Thank you for the great video! Both chambers are really great. I think I like the Capital Chamber better. It is more defined and I like that better for your song.
Hey Mark! I’m not familiar with this IK FAME studio room! I’m a huge fan of the music that was made there. I will have to check that out. Thanks for sharing!
Very interesting point you made about all the musicians in the same room playing together. Unfortunately im old enough to remember doing that.In my day we started with a tascam 4 track recorder and bounced the hell out of it.Made some great songs though.Great video Emily...
Thanks for the video Emily! I own both and since I got the capital chamber, I didn’t use the Abby Road chamber so thanks for bringing g the interest back. Also, if all the musicians are playing in the same room, I would assume that the pre delay on each instrument will required to be different because they were standing in different places in the studio. Having said that, when they used to put a chamber, like in Motown records, they just used it on everything, also sounds amazing… Just a thought…
My hunch is that the speakers used in the chambers of both Abbey Road and Capitol studios were probably Altecs, maybe one of their 600 series full range, or, possibly one of their “Voice Of The Theater” speaker series. Altec speakers were hugely popular and widely used in studios at the time, not only for reverb chambers, but also for control room monitors, as well as being in the performance areas/live rooms of studios, for musicians to hear the playback. I can’t say whether Altec was the popular choice because they were the best sounding speakers available back then (it’s possible) or, simply because there weren’t all that many high quality speaker manufacturers around to choose from…there weren’t nearly the number of speaker manufacturers around then as there are now. Anyhooo… FWIW
Capitol Chambers is the only UA plugin I miss since leaving the UA ecosystem...and confirmed here. Fwiw, I own the Abbey Road Chambers...and slightly prefer the Sunset Sound Reverb from IK Media.
Haha it's the only plugin I use for having bought into the UAD ecosystem. I actually went to buy a satelite quad just for this capitol chamber..goes to show how much I love that reverb 😂
Ocean Way and Capitol Chamber are great and sound fantastic they are supernatural, but the Holy Grail is the Seven Heaven from Liquid Soncs, have all the rooms, chambers, non linear and halls that you need
I have both and use both, but the Abbey Road is clearly the one in this application.
Great demonstration!
I like both for different reasons. Just like I use different compressors, delays and eqs for different reasons.
your videos are very inspiring, and the mix is already sounding great! would love to listen to the finished song when it comes out
Thanks, Renzo! The template really gets me 80% there, just by merging my audio tracks with it!

CapitOl.
I use Capitol Chambers (and Ocean Way) everywhere, just love the reverbs from UAD.
They really know what they are doing! Thanks, Eirik! ⚡️
Great video Emily. I like using the Abbey Road Chambers on vocals and the IK Muscle Shoals FAME as my instrument room sound.

I’m so glad I bought that template! Nice!!
So wonderful to hear that, James!! ⚡️
Another great video. I think Abby Roads sounds a bit better in this case.
Capital Chambers sounds grand and epic!

@@rick_amsterdam I completely understand...it's awesome. I finally found something I'm very happy with, LiquidSonics Seventh Heaven Pro.
I love the capital… I bought it basically because of watching your videos. Thank you
It is a must for me! Thanks so much for being here, Kyle!! ⚡️

amazing
If the Capitol Chambers ever go Native I will have them. In the mean time, Sunset and Abbey Road are more than capable
Yeah I got Sunset, Fame and Motown Hitsville. I agree!
Great comparison but you gotta tweak tweak
Im Uad all day long. Thx for your Videos
They are the best! Thanks, Angus!! ⚡️
I just got Waves Chambers for 30 bucks versus UA for 350. A no brainer
they both sound good, the Capitol may be a bit nicer on this singers voice.
Capitol chambers by miles
Atlantis chambers is superior to both.
