Yellow flasher on the back looks sick 👍
nice lightbar, i would combine this song with some other vintage police lights from your collection would be awesome! 👌
As always nice lightbar keep-um coming DJ
That is so cool really good job
Thanks.
You still have that bar?
Nice but where's the flasher on the blue side?
No in the red side.
Brandon Hess It' s not required on the blue side in California . Only the red .
What wire do u hook up to make it have a random flash pattern
I think the grey that’s what it was on mine
Back when red was red, not amber. And amber was more yellow in color.
@Thecarkid 11 Not really. Most LED lights tend to have this effect where red and amber are almost identical to one another.
Color distortion isn't new in the world of emergency lighting. Some red strobe lights actually looked pink, I've seen it in person (It used to be a problem on the Whelen Edge). The problem is that brightness gets cranked up so high, the color becomes distorted. Thus, red looks like amber on some LED lights.
What flasher module did you use for the rear amber flasher? I was hoping to find one.

Looking for a install video. For my whelen edge 9000 I have a 2009 suburban. I need a idea with out drilling holes in my vehicle to run the rather large wire
Where do you find light bars for free
Light bars for free does not exist lol.You have to buy them $$$
Never know. Just keep an eye out. I've seen people get full lightbars and more out of dumpsters and such.
eBay used light bars new led equipped, Amazon, fleet and safety, Illinois fire police, Federal Signal, Whelen, strobes n more, uniform and accessories warehouse, Code 3, Speed Tech Lights.
Does anyone know why they had that odd light setup in California?
Back in the old days (late 1940's or early 1950's), CHP (California Highway Patrol) did extensive testing on different combinations of warning lights which were then available. (This was before rotating lights were common and way before strobes.) They found that a steady burning red spotlight on the driver's side of the vehicle was most effective at attracting the attention of motorists in their driver side view mirror. They found that motorists approaching from the rear moved the farthest to the left when passing a patrol car stopped on the shoulder with a flashing amber light on the left side of the rear parcel shelf. In those days CA had strict limits in their vehicle code about how many lights could be mounted on a car (e.g. fog or driving lights were illegal.) CHP adopted the steady burn front spot and flashing rear spot as their standard warning light package and some variation of that configuration has been used on CA emergency vehicles ever since. If you can catch reruns of the old American TV series "Highway Patrol" you'll see their early warning light setup.
Evan Stauffer Wow, looks like I can torrent that series (yeah, I know, but there really is no other way to watch the series where I live; they don't have reruns of it). I have seen the setup in 'Emergency' and 'Barnaby Jones', too.
@@evanstauffer4470 I literally never knew until your detailed comment. Thank you for explaining the logic behind that.
Evan Stauffer thanks for the extensive reply. I watch a lot of the California pursuits and always wondered why when the units finally get the vehicle stopped, the flashing overhead lights on the patrol vehicle become a steady lit. I never knew it was a requirement. So I’m assuming that once the patrol vehicle is put into park, the lights automatically switch to steady lit instead of alternating flashes.
I have a question about your whelen Edge 9000 and how to set one up.
Music ruins the video as usual
Thanks for your com Medic 135.If you don't like, don't Watch ;-)
