This thing would be a monster on the street be serious with that supercharger is such a good set up. I had a DA with a semi built GSR with the same supercharger kit making 330 and that was fun.

MY FIRST CAR WAS A 90 AWD TALON 5SOD TURBO RAN 22PSI ON STOCK FUEL.MY NUMBER 4 CYL WENT.
Heat shield for the exhaust would probably help allot I feel since it's pulling air right of the header. But since it's on e idk 🤷♂️
It have a hood scoop?
Thats what the intercooler is for.

Get the full race rotrex supercharger kit. Look up dmo deejay. He has a k20 rotrex in his ek9 and its nuts
A friend had an EG hatchie with a TSX k24 swap and a rotrex supercharger kit. It made high 400's/low 500's on e85. It was fun but, he ended up selling it. Sold it to fund a new build. Went with a G-body Malibu with a iron 5.3L, th400, and some twins. Makes at least 2x as much as the Honda. Does pretty well at the local cash day events.

Side note, I know Kyle said about finishing up the S2K and racing the MR2, but, do you have any plans for any NSX updates? I know your NSX isn't in the same class as Kyle's, but it would be cool to see you guys hit up a cars and coffee, or even a Taco Bell run once yours finished!

I have been absolutely DYING to build one of these! My buddy had a Kraftwerks supercharged B16B in his EK hatch and it made 401 whp. Ever since then I've been dying to build one. I have a 709 whp turbo EJ8 Civic coupe with a built LSVTEC, but supercharged is all you need in a hatch.

Something iv asked other people and never really got it answered is how much is air intake temperature affected by pulling the air right from around the exhaust manifold surely having it setup this way is hampering making more power!!
The datalog in the video (12:04) is showing IAT's at 68 degrees and dead flat... depending on what the ambient that day was there's nothing to be gained. That intercooler and E85 is more than sufficient. What is impressive is the 24 degrees of timing at 10psi on E85 with crazy high compression! I can only dream here with 91 available...

Billet oil pump gears, and a factory crank dampener above 10k. Solid aluminum crank pulley and factory powdered metal oil pump gears is a bad combination, will shatter powdered metal oil pump gears.

10k rpm is fukin nuts from a 1990’s Honda 4 cylinder. I have a b20vtec turbo myself that I take to 8k rpm. Stock everything on 8psi and holds up fine

I remember back in the battle of the import days there used to be a Mexican guy who had a black honda civic coup don't remeber what year ,but yeah I remember it gad a jackson racing super charger and it screamed and was fast and I think had nos as well lol and he was pretty fast for back then

Did you see Kyles MR2 get 1426.7 HP on the hub dyno at fuel tech & they said it was configured to HP at the wheels on the road, now that's insane compared to this little car with 440 HP lol.

Man it would be super cool if you could make a centrifugal supercharger gear set that put it out in front like that one and not have to worry about the belt slipping plus you can get a bigger one on it

So what size unit is that? I have same rotrex kit and my boost falls off at 7800. With ati crank pulley and 95mm blower pulley. So I'm really confused now. I'm at 84mm bore 10.5 c/r oem type r cams. I'm at 362whp on pump 93. Dammm

@@sideshow45 no. Blower max rpm is 100,000 rpms and im at 116,000 at 7900 that's why I dont understand how they still building boost at 10k.

@@sideshow45 must be a bigger blower. I have the 30-84 b series racekit blower. With the other pulley setup with was b20 crank with 110mm blower boost was same but maxed out at 8600. So with the ati crank and 95mm blower pulley boost level is the same around 10lbs. But fell off sooner just moved my graph lower I like the more mid range just wish i had more up top and blower didnt run out of efficiency. Was talking to kraftwerks about the bigger blower but they told me it would pick up 2 more lbs of boost but fall off even sooner

12:1 compression + rotrex is a wild setup.
I was seriously planning to put a rotrex on my d-series but it seems like the thin input shafts break a lot, and warranty claims are a bitch. A lot of people thrown under the bus it seems like. Can't rebuild them, can't get parts for them. Decided for my build a T25 would be better

@@2quickk Most Hondas are T3/T4 flanged and spool above 4k. Not interested in that, not building a drag or highway car. I really should have just gone like bolt on K24 if I was smart, but I've already done all this shit to the D already. maintenance, tuning, rebuilt head, rebuilt trans, fastline linkage shifter. It's too late for me bro.
@@yokai8896 You can mate any of those turbos to basically any exhaust manifold and you can also change it from internal to external wastegate. But then there is a Super T3 turbo also...

Is the super charger pulling air in right there at the headers? Would a pipe turned to the front of car help any?
Probably, my pipe that goes down to the back is hanging like not even 1/4" from the ehader and is not even hot too tuch...

I thought you had learned to start by checking the plugs & gap.
Its obvious this coustomer knew his stuff and had been there before. It would be an insult to him to check the plugs he just put in before he got there. Notice how they didnt have to fix a bunch of problems just to make a pull.
@@JaredHIll13 We all forget things. Better to double check, especially when reputations are on the line. I would worry more as a shop owner about getting things right than hurting feelings. And what kind of car dude is that sensitive? It was made clear in an old episode that from then on plugs would be checked and I think that such is a wise policy.
