I have received many NFT offers on Instagram. And I have blocked all of them. Immediately I thought it was a scam. This people profile were all the same, they show people with fancy cars, beautiful houses, and a lot of paintings in museums. Can you just upload them yourself and tell those people where to find em on the site to buy them? You CAN make them yourself, but it costs money to make (or "mint") and it's very difficult to sell them because so few people are buying... So yes it's safer and this way you wouldn't be scammed, but you'll still probably lose your initial investment.

I don’t understand something. When you have physical art like a painting or a statue, it can have some use during the time you own it. I mean, you can display it. You can hang it in your house your office wherever. But what about NFT? I’m hobby photographer. If I turned one of my photos into an NFT, what good does it have for the person who owns it? I mean, if I sold it as print, it can obviously be displayed.
You're hitting the nail on the head about the core problem with NFTs: they have no use. I suppose you can print your NFT to display it, but you can just buy an actual print from the artist for cheaper than that. The only value of NFTs is in reselling. People don't buy a NFT because they like the art or artist and want to display it, they buy it because they think they can resell it and make a profit. It's an investment, not an art purchase. And since everyone wants to sell, no one wants to buy... it's a very bad investment, very risky, and after the first couple years when everyone who bought them couldn't sell them and incurred massive losses, people lost interest and the whole market just collapsed.
There are but it depends on where the scam is taking place. If the scammer if in another country, that country would have jurisdiction. It’s easier to take down local scams for that reason. With online international ones, it’s hard to even figure out where they are, let alone who to report it too.

Thank you so much for this video!! but I'm new artist and many people say I should put my art on a website like ETSY and other, why? scammers don't buy art from famous website? any help would be appreciated
Very good info but I have to leave informational videos that add background noises that really harm those of us disabled with a tbi or neurology. It’s also extraneous noise that we know cuts absorption and retention bigly..
$20,000 is possible - but usually later in career and after a long negotiation ;) To just reach out online and put a cool 20k on the table without preamble is... yeah.

someone just messaged me saying: Hello mate👋, Please pardon my sudden approach, i am interested in your art and must admit that you've got some exceptional artworks. I would love to purchase some of your artworks as digital NFT's Would you mind I make a proposal? so should I continue the conversation or say no?
Hun, no! As explained in the video, those offers are SCAMS. The vague wording when describing your art is a dead giveaway. There is almost no one buying NFTs now, and even when they do, they go directly to a NFT marketplace. They don’t reach out to artists who aren’t already making NFTs. This is complete bull!
It depends on what type of scam it was, so it’s impossible for me to know for sure. Always safer to change your password if you think it’s been compromised. Your Google account can unlock access to lots of other websites these days.
I have prints of my photos for sale on Fine Art America. If I sell one of my photos as an NFT, can I still sell prints of that photo through that website? Or does the one that own the NFT essentially owns the rights to the photo. Because that’s one thing I do not want to do is ever give up right to my art.
Selling a NFT does not assign any rights. They only own their copy, not any reproduction rights. This is like if someone buys a print for you, it doesn't give them any right. However, it seems like a misplaced concern since the likelihood of artists actually managing to sell NFTs is very low. No one is buying that stuff or is interested in it. It's a dead market.
@@ArtBusinesswithNess I ask because someone messaged me. I understand that it most likely a scam. I would go along only if I can do it safely, if that’s even possible.
@@quietcorner293 Just be very careful! We don't always see their angle. They won't necessarily ask you for money, they could steal your personal information during the conversation. Personally if I played along with all the NFT offers I received, I wouldn't even have time to do anything else...
Maybe so, but when someone says NFT at all I just don't listen to the rest lol. If I wanted to sell NFTs I'd mint them myself, I wouldn't need anyone else. But why would I want to get into this dead market? There are much, MUCH easier and more fun ways to sell art...
I just had someone offer me $25,000 for my art on tik tok, but I had no idea what an NFT was, so I ended up here, but it did sound dodgy, so I'll give it a miss 😂🌈 shame though, I could have done with $25,000 lol.
