The origami die was really cool, the way it's folded. But I really liked how he almost closed the video with "DIE." and then quickly clarified, "Dice." x)
for the whiskey dice one, maybe the idea is to take a swig and when you put the cup back down, the dice will have been rolled from the drinking movement?
It's getting near the end of the show, better get ready to go "huh" *takes glasses off* *makes witty comment* *breathes slightly* GODDAMN IT TIM YOU HAD ONE JOB
I have no idea what's so compelling about dice, but, for some bizarre reason I was completely enthralled by this video and watched until the very end. Thank You good Sir for this video
It came to my mind ,,The Gambler" sang by Rogers ;) The most I liked was the first one. I like you because you are you. You are not the game, YOU ARE YOU. - this you could saw from 1960 to (BACK in the past)... you name it! Sometimes I am feeling this...
Shunarjuna I was thinking the same thing, but I guess he means the total rather than the values on the faces, as in you can make a seven with 5+2, 4+3 and 6+1 but there is only one way to make twelve and that's with two sixes, likewise only two ones make two in total
I enjoy your channel, do you have a video on board games that are very old. For example, we've all grown up and played Monopoly and Sorry in the US, but I want to hear about so every old board games like Shut The Box ( it's the only really old game I know). I've seen some beautiful antique compendium game box. Also I'm interested in board games that were popular in the UK but maybe in known in the USA
I have truly tried to remain positive about the the new intro, and outro music! I just keep finding that the old music had such a magical feel about it. Could you possible alternate? Some new, some old?
I'm suprised he didn't show any of the older dice which is mainly used for roleplaying games today. like (d4 being four sided and so forth) D4 D6(normal) D8 D10 D12 D20 D30 D100 D00 etc.
The only ones with a different number of sides worth noting are the ones with interesting shapes, like the d3 with the sort of triple-helix like shape Also, you don't have to _"head to the fourth dimension"_ for a d1.. ever hear of a _"ball"_?
There is a whole other realm of dice that isn't even mentioned in this video. Different shaped dice for different numbers. There is 4, 6, 8, 12, and 20 sided dice! 20 is my favorite
Great collection! Did you see "Constellation Dice" already? A new glow in the dark dice with 5 real constellations, and the North Star as the number one! I think only100 will be made, it's on Indiegogo right now and almost funded.
Almost like a big kid...wonder if there's profit in his line of work. Thanks Tim. I prob like your puzzle boxes best. why am I speaking with an English accent every time I watch? (not half as bad as The Irish accent after Boondock Saints)
5:30 There's a company that makes all kinds of dice, but I'm not going to mention their name, or show the name on the catalog, or put in a link to their website, so you can all fuck off if you want to buy any. Is it Koplow? Chessex? Game Science? Who knows, just go to your local gaming/comic store.
Little did they know that Tim used to be the baddest, most raddest dungeon master back in the day.
ok squid
@@sosotik fuck off skeleton hoodie
You know its bad when he follds a new set of die
he only had d6s so i doubt it

At the start I wondered what he was on about when he said, "A pair of 'DIE'"??? One DIE; Two DICE... :-))
@@mikerogers6136 As a kid, I used dice as singular and dices as plural!
Tim is the embodiment of appreciating the small things. It’s quite a nice and rare quality.
This is why it's always good to keep a tin of soup to hand, you never know when you may need to test the strength of something.
or a banana for scale.
DarthBlam 1) invent tins of banana soup,
2) ???
3) Profit!
*****
who measures with a banana? ( It was 2.5 Chickettas long?)
...and it was Baxters. That's a fine soup. I would have be mortified if Tim used a cheap can of tesco's soup
Fazakerly x
Thank you for making your videos. I watch them when I am upset to calm me down. they make me feel like there is good and fun in the world.
Same, his voice is so calming also, I play one of his videos every night to help me fall asleep
I like that he had a napkin in his pocket ready for when he got to the dice that inflates when you put it in water
for the whiskey dice one, maybe the idea is to take a swig and when you put the cup back down, the dice will have been rolled from the drinking movement?
at 8:31 the demon inside him tried to crawl out
What demon? Tim is pure.
@@bulkbogan2242 It's called a joke, damn
"Wet and horrible and slightly clammy"
Lol.
Haleakala Boon yeah...
perfect description for WATER OF THE NILE
As an RP gamer, novelty dice always interest me. Love these videos.
It's weird hearing Tim call something "too quirky," seeing that he vibes with even the most unpractical knick knacks.
What about that plastic opened-up die on the table?
that was the one i was waiting for :(
Tim always amazes me with his collections!
Too many death threats in this video.
Greetings Space Ghost!
i want to see dnd dice collection
love the intro, it honestly feels like when i was a kid and when you see an intro like this, its going to be awesome
Did Tim say the word "dice" at any point during this? Oh of course, right at the end.
He's the only person I've ever heard say "die" as the plural of "die."
I literally got an ad for dice before watching this
It's getting near the end of the show, better get ready to go "huh"

