*QUICK CORRECTION/NOTE:* When using some Phaser modes (it's not all of them), you have to set the offset back a little bit. (I found around 120 to be good enough) If you aren't sure, enable the metronome and set the offset to where it sounds good. No idea why this happens, but yeah. *Also:* You can use Reason Rack effects alongside this, that's totally okay! I don't make the rules, *you're* the producer. Also also checkout ColorTint's music, I used their song "For a Minute" throughout the entire video, they're really small and I love their music to bits ❤
It is amazing how after over a decade, no other synths do what Harmor does. I don't know why additive synths like Harmor, Razor, etc., aren't more popular. I prefer them to wavetable synths IMO.
Honestly I think it comes down to how inviting the UI is. My first time opening Serum I pretty much understood what was going on and how it worked immediately. Yes it took years to master but the synth is very easy for even a beginner to grasp. My first time opening Harmor, forget it lol i was LOST
Ryxtell was an underground riddim artist and used this method for years! It was so awesome watching him make riddim in harmor. Absolutely beautiful plugin.
jesus, this is so well made, i cant beleive this hasn't blown up also i love how you explain each step and encourage people to experiment, so many tutorials get that wrong
This is a really good quality video! From the editing and structure to the sound design and knowledge you share. Definitely learned some new things about Harmor!
MPhaser set to 100% wet is free and (as far as I know) actually identical to disperser :) just play around with phaser mode for more pronounced dispersion effects
Don't use reverb natively, use something more controlled like a convolution and you can get even cooler sounds!! Fun tip i wanted to share, you also can get better mixing with a more controlled verb. :D
Oi I know u might be using sarcasm when u say Harmor in ableton is sacrilegious, but if u aren’t do u mind explaining why ? My buddy gos on and on about how he wants to get fl just so he can run it as a plug-in through ableton to use harmor. Just very curious :)
Oh I was saying this just because it's an ImageLine plugin, and Ableton is FL's direct competitor haha It's not like bad or anything! I was just messing around
Sure! You set the "speed" knob to the values you want (or the ones I recommended). You can check the value by looking at the box in the top left that says "Phaser offset motion speed: -1:00". (or another value, -1:00 is a 1/16th note!) Then, right click the knob and click "Create automation clip". I prefer to work with automation clips, although you could do it other ways, because you can chop up the automations very easily and I find it to be a very flexible workflow. I hope that answered whatever you needed help with! If you have a specific question, I'll try to help! 💜

I would KILL for more synths like Harmor. I need someone to make Harmor's Phaser as an audio effect I would pay SO much money

Vital can do, it's like combination of Harmor and Serum.
Love to use Harmor and razor too

Just checked them out, never heard of them but their stuff is really cool!
I never fully understood harmor but THIS.
You are criminally underrated its actually crazy
i absolutely love this style of learning, seriously. this is amazing, please keep doing more tutorials like this!

The editing on this video is gorgeous
Always struggled to wrap my head around harmor, this is very helpful !
This is a really good quality video! From the editing and structure to the sound design and knowledge you share. Definitely learned some new things about Harmor!

Thanks I try
hi ireyte
this is kinda unrelated.. but the vibe of this video is not at all what I was expecting from a riddim tutorial haha, but I love it!
5:12 on FL there's also a patcher preset called disperser!
nice video btw! never thought of using harmor to make square*4 bass
Me neither! I kinda stumbled upon it by accident, but then realized how powerful it was with Harmor's unique features
This is a very good video
and It’s very good you’re heavily encouraging people to try this for themselves and not copying lol.
That's the main issue I see with tutorials nowadays and it drives me crazy. You don't learn by copying!
@@FloureDistrict very true
thx floure, just made a track im rly proud of
Brooo that phaser speed chart is so fuckin usefulll thankss a ton
FL also has a stock disperser within patcher. I think it’s a little further in the list but it’s a decent disperser!!!
Also final product was sick! I never thought of using a phaser a volume automation!
MPhaser set to 100% wet is free and (as far as I know) actually identical to disperser :) just play around with phaser mode for more pronounced dispersion effects
square floure
truuust thanks!!!
"Diopser" is a free Disperser alternative, with even more settings!
goated
This drop made me boogie

@@FloureDistrict ohhhh ok, I figured it was some sorta joke lol, thanks for the awesome vidja ! Super well done 🫶
I don't understand the part with the automations. Can anybody help?

thank you for the video! I was wondering, what’s that analyzer plugin at the top of the screen at the end of the vid?
MiniMeters! It's $10 on itch.io, but there's also a free demo
@@FloureDistrict thank you, I’ll check it out!

Main takeaway for me is that the author wants us to rip his harmor patch exactly as is
