The original by Loreen is a great song, and great in the context of "done, wont get any better as it is already hitting perfection", it really is a very good EuroDance song sang by a very good singer. But then you give this song to Floor, she makes it rock, makes it her own and... somehow makes it an even better song than it already was, how the frick does she keep doing that each and every time lol. Loreen and Floor have a similar high range, so this was right up Floor's ally, as this is "easy" for her, ofc it isnt easy, not one bit but it is well within her range (and she still blows our minds) It's a shame you cannot watch Eurovision, i am absolutely sure you'd love the contest with all its good and weird songs, the well performed and badly performed acts and the over the top and the understated songs, it's always an eclectic mix of music and songs, i love it, a true guilty pleasure for me. We (Netherlands) won the contest last time, first time in 40+ years of competing and winning it is a huge (expensive) honor. (expensive because the winning nation gets to host the next contest) An achievement Johnny Logan managed to pull of 3 times (and one 2nd place) but i feel we Dutchies have our very own "Floor Logan", she could win the contest... multiple times. And i even dare say that she wouldnt even (really) need her millions of fans across Europe, many more people than her fan base in Europe, will never have heard of her, but we all know what she and her voice do to "first time listeners", she captivates you, captures you, conquers you... after all, she IS the Valkyrie hehehe, i bet she would win. (just get her a good set of lyrics and have her work with this band to create a badass rock song, and rock Europe to its core with it!) Thnx for the react Valerie, i knew you'd react to this performance as quickly as possible ;)
Guten Tag! ♫ That was a wonderful reaction. Your fangirling was so wholesome too, haha, congrats on having the same dress! ;) Also thank you for explaning why Eurovision is so unpopular in America. Just earlier I was talking with Mum on the phone wondering why so many reactors don't know the original, for it is VERY popular here. But with the contests being region locked, of which we had no idea at all (it's so weird too??), that explains a lot. Also, it'd be great to see you react to the original as well, just because it's SO different. Floor, like always, took an already very cool song to a whole new level. The rock rendition and her super emotional vocals always get me to tears in this, no matter how often I listen. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland! ♥ (Good luck with learning so many languages!! 9 at once seems quite brave to me. The moment I saw that floor had done another song for beste zangers I looked up the episode on the npo3 app but sadly the one they uploaded there didn't have floor in it. I really wanted to see more of the reactions of the other singers
Nice detail: when she sings " higher, higher and higher" her tone goes lower... I can't express myself in technical details, but just listen...you'll know what I mean... thanks for your reaction!
The most stupid thing is she could sing this in 10 different other styles, from opera to growling. She's in a league of her own.. she is so good and great it,s epic thanks
Well now you have too rock that dress while doing a reaction , im sure you look killer in it . Love that " toothpaste" analogy Great reaction as always Valerie .
Floor really can do it all. You've already seen the duet "Sancta Terra" with Simone Simons of Epica, but somehow you seem to have missed Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater Dolorosa" from the same concert. It's great to see those two remarkable singers go full blown classical, silencing a room filled with metalheads.
My personal favourite Eurovision winner EVER.....and tied for best song with a non qualifier. Lyrically it is not a master piece but compared to the '75 Dutch winner "Ding-A-Dong" this is almost Shakespeare. In the end it is all about personal taste and discovering new music and artists you enjoy and this song is / was right up my alley. It starts of mystical and vulnerable and than gradually builds and builds into an almost bombastic explosion of sound. If anyone knows similar songs I would love to hear of them!? The song lends itself perfectly to be performed in different styles and even different types of voices and applying different voice techniques. Loreen (the original performing artist) has made several versions herself. The Eurovision version was clearly a more "poppy" Eurodance version to appeal to a larger audience. I think for (great) vocalists it is a fun song "to play" with as it offers so many possibilities and at least in Northern Europe it is almost always a crowd pleaser. If you want to see a different (lighter) take on it and explore a litter deeper in the rich Eurovision history (without getting blocked), which will have it's 65th (!!) version next week, Og3ne included a fun segment of it in their Eurovision Medley. ua-cam.com/video/0ctHW1pTCQI/v-deo.html If AVRO/TROS (broadcaster) ever decide to ask Floor to represent The Netherlands at Eurovision I hope it will be with a song like this. Floor has indicated she is open to it although I don't think they will send her anytime in the near future as there is a serious risk of again winning it with her and after organising it for the last 2 years that could be a very costly victory.
