
LOL
Yeah me too that was brilliant
My reaction too, Jean!
That's Slim ... pure and simple, Lol.
I agree with everybody that this is one of Slim's for sure. The only significant difference between Slim's (and maybe your) style of camping is that I have a 75-pound dog that I have to attend to pretty much everywhere I go..
The factory performed an incredible job! This video was a very interesting & informative introduction with great comparisons. Since we own a 15' Escape, we know you made an excellent choice! We look forward to the upcoming modifications but mostly to some grand adventures! Great video my friend, complete with great humor (we thought for a moment we were going to meet Mrs. Potatohead!).
Light, bright, comfy, cozy and the kitchen area looks great💖
Absolutely one of your best vids Slim. The end was brilliant. Like someone said, "hot sauce, you don't own it you just rent it". In your case you're well positioned for that philosophy!
LOL
Bruce L. I think I heard that line on King of the Hill an old TV series. BTW I discovered your photography website...photography is one of my retirement interests - I’m going to spend some time on your site!
@@samstlm Great, thanks for checking out my site. Feedback is always appreciated, too. Yes, I've been following and enjoying Slim for quite some time, living vicariously through his camping adventures, trying to determine what type of RV I'm going to start with.
I wasn't expecting the ending... made me laugh.
Me too, took me a few minutes to realize what he was sitting on. lol
Right I forgot about the toilet 😂😂
sweet new trailer, i vote to name it the "sweet potato"!
Awwww Good one.
I'll cast my vote here to. Great name!
Sweet Potato rules!
Perfect ☺️
Obvious, cleaver, hilarious, wish I'd thought of that!
What a great little camper!!
OMG!! The ending was hysterical! LMAO
toilet paper rolls are in great demand right now, she would be appreciative!
Come to northern va. Plenty here
Probably rationed to one sheet.
Aussies are having fights in supermarkets over dunny paper, it's really bad at the moment.
@@HotCarTrack America too
Hot Car Track they weren’t Aussies mate.
Cheers, Slim! Happy travels!
12:00 thanks for the visual comparison/representation easier to visualize when you can see it!
Very happy to see you're enjoying your new abode, and I am excited to see you bring it on your adventures for many years to come.
That ending is hilarious. Congrats on your new trailer. Alan
I really like how open and clean your new trailer is. Lovely. The ending - probably more info than I needed. :)
Wow!!!! That is awesome! Congratulations, cant wait to see your adventures
Fantastic improvements!
LOL. Watching this quietly at work and ended up bursting into laughter.
Lucy Honeychurch me too! 😉
I installed my solar panels on the roof of my Jeep, so I can park my fiberglass trailer in the shade and the Jeep in the sun. I have driven off forgetting to unplug luckily nothing has been damaged.
I did that with my travel trailer once....completely forgot to unplug the power cord, luckily it just ripped the outlet out of the box, simple fix, but a great reminder to do a walk around, and then another one or have someone else do a walk around too before you drive away LOL.
Linda May I saw a guy with a b class that pulled a trailer covered with solar, the batteries and controls were inside the trailer. He plugged his rig into the trailer.
See if you can find magnetic contacts. I know they exist for audio cables and phone chargers for the specific purpose of easy disconnect in case your phone falls off the table or you walk away with your earbuds still plugged in.
HAHAHA!!!! You are toooo funny. I couldn't stop laughing at your ending. Made my day!
Thanks for the video slim! I love your new trailer. I look forward to new videos and new adventures from you.
The outback is a good choice. I have an archaeology friend who took his to Baja every year for nearly three decades. It worked well and needed little upgrading and repairs. When the weather turned nasty, we in tents were quite jealous. Looking good Slim!
OMG, takin' care of business...lol
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
You are such fun. Looking forward to warching as you live in and tinker with the new trailer.
I love your videos Slim! I bought an A-frame this month partly based on your past videos. Can't wait to get it out on the road. Thanks for all your videos. They are super informative and entertaining. Can't wait to see your mods to the new camper.
Welcome to the fiberglass world! You just brightened our day ! (Again!)
I’m so glad to see a video from you. I need this!
Awesome! Looking forward to seeing future videos of your new adventures in the new trailer great job
Looks great! Enjoy.
I thought for a moment, we were going to get to finally meet Mrs. Potatohead @16:00 lol
Jae Maa I missed that he said that, I just figured that ”Tator Tot” had to come from somewhere! Lol
I Love the new trail, now you have to name it !!! Great video's, God Bless.
I really admire your ability to see the possibilities in something. You have a real gift Slim.
LOOKS GREAT, HAVE FUN
Great ending !
I like the new rig.
I'm looking forward to seeing whats in store.
