Very helpful video..thanks!....but I have a question......my Jetta does not have the turn signals. When ordering new caps do I need to specify with or without signals? Or are they all the same?
Did you just use a flathead screwdriver to push the tabs? And I am assuming that all you do after you have the cap off is pull those two black tabs up to release the glass then replace?

Did you manage to remove the cover without removing the glass? I just bought a new cover and dynamic winkers for my MK7 GTE.

Awkward angle to film, because of the release clip position...but with a little patience, this video saved lots of frustration!

What have you broke? I think that it's easy to not break it with this method, it's easier to break glass with removing glass first method
