The Hunter 350 has a huge advantage over its 350 companions in that its rims can take tyres like the Bridgestone S22 and Michelin Road 6. With such premium rubber and such low power you can have a little workhorse that's essentially glued to the road surface. The Meteor and Classic unfortunately get stuck with "classic" style tyres and some weird dual sport options.
I would definetly pick a Hunter, maybe do an Air filter and mapping upgrade and put better Rubber when The time comes. However i would be hard pressed not to get a used INT 650 instead for similar price

There are so many tempting 200-300cc bikes out there, but we are limited to 125cc bikes and thus forced to upgrade to a bigger bike as fast as possible simply to get the ability to keep up with the traffic. I loooooooooathe the Duke 200 from a performance and real world reliability standpoint but I will admit that they are marginally acceptable. I rode one in for service with a Yoshi slip on and it sounded much better, which obviously means it was faster, but still nowhere close to the 390 which is only barely more expensive. Best under 5k gets the Duke 200 as long as you are omitting the fact that the TW will outlive it by decades and is maybe one of the best weird little tractor bikes to ever exist.
Splendid video mostly because I can relate to some of the bikes on the list for example the Duke 200 costs $5000 in Kampala and instead of the 150 cC Honda dual sport we get the 125 and it's one of the best bikes in my country so yeah fun👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
The only problem with the honda xr150l, is that it can't legally be ridden on USA highways/freeways. I know, what lunatic would WANT to ride that thing over 45mph? But it does make it harder to get around some places.
the royal enfield line of bikes is the most forgiving and are good beginner bikes but you all are getting ripped off if you ever buy one for over $4k cuz the original price for a blacked out meteor 350 is $3.09k and the hunter 350 with its blue and white tank colour comes at a low price of just $1.9K
The only bike there worth 5 grand is that Royal Enfield Classic. It looks like it's worth WAY more. If I want more performance, I'd spend that $5K on a used ZX10/6r. But for something new? Out the box? For 5000? That RE Classics ticks all the boxes. Everything else looks overpriced, but the Royal Enfield looks like it's worth twice as much.

@@michaelmurdock4607 That's encouraging feedback. Thank you. I live in small town Oklahoma where the maximum speed limit in the city is 50MPH. There are smaller state and county roads I could use to access a larger nearby city if need be. It sounds like the 350 Enfield powerplant could work.
i thought about getting the hunter but went for the scram 411 ...What u guys think about upcoming royal Enfields ?? I am waiting for the shotgun 650 or classic 650 ... 450s will not purchase .. a very much new engine will b there
@@bonjovi1354 I have also looked at the Scram 411 since it has 4-5 more HP and torque. How is the Scram holding up? What year model? Not sure how long it has been out.
@@posterlion 2 b fair better bike than hunter .. hunter might have only advantage is 17 inch front
As a commuter on 50/50 back roads and city, the Hunter is my bike. I take the car if I need to go anywhere else..
I really wanna get into riding as soon as I’m old enough to get my license in my county
Actually for a dual sport the KLX 230 comes in at the 4999 mark
That orange classic 350 actually looks pretty cool, too bad the power and torque are barely there lol
I want something over the 5.000 mark, something like a Duke 390.
Not that the content isn’t good but the outro is always the best part of the vids😂
Yammie you are an educator thank you for your education.
TDub with ATV tire in the rear freakin' rox!
My baby the mt03. Ahh so good. Shut up!😂 I love it.
Have you done a triumph 400 vs Royal Enfield meteor 350?
im finding new KLR 650s and cfmoto adventuras for under 5k! really tempting!!
That outro gets me every time
great video dude!
Nice cold war fact at the end there
Yes, on the XR150L .
As someone who is going to start his A1 courses (yes euro squid here) I found some insanely cheap factory bikes from the brits over at Lexmoto, with bikes around £2,5K fresh, and for a daily rider it’s all I need
From the pics it looks like their Indian Bajaj bikes rebadged, who cares though if you just want to go from A to B and it does the job.
I love the list videos
That gas tank on the rebel is so ugly.
As a dual dork I'm disappointed yammie. Your favorite bike is a dual sport. Remember "Field of Dreams"? If you make it we will subscribe.
How about the place beyond the pines?