EPIC! Too you Slim, too you. Love it.
We are enjoying your honesty of campers and can’t wait to see how you modify your egg!
they did a SuperB job there! very impressed!
Very interesting.....and the end was funny...I hope you have a good time with your new trailer.
Oh I am so glad I waited till the end to comment! Usually I say something great about your videos before I even watch them all the way through. But this time I waited and was in tears at the end laughing and you just made my day! You are so funny, talented, lucky, and I could go on and on! Your videos are not only the best, but always getting better! I also love your new trailer! Thank you for all your hard work of making these great movies for our viewing. :)
I agree 100% with Jean West she nailed it. I have been seriously thinking about getting a fiberglass camping trailer, so I am glad that I found you again. A lot of great information.
Nicely done!!
Good morning. Another great video. But as you said, you had 4 years to do all your Mods to Abner. Let's get to camping. The mod videos can wait a bit.
Cheers from Colorado
Great video... I appreciate your unstated skills like using a measuring tape properly, the excellent volume analysis and emphasizing benchmarking before you insulate. I would suggest you do your temperature comparison on a windless night to avoid bias! Looking forward to the results but I am thinking the egg will outperform the triangle.
Super Cute!!! I love it!
Good comparison. Happy trips with your new trailer!
Good luck with the new rig and customizations! It’s a learn as you go process and it should work out excellent for you with your experience.
That's a really nice deluxe outhouse on wheels you got Slim. LOL.
WOW! What a great way you redid your new trailer.
An absolute salute to you and your new
Egg. I like the kitchen. I hope you can
Get on a good schedule with your videos because so many look forward to them. Welcome back Slim!
As always a great video and hilarious skit at the end lol
I think it might be called "in one end, and out the other."
Love the trailer changes, and what an ending🤪🤪😁😁. Looking forward to all your changes and adventures.
I love your new camper! Looking forward to seeing more of your travels!!
Proving time and time again that staying to the end of the video is always worth it.
It's 4 seasons as such as there are no water lines to freeze.
What would also be interesting would be a comparison of gas mileage.
This. Some also means there are air conditioner, and heater. In short, you can use it in any season. You might want to be connected (like at RV park) to seriously use the air conditioner (or at least as beefy generator). In short, it means the waterline is in the inside, warmed with the heater.
It might cost you a lot in diesel generator fuel or rv campground fee - but for some this is required (those that do winter sport for example). So yeah, 4 season rated is actually a thing.
How did you pour 2 perfectly even glasses of wine without really looking at it? Great video, keep 'em coming. I'll miss Abner, but welcome Eggder.
I said the same thing once I saw the level of wine in the second glass.
Love it! 😂
I appreciate the extra effort you put in to the visuals and explanations! 👍🏻
Good for you Slim, looks real nice .
Good video but it kind of went to sh%* at the end! Looking forward to the DYI's coming up. Bottoms up.
OMG! Love this as many have said🤪. The ending made me laugh out loud.
Thank you for all your wonderful work/videos! They are the best on UA-cam
Ending was fabulous!!
I must dispute the 4 SEASON trailer analogy. I have a Northwood Nash 4 season camper. This is much thicker insulation and walls than most campers. I had done fulltime in snow, heat etc. They live in these campers year round in Montana, Wyoming etc. The floor was vented and heated, a/c kept the heat out and a/c did not run constantly. Northwood Artic Fox/Nash with dual pane windows for the 4 season. Just saying....many of my friends live all year long in a Artic Fox in Montana.
What does the warranty list as the minimum temperature? SP
Another thing offered in 4 season rv's is all the plumbing is inside the heated space. I've had to drain my system and waste tanks several times to prevent damage while on trips when the temperature fell well below freezing. Either that or start driving toward warmer areas...
Ok. I called Northwood Manufacturing and they said these campers are rated to ZERO DEGREES. with 2" thick insulated walls. Also, many customers stay in negative degree weather through the winter. Friends live in Kalispel MT and close to Eureeka MT.
@@bhclark16 Those are top quality campers for sure and do come at a price ; $$$$$ and weigh enough to justify a dually for road safety.
@@marcpikas2859 yes I agree. They are built very well and stand up to the elements. We traded our brand new Jayco for this model after viewing. Very pricey, but worth the $$$$. We were full timing for 1 1/2 years traveling the USA. Thank you.
Omfg xD that last bit, this video got way funnier lol can't wait to see how business concludes
Nice find! Congrats
I ❤ how thorough you always are. Thank you for such great info...its much appreciated. TFS
Congrats on the new digs, Slim. Still not sure why you took out the sink instead of covering it with a cutting board. But, you made it like you want/need and the work done looks great! Happy trails.
