Bernie Janssen - Yes they are an great way to cut parts. The small cover plates on these knives I have water jet cut for the profile and slot and I finish the holes in them. The accuracy on those plates is amazing. Thanks for the comment.
It's a shame you don't have a plasma or a water jet cutter and cut the profiles out and then finish cut the rest on the tarmac. This reply comes after watching the video with the problem you had on the tarmac on a previous post.
Bernie Janssen - Thanks for the comment. A water jet would definitely be a great way to cut the profile after I machined the holes, counterbores and slots. Right now sending them back out for that step would not be cost effective. If I ever get to large quantities I may look into that. I did have some issues getting a good machining process. But running pretty smooth now.

The plasma could get the parts within 3 to 5 thousands.
