    If you just maintain the chlorine level so it stays above 7.5% of CYA, all the UV/Ozone/Enzyme stuff wouldn’t be needed and be way easier to maintain.

      It could be, though it’s difficult to maintain FC levels above the 7.5%. And even if you do, sunscreen and other organics are hard for chlorine to manage.

    Hello Harold this year was big for me because this was the year I was gonna learn how to balance the levels in my pool first off needed to learn all about water chemistry and I've been doing this watching all these vids, on UA-cam which is great so just wanta let you know thanks I'm using ORENDA products now & I will continue watching 👍

    Calcium hardness doesn’t need to be check daily. I check pH and chlorine 1-2 times daily. At least 5 times a week, that is why the calcium hardness reagents don’t sell as much.

      You are correct -- and we took that into account. Our observation is that if pool companies tested calcium once a month, they would be buying far more reagents than are actually sold. So this statement was based on a once-a-month testing schedule.
