@@danataylor-fifield7719 and that firehouse guy that just died too like jack russel that guy was on the top of his game too. Saw air supply last year he cant still sing too.
I knew JR. Met him in 1987 and partied hard on his boat many times before he got sober. Last time I saw Jack was in 2017 at Safeway in Redondo Beach walking with his cane towards me with a big smile. We hugged, talked for a bit and then bid each other farewell. RIP My friend. See you on the other side.
Still one of the best voices ever in rock! Hope Jack can stay clean and healthy, because this younger generation needs true talent on display like this! I had the chance to meet Great White years ago, and they were all such cool and nice guys! Jack was so humble, it was inspiring.
Finally got to see Jack perform live at "The Shed" in Maryville TN. a couple yrs back. Show was over and I decided to sneak backstage to try to meet him. Got lucky and picked the right door. I was warmly invited in by just saying I wanted to talk to Jack. He was standing at a deserted bar sweating from the show, but greeted me with such respect! We talked for a good 15 minutes, and he even gave me advice on dealing with my sons addiction! He is the salt of the earth! In my excitement, forgot to get a pic!
I was there and he was awesome he sounds better at 60 than Vince Neil ever will also seen jackyl four years ago and met Jesse he was drunk and just played his guitar and sung for 15 minutes while the band took a break I got to meet him really cool guy without the big head I was looking for a bus and they came in a Ford dual cab pulling a trailer lol
He deserved so much more than what he got. I felt so badly after the club tragedy- I know he carried that and it really affected him. What a beautiful voice he had. I actually met a few members of the OG band after a show in 89 and they were dolls.
So true. Lots of aging rockers lose their pipes to some extent but Jack sounds 20 years younger here. Consider his past health issues it;s down right amazing. I also agree GW without him isn't GW.
eyes the color of fire... eyes close to feel the fine solo of the sweet guitar... the voice remains sweeter and purer over time like wine... hard rock the most sublime expression of God's love on guitars and man in love...thank you jack someone from Brazil is here to celebrate your life and now I celebrate your departure because I know you have become the love you sang about... and love never dies it is always born at every sunset in every heart that still beats!!!
One of the most under rated bands of the 80s. His voice sounds good. Many of those 80s band lead singers have pretty much lost their voice to aging and failure to take care of their vocals. The band still sounds fantastic.
I've always thought they were one of of the Best bands to come out of the eighties in I have the blisters on my feet from dancing to their songs those were the best of times thanks for the memories Jack🎉
I also agree it's the chemistry of Great White with Jack that they have. Mitch doesn't have that same chemistry.but I'll give him credit though. I wish the could find a way to do a reunion and possibly find their way back to playing and making more music!! Jack sounds amazing here he's still got it have to say such a talent.
Jacks the Man! Still kicking ass and sounding as great as ever! It amazes me how great his Vocals still are after all he's been through. Thank God Jack is still with us and keeping blues rock alive !! Come see us soon in Kentucky Captain Jack 🤘
We r grateful to have Jack ! Great vocalist and gives 150% performance value.. "BABE IM GONNA LEAVE YOU " remember that little beauty ? Voice is still golden and kicks ass as always !
There is NO OTHER THAN JACK RUSSELL WHO CAN BE THE VOICE OF GREAT WHITE....TO THIS DAY HE IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE GREAT WHITE...HE SOUNDS AS PHENOMENAL NOW AS HE DID IN THE 80'S...HE HASN'T LOST THAT LEGENDARY SOUND THAT HAS MADE GREAT WHITE ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNIZED, SUCCESSFUL & ICONIC ROCK BANDS OF ALL TIME!! WE LOVED THEM THEN....WE LOVE JACK & GREAT WHITE NOW...WE WILL LOVE THEM FOREVER! 🤟😎 🦈 ✊😎 🦈👊😎❤