@ArtBusinesswithNess I reported their account and they got banned from sending private messages, no doubt they'll just set up another fake account, but I did what I could. Horrible, vile people. Thank you to people like you giving us this information 🙏
No, if you want to transform your art into NFTs you have to pay to "mint" them. After you do so, it will be very difficult to sell the NFTs (much more difficult than selling regular art). The customers wanting to buy your painting as an NFT is almost certainly a scammer. NFTs are costly and dangerous. You'd be better off selling your art the regular way!
I had two accounts ask to promote my art on their accounts they guaranteed I make money and get followers but I have pay $99 for a package they share it on their story and put me star of the week.. they have 150k followers but feels like a scam like if I pay them they do nothing or I pay $99 they get views and followers I don't and I'm lucky make $20 off my art
Many of these "promotion" accounts look like they have a lot of followers, but they're mostly bots and and when we look at the actual engagement on their posts it's almost inexistent... It is risky to buy these promos because mostly it's a waste of money, but even worse, some of these accounts will buy followers for you to make it seem like their service works. You'll wake up one morning with exactly 200 new followers for example. This can flag your account for shadow ban, so it's incredibly dangerous!
@ArtBusinesswithNess I had the same person on Twitter contacted me saying they like my artwork. Are u interested in selling them? Where can I look at them. I mostly sell my work on crypto com nft site, and Dud said I don't do services on that site it has to be opensea.. then he like BRB I got a client then when he messaged me he like let's do deal I want buy your art I told him my links i said that's amazing my link is my bio then he stop messaging me.. I look thru his page one person comment on a post. Be careful he's a scammer she shared a screenshot of him pretending to be from Japan and that he's an art dealer and collects art she called him out, and then he blocked her.. but now his profile says he's from uk..
NFTs themselves aren't necessarily scams, but they are often used by scammers. It's like check scams - checks themselves aren't always a scams, but there are lots of bad people sending fake checks to scam people, so we have to be careful when dealing with checks. When it comes to NFTs, scams are so common that I think it's not worth the risk.
Sure! Lots of ways: freelancing, art licensing, selling original art, selling digital downloads… Best thing you can do is learn marketing, then you have the tools to sell anything you create.
From what I understand, mostly fake phishing websites. They could say it's OpenSea but it's not. In general, just stay away from NFTs. There's no money to be made there, just scammers and art thieves... So many better ways to sell your art!
It is! And there are pretty low chances of being able to make that money back considering no one is buying NFTs anymore. It's really not a great money-making opportunity. There are much easier ways to sell our art!
I also get offer in Facebook one lady asking my physical artworks as nft in nftminecorps for 20,000 dollars i.e., in 12.2ETH then i think is it scam? ,why they this much of money 💰 then i searched in UA-cam and you saved me from being scammed from her

Run! NFT scams are so common that it's really not worth the risk...
I received such offer some months back. Totally ghosted them 😅
Good for you!!
@@ArtBusinesswithNess I know better
Thank you so much for this, I received and offer on some of my paintings as NFTs and thought it was too good to be true!!! definitely a SCAM From:
I'm so glad it was helpful!
I've a question what if the person asking me to sell my artwork for 1 eth is it still scam? Because as she mentioned scamers usually start offering from 7 eth which is obviously too much. Kindly clear my concern
It doesn't matter how much they are offering you - if it has anything to do with NFTs or payments in cryptocurrencies, I would be very careful and stay far, far away if I was in your place.
Your wallet doesn't run without some balance, even 0.12 can be huge for poor ppl? Imagine, why would somebody sell art and invest so much money?
I got an offer for 3 of my works yesterday for 8 ETH each
Stay far far away from it!
Thank you so much for this video!! but I'm new artist and many people say I should put my art on a website like ETSY and other, why?
scammers don't buy art from famous website?
any help would be appreciated
Opening a shop on Etsy is not to avoid scammers, it's to sell your art!
Very good info but I have to leave informational videos that add background noises that really harm those of us disabled with a tbi or neurology. It’s also extraneous noise that we know cuts absorption and retention bigly..
Sorry about that! I don't have the best quality sound equipment but I do my best
Thank You!m
No problem!
Very helpful thank you! I had one try to offer me 20,000 for each of my paintings. I normally sell for around $500.😂
$20,000 is possible - but usually later in career and after a long negotiation ;) To just reach out online and put a cool 20k on the table without preamble is... yeah.
