Great video. Just wondering if you could you perhaps show how a neck block for a Lute or an Oud can be cut out using a bandsaw? and if you're feeling even more generous, how a base block is roughed out ?
OK, this is probably a really dumb question, but.... When you apply light side pressure are you pushing towards or away from the pencil line you are trying to cut to? For example, let's assume I am cutting such that the waste is on the left side of the blade and the pencil line and the "keep" piece is on the right. Do a push sideways to the left so that I am pushing the pencil line into the blade or to the right so that I am pushing the pencil line away from the blade? Thanks, Neal
I've set up the band saw like you've mentioned but my blade send to turn with my wood and doesn't follow the line. What an I doing wrong or forgot to set right.
Excellent. Short, concise, and educational.
Excellent tutorial, clear and concise.
New to the band saw and thanks for the tips about the blades..

great video. two thumbs up
I like bandsaw better than scroll saw, it goes through with ease.
For the first cut, what tpi blade did you use? Thanks.
Ok Ok
Yeah - most important info is missing: how do I avoid the twisting of the blade? I have to turn my piece of wood while sawing curves. Right?