I still can't believe you are gone. There will never be another voice like yours. I will never forget meeting you in Denver. It will always be one of the best times of my life. You will be missed. Thank you for my forever memory and thank you for a lifetime of the best music. #flylonelyangel #maybeoneday #gonewiththewind #jackrussell #greatwhite #genx #forevermissed 😢😢😢😢
I love this version with Tony Montana playing all the lead guitar. He was Great White's bassist on all their great albums from the 80s and 90s. Now he is playing awesome guitar for one of the best singers still in rock history. Go Jack!! Love ya-
Such an excellent song. It will always be one of my favorites along with Jack's voice. I'm sure Jack is singing in the heavens and making lots of people happy just as he did here.
J.P.M. Mulefan -Tony does a great job here but the Mark Kendall’s & David Gilmore’s of the guitar world are feelers and are often imitated but never replaced!
Always found that to be one of the tastiest leads in the 80s hard rock genre. I recorded GW’s performance of this song on the 1990 GMA’s and watched it over and over. The audience applauded during Kendall’s second solo. Such different times in popular music.
I had the good fortune to see Great White live back in '91. Honestly, it was one of the better concerts I've seen. I'm a fan still. I think I have every album they have done. If you want a real surprise... Listen to Great Zeppelin. Jack nails it!
Jack thanks for all your great badass songs, thru the years i came to one of your concerts at the toy tiger in Louisville ky in the late 90s keep it real man,you rock!😄
I use to dance for a living let me tell youni danced to all you songs this one use ti tear it up on stage made alottt a money such passion in the lyrics always enjoyed great White!! Thanks Jack
Man how could there be another Great White? this just don't seem right don't get me wrong the guys in both bands are very talented and amazing but could we not put our differences aside forgive and love one another and have a reunion? It kills me inside! You can't have Great White without that voice and you can't have Great White without the other Rhythm Section. Sorry but that's just how I feel I've Loved These Guys from the start and it truly breaks my heart. #HEARTBROKEN
I went to see Great White with Tesla and Kix back in 1989 and it was one hell of a show. This brought me back to that show. Jack still kicks ass and hope he does for many more great shows. Cheers!!
I love to see people open their journeys ..to be open minded cause ther is alot of meaning from personal experiences in country music..great job reacting!!
Been listening to this man's voice since 1982. There is no other for these songs, there is no SUBSTITUTE. A band can find a guitarist, they can find a drummer, basist, back vocals and the whole gambit EXCEPT the vocals. When a band has a unique voice in front, changing it usually means disaster. Glad to see Jack is better and still up here doing what I have always known him to do.
Those vocals ain't ever gonna be forgotten🕯🎸👍
RIPJackRussel
Russell has 2 L's. :)
RIP, Jack , thank you so much for the music , youre always be in our hearts
It’s almost unfair for a guy to have that kind of a voice still at 60 years old. This IS the voice of Great Whute.
I agree and good for him!! It's in his genes LOL
Sebastian Bach is another one who's voice hasn't gone to complete shit.
I have to agree 💯
He is the absolute best! Love our Jack Russell. Great White isn't GW without him! 🤘

He sounds almost exactly like the original guy!
Sounds great. This was always what I considered a “night time song”. Has such an awesome vibe, and Jack still nails it.
It’s on one of my sleep playlists. If you mean something else, it fits that as well, except for the lyrics.

Jack Russell is Great White, as he was the only one who couldn't be replaced. This is coming from someone who is more into music than vocals.

Mucho props to Tony! Sounds great...but nobody plays bluesy rock like Mark. He’s a “feeler” right up there with Gilmore as far as I’m concerned.

I saw them at the Stone Pony the night before Rhode Island. Got the play list too. No shit. Wish they'd come back. Haven't played Jersey since
I think they are afraid to play the northeast since the fire.
What is he now, 60? And still has it vocally. Cleaned himself up. Kudos to you Jack. Keep going. He's the voice of GW.
That was Awesome.
Thanks for this guys. Throwback. I've seen you live somewhere along the line. Good job. Keep on Rocking !!!