Guess it's time to revisit the list, there's a new Harley in town
that tw200 needs 2 wheel drive, jus sayin.
Hey noooob!
The Honda XR150, as far as I can see, is the same bike that have been solded here in Brazil by the name of Honda BROS 150 for years. And is the same bike, because we have the same drum brakes here as well, and, the cherry of the cake, an kickstart engine.. yeap, thats right, here you can find "modern" bikes with that kicking lever...
anyway, greetings from Brazil o/
I loooooooooathe the Duke 200 from a performance and real world reliability standpoint but I will admit that they are marginally acceptable. I rode one in for service with a Yoshi slip on and it sounded much better, which obviously means it was faster, but still nowhere close to the 390 which is only barely more expensive. Best under 5k gets the Duke 200 as long as you are omitting the fact that the TW will outlive it by decades and is maybe one of the best weird little tractor bikes to ever exist.
why did you keep showing pics of the rebel 500 when talking about the 300 XD
Why the hate on the TW200? They're a lot of fun.
I couldn't afford a bullet 500 at dealer cost when my buddy was a dealer, and I wish that was different.
And you rickrolled us.
The only problem with the honda xr150l, is that it can't legally be ridden on USA highways/freeways.
I know, what lunatic would WANT to ride that thing over 45mph? But it does make it harder to get around some places.
CAN YOU PLEASEEEEEE REVIEW 2022/2023 CB1000r And how it compares to 22/23 yamaha xsr900
the royal enfield line of bikes is the most forgiving and are good beginner bikes but you all are getting ripped off if you ever buy one for over $4k
cuz the original price for a blacked out meteor 350 is $3.09k and the hunter 350 with its blue and white tank colour comes at a low price of just $1.9K
Kinda wanting a Honda XR 150l.
there is also a re bullet 350(a more simpler and affordable classic)
Ns200 N250 Dominar 250 will smoke duke and RE's whole line up
In India we have duke 125, 200, 250, 390. Don’t you have duke 250 in US?
Great video, but why haven't you talked about the update to the ZX-6R yet? Squid life forever man!!!
They look stunning in person, like a million bucks, I couldn't believe it when I actually saw them.
@@kell7195 Reminds me of my 70's Honda 360T. Just a simple bike for riding. No pretense, no specs to care about, etc...
If they're reliable, it's kind of hard to not consider one at that price point.
@@YankeeWoodcraft The classics really look good though, in addition to great value, reliable etc, it was amazing seeing them in person.
Bang for the buck is outta space!
You forgot the Busa. Ya its way over 5K, but whatever.
My uncle got the royal enfield. Funny seeing a man that big on such a small bike. 😂 i imagine thats probably how i look on my r1 tho😭
Royal enfield diesel bullet would be cool...
I'm still waiting for yammie noob to review the Niken GT
2 dozen pony’s I chucked there
The BLUE CF MOTO , is a NK400 dual-cylinder,not a 300. We own one
I went to see of I qualified to finance the hunter and the end price came out with 7850 something. Lets just say I can buy a 600 on second hand market for those prices or even a really good sv650. I like royal enfield ive ridden the gt650, but after all of the dealership services is just too much money for what you get. I went to another dealership to check the end price for the gt650 and it ended being 8100, with the cheapest color in mind
Yeah thats why you pay cash $$
Just so you know anything you finance house, car, business, anything will end up costing you a lot more over the time of the finance sometimes many times the initial price, thats why Banks etc have the biggest buildings in town, welcome to the world.
The crf150l looks alot like the hawk 250
You had to put re in thumbnail that says it all
This kid's thesaurus must be completely worn out.
You forgot to mention the Boom! 😂
If the 150L got the race bike liquid cooled 150 swapped in it then be cooler
and so which of these is the best for reliability and savings? i was considering the honda 300 since i got a 20 minute ride to work and backroads
I believe Honda xr150 is the same bike as the Hero Impulse 150cc which was sold in India years ago by Hero which used to be Honda's partner. Hero now sells the Xpulse 200 which is a 200cc dual sport and an upgrade to the impulse. Believe it or not, the Xpulse 200 is the only dual sport bike sold by any motorcycle company in India at the moment. I wish we had more dual sports here.