Yeh, so cool. Floor is STUNNING. She's one of my 2 favorite Dutch singers. My other OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING favorite is Amira Willighagen. I know there are more good singers in the Netherlands, but these two for me are the cherries on the cake.

Hey Valerie, great reaction as always! If you want to listen to the original, sung by the Swedish singer of Moroccan-Berber descent called: Loreen. In 2012 she won the Eurovision Songcontest with this track called; " Euphoria". It was not only well received in the pop world, but even more so in the European Dance scene. The song went to the Number one position in 19 European countries, and was a huge top 10 hit, all over Europe. Here's the Eurovision Songcontest version by Loreen. ua-cam.com/video/Pfo-8z86x80/v-deo.html My personal verdict is; that the original is great, but Floor's version (As she always does), is even more powerful. But hey! that's just me, as Floor always seems to to hit my sweet spot, with her voice. Groetjes uit Nederland! :) (Greetings from The Netherlands)
The winner that year 2012 was the winner with the most 12 points that every country can give. The original by Loreen from Sweden was a realy good performance. In 2012 did Anouk Birds for our country I think she was 9 th, but I can recommend you to do a reaction on this song too ua-cam.com/video/n5iazXvMw5o/v-deo.html
Hi Valerie. She is the cure for whatever ailment one has, isn't she? She could be singing the contents of her garbage bags and I still would get moved. Euphoria indeed!
Hi Valerie first off all i like your reactions . But it is sad that European programs are blocked in the US that is why for many Americans the world stops at the beaches of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
Dear Valerie , perhaps it has been sugested many, many times before, but why don't you use a real mic? I asume you have some in your studio / classroom . I'm typing this because I can't hear you that well. And that's what a reaction is all about, you explaining. No need to say I love your reaction !
could you react to agust d the last, hes one of the members from bts (suga) the song is a very sad song about his past and what he went through its amazing! love ur videos!!
Hejsan, Splendor. Det skulle vara mycket intressant att höra dig prata svenska. (My Swedish isn't actually very good at all - I live in Finland where Swedish is a minority language so we learn it at school and then forget it. I'd hazard a guess that Finnish isn't one of your nine languages.)
Rule #1 for a singer: don't let Floor Jansen cover your songs. Don't! Never! No! Great reaction. I must confess, I hate the eurovision song contest. In my eyes, this is a political farce. And I did not know the original knowingly (maybe I have already heard but forgotten. Because mainstream stuff) BUT: as soon as the name Floor Jansen and cover appears, all alarm bells ring with me! Good work. Keep it up.
