Of course I will pop and see you again, not sure when though. Your beds look great topped off with the pellets and compost and still veg to harvest later on. 🍁🍂Happy gardening, Terry King.
Oh I wish I could make enough for the beds. I buy this in from a source that has certified organic leaf mold compost ...right here in town to boot! I love that this gives me a jump on Spring.
TY Nick, what a transformation! Getting those bunny fences down and the compost on.....feels great. Looks like much of the UK got snow before me....which is crazy, but I'm OK with that.😀🥰
😂 of course it’s a calm day. Composted beds look amazing and so perdy which only a gardener would notice. You have definitely had a fabulous season Robin 👍. WOW steamy compost. Definitely been an odd year weather wise isn’t it. Great job Jackson 💪💪. Have a wonderful week Robin and Al, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦
Thanks so much 😊 Feels great. I'm like a kid about compost in the fall. It fires up like no other time. I can get the perfect ingredients in the right amounts. BAM it's hot and cooking away.
John, Thanks so much. I'm quite sad about it ending this year...even though we've had more warmth this fall than normal. I'm glad I have a few things to still harvest for awhile.
I look out the window from the house now, and see that "winter coat" and no bunny fence. It makes the end a bit easier to take, well at least prettier. 🥰🥰🥰
I can totally relate to being hesitant to clear plants that are still growing. The forecast is snow on Monday, I need to cut down my calendulas and cover the planters. Your garden looks ready and beautiful!
Oh the white stuff...I'm sooo not ready for that this year. It's funny how far I can see out my windows now that the trees are rather bare. I think I might need a winter vacation somewhere warm this year. Have a good week. Steve and I are supposed to be on Audrey's channel tomorrow. But I'm not sure if she has her computer back yet.
@@RobinGardens Aaw, already longing for the heat? Well, can't say I look forward to the winter either. The only day I like snow is on Christmas eve. I've got an Audrey-alarm set every Wednesday, will check if you're all there.☺
I tried to find the bird name, but couldn’t. It’s huge! Has the hooded eye like an eagle, but missing red coloring to be a red tailed hawk. Thought maybe a white-tailed hawk, but was not quite right either. Very nice! Bet there were no other song birds around 👀 Nice planter beds! Oh the weather outside is (about to be) frightful 🥶. Definitely don’t think the rest of cauliflower will make it-maybe Chinese cabbage. Need to check tomorrow. We finally got a replacement truck so hope I can get supplies to finish greenhouse floor.
Oh how lovely to have a helping hand! And what a satisfying job to get done. I don't think alfalfa pellets are a thing in the UK but I've seem them used on a few US channels. I have got alfalfa seeds to use as a cover crop though.
Jax has his own landscaping biz and I was like....just hire him and save the back. I have enough jobs on the list. We'll see how the pellets work out. I needed to amp the fertility a bit. Leaf mold is fine for organic matter, but it's not like a manure. I can't source an organic manure, and I'm afraid of the "Round-up" residue killing things. So the Alfalfa is one direction to try. I need the a rabbit keeper friend like you have.
I’ve used my oscillating hoe today to clear the beds of weeds. It’s my favourite tool. Fresh compost is so satisfying isn’t it 😊 looks beautiful and dark. We could do with some help from your helper!! Can you send him (Jax??) Look at the size of that hawk 😮!! Great mic 🎤 you sound so much clearer ❤ Love Allie & Tricia xx Tricia’s loves your jazz music ❤
That hoe is great. I think it's like 30+ years old! I have a smaller, short one, for most jobs during the season in the beds. Yes, Jax is a neighbor and has a landscape biz he hopes will be his full-time biz eventually. Oh I bet he'd love a UK trip to help out. Yes the hawk was sooooo incredible and he let me get pretty close. Appreciate your letting me know about the mic. I didn't want to invest in one until I was sure I would enjoy the UA-cam creator world. Honestly, I've had it for a few weeks, but just could not figure it out. So I just plugged it into the phone and bam...no fuss we were off and running. I guess I've been used to much more set up nonsense, so I was over thinking it. It really helps with the wind but I still had to do some voice overs due to everyone's leaf blowers at the moment.
@@RobinGardens It really is a good Mic, plug and play, which makes everything simple. More time to concentrate on the garden. Just always do a quick test to make sure its recording lol I've done filming and forgot to even switch it on lol xxx
❤😊🎉🦅

So nice of you
Robin ,your beds are just brilliant,I can see why the soil looks fab if you are using great compost that you make, 👍👍

Looking good Robin!
Google Lens says it is a Red-tailed Hawk too. Magnificent creature!
Fabulous experience for sure.🥰

Those beds look great. ❤
TY Emma, it feels so good to be ready for a turn in the weather. Plus doing this in the fall always gives a jump on Spring mania.
Isn’t it great that veg and flowers are still giving at this time of year? Your beds look fab with their Winter coats on. All the best. Mags.

Harvested celeriac and leeks but will probably be the last. Put a cold frame over a patch of leeks as a "Hail Mary" attempt to extend their season.😀

@RobinGardens haha. You have enough rabbits pooping about!! 🤣 Keep us posted on the alfafa. I'm very interested in how that works out 👍
@@dogontheplot LOL if only they pooped in a pile like a llama or alpaca does.