Hey Slim! Before you get rid of the throne, now is the perfect time to do more rehydrated food reviews. 😉
Custom as it could be !!! Awesome.
I also enjoy travelling on my own. I meet people from all over the country & world. Love the camping culture. Really enjoy your videos.
"the elephant in the room" next scene: wine for 2?? is there a connection there?? lol. thanks again.
16:17 You charming devil you! Who could resist?
I'm so excited for you Slim ... Love the work you had done so far. It's like you're in your own little bubble! Love it!!!!!! Can't wait to see what's next.
Looks great Slim. Congratulations, and happy trails!
Are you going to mount solar panels on the roof? What kind of battery do you plan to use?
Slim, you are amazing! How about your wood stove? Where is that going to go? I think the new trailer will retain the heat much better that the A-frame. I can't wait to see what else you do to this trailer to make it "home".
It's actually the "wood stove" that brought me to his channel (" A Wood Stove for Camping: Part 1
" video)
and got me hocked to it!
It would sadden me if we're not going to see that wood stove again :(
The wood stove probably isn't a good idea. I've been watching Elsa Rae and she has a wood stove. You can see after a year of 2 people, a dog and a wood stove how the soot starts to appear on the walls. It doesn't matter how sealed up that wood stove is. It does put it a bit of soot.
@@corneliusaustin Yes, but wipe it down. Like you said, it's been a year of 2 people and a dog livin real close. I truly enjoy the feeling of wiping down my whole kitchen!
good video. Looking forward to more with the Outback
I love watching your adventures. I wish you very good luck with your new camper and looking forward seeing you working on the camper.
I’m still laughing! 😂
Lol!! Taking care of business! Left me laughing!😂
Love the new trailer! You and the factory did an excellent job rebuilding it. Looking forward to many more camping vids!!
Looks great Slim!
How about "Eggbert" for a new name?
love it!!!
I got that name too.
Yes, naming "it" will be a challenge. Chances are the "Outback" logo on the front will be covered by a solar panel so don't need to change what exists (although "Ootback" came to mind). Abner was a guy for sure, but is the new one male or female? Seems I am reducing the feminine qualities of the trailer. A little conversion therapy! "Eggner"? "Eggatha Christie? Eggsplicit, Eggsplorer, Eggshell Rose (reference to Axl Rose)?. Open to suggestions. Thanks! SP
Just personally always like to A frame for pulling better fuel mileage excetera to each his own
It will be interesting when he does the mileage test?
@@secondact7151 It seems to me you could feel the extra drag in the first 5 miles. No mileage test necessary.
The Egg looks very lightweight. Despite of the worse aerodynamics it could be even a fuel saver. Slim is not in a hurry.
@@kapegede yes, the rounded corners may be better than the flat squared off A-liner. I learned a lot about aerodynamics trying to carry a big cardboard box on my bicycle, it's not the weight, it's the wind resistance.
Our A-frame does not change mileage. Tundra gets 14 with or without trailer.
Thanks especially for the last scene, Slim. I wasn’t ready for it and almost sprayed out my Sierra Nevada Pale Ale - what a waste that would have been. Nevermind, it was a great laugh. Thank you, Sir.
Love it Slim! So happy for you....Great Adventures ahead for sure! Thanks for showin me the new rig, and letting me tag along..... God Bless!
When camping in cold weather in my Aliner I can always feel it's quite a bit warmer near the peak where it doesn't do much good.
Install a fan to circulate the air...heat always rises.
@@wildbill23c yup... hot air rises.
You always leave 'em wanting more... Or rolling on the floor gasping for air! It took me awhile to realize that you meant the toilet was the elephant in the room, not a significant other.
Yay! DIY videos of yours are my favorite on youtube. I can't wait to watch them. As always, thank you for the great videos and please stay safe!
The factory really did a great job on their modifications. Looks like it’s going to be a great camper for you !
Slim, it would be great if you could do towing test to check MPG drop for each trailer. BTW - great video, as always!
The ending is fantastic! Throne.... taking care of business...... thank you for the laugh! Well done!
Question... will you be considering installing the pellet stove you designed into the new trailer?
Glad to hear everything is going so well with the modifications.
Well done !
looking good Slim. I think you're going to enjoy your new camper
The table toilet 🚽 could come in handy while playing cards (ROYAL FLUSH) 😐
Who filmed the drone shot in the beginning??
You need to find a nickname for the Outback too, now.
I wholeheartedly support the change. I absolutely love the new rig. Glad I found this channel. Me and the wife are looking for a camper just like yours. Great video
Very nice remodel. Enjoy your new home on wheels!!