You have to know there are two other amazing covers, one of O3GENE ua-cam.com/video/wLDI7D9yMOk/v-deo.html and one of Glennis Grace ua-cam.com/video/JvCz9wKESs4/v-deo.html enjoy
Floor is so good at whatever she does. maybe you'd like another dutch singer, Anneke van Giersbergen (from the Gathering), ua-cam.com/video/fCfoKtDs0XE/v-deo.html a song about everyday life
I really don't understand this adversarial stance against reactors that the entertainment industry and You Tube have. Common sense would dictate a mutually beneficial approach in which the reactor share in the revenue that any particular video generates. In essence a reactor uses someone else's work to get views on their own channel, that's true enough. But a good reactor doesn't alter that work in any adverse way. Instead he (or she) enhances the original piece of work by adding different kinds of value to them. One added value is that people that would not seek out a particular artists work by them selves because of one reason or another, suddenly may be interested in that artist, purely because they have been exposed to him (or her) by watching a reactor that they like and respect. That kind of exposure must be very valuable for the artist and the record label, and they didn't have to spend any money to get it. Kind of like a company that makes aftermarket parts for cars. Some car models in their original form does not garner much interest among a certain demographic. But they can suddenly get noticed and coveted by that very demographic when they are modified with after market components, made by companies not affiliated with the original maker. That then creates a mutually beneficial situation wherein the car manufacturer adds a new client base and sell more cars, not thru their own efforts, but by the efforts of an outside company. The after market parts producer in turn gets access to all the different markets where that car manufacturer sells their products. And finally, the buyers of these enhanced products all around the world now get to drive the type of cars they find matches their driving style and taste, everyone wins. I have myself found several new artists that I would have never sought out on my own simply by watching different reaction channels, most recently the artist NF. I never used to listen to rap, the genre seemed to be filled with a bunch of braggarts and misogynists with BIG attitudes and stupid lyrics as far as I was concerned. But one day a few months ago I was exposed to NF thru a reactor that I like. And in this artist I found quality's and a attitude that I found very appealing (and the music is banging too, as the younger generation puts it...). So now I'm subscribed to a RAP channel. (I can hardly believe it myself) The ONLY reason I have subscribed to NF:s official channel is because of that reactor. So shouldn't he also be able to profit a little in this situation? Why is that not the standard on You Tube? I don't understand. Other added values that reaction channels can provide an artist is increased appreciation for their singing ability thru the analysis by voice coaches or other artists. Reaction channels further more help keep the fans of various artists exited about them between record drops because they like watching different people react to their favorite artist. Finally I want to mention the comment section on these reaction channels which provide a space for the fans (new and old) to mingle and discuss and share information about the artist. This also helps the artist to get new fans and to keep the old ones by no effort of their own or by their record label. 👍 (I first posted this comment on the Wolf Rock channel, since he is fighting You Tube about this very topic right now...)
Nice reaction, but I would like to see your reaction to this...Aretha Franklin Climbing Higher Mountains cir a 1972. ua-cam.com/video/Efh3a_v2OVI/v-deo.html I'm sure it would send shivers down your spine. And a bonus...Mick Jaeger is giving you a reaction. Look for it.

My personal verdict is; that the original is great, but Floor's version (As she always does), is even more powerful. But hey! that's just me, as Floor always seems to to hit my sweet spot, with her voice. Groetjes uit Nederland! :) (Greetings from The Netherlands)
React to the original from Loreen at the Grand final of Eurovision please!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❣
Loreen sing the original..
🇸🇪
I am using a Yeti mic, you just can't see it in the camera. Maybe I should turn up the volume on my mic.
Working on your German? Time to try a bit of Rammstein, though some of what they sing about wont be in any school text books!
Wrong song's title. It's Euflooria. 😊🤘🏻
Try Arijit Singh's 'GIMA Awards 2017 performance' or Shreya Ghoshal's singing. you'll love it..!🙏
could you react to agust d the last, hes one of the members from bts (suga) the song is a very sad song about his past and what he went through its amazing! love ur videos!!
Please hear Gabriel Henrique sing Love By Grace (cover Lara Fabian). He is amazing.
I think Finnish sounds so melodic to listen to. Always wanted to learn, but heard it is a hard language to master.
pls react to the song Del Ey Del by the iranian singer Leila Forouhar
Can you play tabitha beste zangers van Nederland 2020 my land is jou land thank you.
Can you react to the song: “What more can I give by Michael Jackson and friends” ?
And this is the original singer ua-cam.com/video/Pfo-8z86x80/v-deo.html
Floor is so good at whatever she does.
maybe you'd like another dutch singer, Anneke van Giersbergen (from the Gathering), ua-cam.com/video/fCfoKtDs0XE/v-deo.html a song about everyday life
To all male singers.. >> 💃 😜
(I first posted this comment on the Wolf Rock channel, since he is fighting You Tube about this very topic right now...)
She is ear candy
Nice reaction, but I would like to see your reaction to this...Aretha Franklin Climbing Higher Mountains cir a 1972. ua-cam.com/video/Efh3a_v2OVI/v-deo.html
