Welcome to our personal review & install video of the Tegiwa BGW rear, fixed mount wing/Spoiler that was purchased from Exo Racing.
These style spoilers have become very popular on the car scene recently, so we decided to go for one of the best.
As you'll see from the video, we had some major issues with the fitment of the spoiler blade to the mounts. This doesn't appear to be a one off, as we have had similar feedback from other EP3 Civic Type R owners, so it is definitely worth considering before making a purchase.
The end result is fantastic as you will witness, and the fact that they are used on Civic Time Attack cars proves the functionality of the downforce they provide!

Literally bought this type of wing for my ek and having the same issues, having to grind out the brackets so I feel your pain and it doesnt help either that there are no instructions

Mad how Much work you guys had to fit that I’ve fitted the tegiwa one and also the byc one to a clio track car and both skid straight through the slots I’m betting your plates were not cut out correctly
Yes mate that's exactly what was the problem. Everyone else said they were quite sloppy. But getting the grinder out was the only option at the time 🤣
Yeh, we have heard from a few people that they had the opposite problem! Lol
Obviously just bad luck I guess, but rather frustrating.
At the least the final result looks spot on!

Unfortunately I think you're right dude, just bad luck I guess as most people seem to have the opposite problem: the holes being too big!
Any response from Tegiwa? I'd love one of these on my civic but not so sure after seeing the trouble it caused you.
Hi. Once it was fitted I spoke to a few people and they had the opposite problem. I bonded mine after fitting which hid most of the damage. Maybe worth speaking to tegiwa first and asking them to double check the mount before you purchase it. There's always a way and I love it, so please don't let my issue put you off, hopefully it was just a one off.

How does the wing actually stay in place? It slides through but it doesn't seem to be secured. Surely it would move side to side?

We understand it isn't to everyone's taste, and it does look odd against a stock body Civic.
Once the final reveal is complete, it will all make sense!