I love his voice
5:26 he says it's the smallest die. Clearly he's never seen the dice that came with Pirates of the Spanish Main.
What?
The new intro is amazing!
I love how a little bit left of a double whisky is different to a little bit left of a single whisky.
3:15 my mind was blown up!
I've got a set of 100 dice that are probably the size of a tiny pebble you find on the beach. Almost hard to pick up! Very cool.
I could watch these all day
6:15 Accurate description of my brain during maths class.
Yes same
His videos are so calming.
the only man that can literally make anything fascinating
why do I love these videos so much
I'm still addicted to the intro
Great videos Tim, any chance of a link to the origami dice folding instructions please

A new scale of strength? The can of soup scale...for measureing the tensile strength of paper models! Love the videos.:)
i love how he says "tongue in the cheek"!! lol its so great love you buddy tim from america!
Help I'm running out of Grand Illusions videos to watch.
I just realized that you do all of your videos in the one take, I fucking love you!!
i really need that roulette glass at 3:50 scoured the web looking, anyone know where to get a hold of one?
What were the values of the last 2 dice? I could probably figure it out but...
Does anyone know where I can buy those dice with the same probability for all combination sums? I can't seem to find them anywhere...
The "huh" at the end was weak
He's getting older and his lisp is growing. Man, I want the old Tim back.
Maybe it was a burp
...h
Nice charming video!
You missed one :( the one I was eyeing the whole time
I was wondering why he had a soup can on the table...
5:40 D&D on the beach
Why are these videos so hypnotizing
@2:00 - Is that right? Aren't double 1 or double 6 just as likely as any other combination of numbers?
Shunarjuna I was thinking the same thing, but I guess he means the total rather than the values on the faces, as in you can make a seven with 5+2, 4+3 and 6+1 but there is only one way to make twelve and that's with two sixes, likewise only two ones make two in total

Because this is the sort of thing to watch at 11:54 pm.

your old intro is much better than the new one you've got
I really like the newest, slightly modified, intro.
"That's a nice idea"™
Tim is my intellectual hero
This guy looks like an NPC shop keeper done well
The new intro has been amazing.
Does anyone know what the wooden block that you have to balance call?
Tim if we wanted to send you some odd dice for your collection where would we do that?
Awesome. Thanks for this video
The only man that can make dice genuinely interesting
where do u store all the toys tim ?
No... help!! I'm trying to go to sleep!! No Tim - stop showing me wonderful toys!!

+Ockert Smuts Don't forget the d3.

Flatchlenter I didn't think it through, I was thinking of some sort of coin with only 1 side, my mistake :P
I want to see Tim's bong collection.
Aren't all the doubles equally likely?
I LOVE dice they look satisfying they feel satisfying they sound satisfying
love your videos
I saw you in TV a couple days ago. :D
I love how he brought a can of soup just so he could put it on top of the paper dice. haha
I have this spherical die which you roll. It always lands exactly on one of the numbers
"A bit too quirky", I don't believe he's ever said that before.
that is a very elegant origami fold
This man is so classy he has a napkin ready at all times

Grand Illusions it only has a few hours left, but check out the AKO Dice project on Kickstarter for some unique and interesting dice.
Legend has it he's still getting water from the nile
I actually had a round die when i was a kid but i can't seem to have it in all of my stuff anymore ;/
I love dice this video made my day
Tim needs to come to Las Vegas and be the pit boss at The Grand Illusions Hotel & Casino!!!!
The water die looks to be like it wasn't in enough water. Could be wrong though, as I don't actually know what was done with it.
My grandfather had a cup like that, except you could play a game of golf at the bottom.
Dice!, I love em.
+Leaping Stalian Good times
the origami dice seem durable, even thou is made of paper. Nice :)
i'm getting urges to play monopoly
Double sixes, 1 is here 4 is there it has 5 and and 2.. what a lovely idea.
When I discovered Dungeons and Dragons I also discovered that dice come with more than 6 sides.
