We always join in with your ‘Let’s get scooting’ we love that! Another superb scoot and you were right as you got closer to the lake the weather did improve and the skyscrapers came out of hiding! The cathedral is a very modern building! Oo the largest modern art centre in the world and wow a lake park! Gorgeous blue skies and fluffy clouds! Have a lovely weekend 👍❤️

I have been to Chicago in the winter, so you are brave to scoot along the avenues downtown. With the right Gear on it's no problem. This was awesome tour of Chicago Ave under the gloomy skies.

We enjoyed the "Scoot Lady." Especially the downtown area. Do you recall Mundelein College? It merged with Loyola in the early nineties, but was where Kathy went to to start her college days in the late 60's. I also wasn't aware that Bally's was going to locate a casino there. Fun, but chilly scoot. Thanks so much for bringing us along.
i do remember mundelein college, not much about it, but ring a bell. the bally's deal has been back and forth a bit, and they've got their temp spot, but they did a buy-sell-leaseback thing for the 30 acres of land. thanks as always for scooting with me and your thoughtful comments! 🛴❤️

thank you chris! i'll be interested to see what they do for the bridge replacement. i haven't looked closely at the sketches of the bally's i've come across to see if the bridge is detailed there. it'll still have to open up i believe, so i'm guessing it'll be pretty cool still. the casino? eh. while i love some poker, i don't make it out to them very often. best to you and amanda! 🛴❤️

Sorry it was so cold! Such fun to watch the skies and to finally see real blue. The “music” was much more keeping a beat than music you have chosen in the past. Really good explanations of the buildings and neighborhoods we were passing. It is probably my imagination, but you seemed to me to be going faster than usual. The Bally construction will seriously disrupt traffic, won’t it ?
thank you jeanne! the whole bally's thing is going to make that area look completely different! sometimes when i record i'm at 15-16mph, other times (like this one) 18mph. when there is traffic like we saw here, the speed and quicker acceleration makes it safer for me. cars get less angry if i'm not slow. 😉 have a great day! 🛴❤️

A bit of a murky day but kind of brightened up with the blue sky the further it went. Could see your silhouette at the end. One or two dodgy spots to scoot along the way, especially thro those cones. I don't care how fancy the shopping is I still hate shopping 😂