It happened to me today ,
I almost got scammed.
I'm so glad you didn't get scammed!
Thank you so much for this amazing video! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
I really don't know anything about SafePal so I would be the wrong person to help you with that, unfortunately!
thank you for this video, i could've lost all my money if i hadn't watched this😂
Glad I could help! Stay safe out there!
The Nigerian prince is upping his game
Indeed!
Thanks for the info. Are you French Canadian?
You can tell LOLL... Yep.
@@ArtBusinesswithNess LOL Yes, I could be wrong but I am also guessing New Brunswick.
@@Pascalism Born and raised on the North shore of Montreal :) You?
I had one today 🙃
Stay safe out there!
I have recieved 10 at one time in last month, got rid of 9 of them amd there's one trying hid luck, claiming he works from Opensea itself, one even offer to pay half my gas fees to get my Art and made me crazy offers of 50 ETh for One and im like yo,please stop,i work hard and not be scammed or exploited, and he used the emo tactic and i told him to stop playing im not interested,i can do it by myself,he backed off for a week and resurfaced thinking he a great white😂🤣🤣i told him im a killer whale gona hunt you in the vast ocean and he is laying low for now.😅😅😅
If you get really tired of getting these scam messages, you can go in your Instagram settings and ban some keywords, like "NFT". It's a relief!
someone just messaged me saying:
Hello mate👋, Please pardon my sudden approach, i am interested in your art and must admit that you've got some exceptional artworks.
Thank you so much i almost believed one. Btw I just logined the same gmail account and password would they be able to know it? 😊
It depends on what type of scam it was, so it’s impossible for me to know for sure. Always safer to change your password if you think it’s been compromised. Your Google account can unlock access to lots of other websites these days.
i think i have had about a 1000 requests by now , so sick of it
You can block the words NFT in you settings to prevent further spam!
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
I always say no to nft buyers/collectors
Atta girl!
NFTs do not need to be beautiful but unique. So when someone wants to buy my art by NFT cause it is beautiful, I just don't listen the rest...
Can’t we all? 😂
@ArtBusinesswithNess I reported their account and they got banned from sending private messages, no doubt they'll just set up another fake account, but I did what I could.
Horrible, vile people.
Thank you to people like you giving us this information 🙏
My whole country does these selling drawings with a lot money, they do this a lot💀
NFT scams are so common that it's honestly not worth the risk... There are better ways to sell art!
what about BID NFTS MARKET?
I personally think NFTs are just the shittiest possible way to make money, but that's just me... There are so many easier, more fun ways.
A bona-fide NFT Broker will _NOT_ talk price first... He will first speak of art/crypto process and legal proceedures!
The term “bona-fide NFT broker” makes me giggle, not gonna lie!
Can i convert my painting in NFTs for free. I don't know anything about it. Some customer want to buy my paining in NFTs
@ArtBusinesswithNess thank u for uploading this video. I also do my research if it's too good to be true
So do u think it's a scam
NFTs themselves aren't necessarily scams, but they are often used by scammers. It's like check scams - checks themselves aren't always a scams, but there are lots of bad people sending fake checks to scam people, so we have to be careful when dealing with checks. When it comes to NFTs, scams are so common that I think it's not worth the risk.
How to get an online painting art job??
I have some videos that explain this, like this one called "all the steps to become a freelance illustrator": ua-cam.com/video/DfrKYXvSGwU/v-deo.html
@@ArtBusinesswithNess I will definitely check it out
@@ArtBusinesswithNess can you please alongate all those videos in a Playlist??
isn't there any way to sell my art for thousand of money?
Sure! Lots of ways: freelancing, art licensing, selling original art, selling digital downloads… Best thing you can do is learn marketing, then you have the tools to sell anything you create.
They are willing to pay a high price. I’m not sure about this.
NFTs offers are not a safe business for artists. Be careful!
@ I told them “NO!” “Thank you” I put No NFTS on my posts.
every week i received this kind of offer . now today its funny someone offer me 75000 Doller 🤣
It gets old pretty quickly, but you can put words like "NFT" on a black list in your settings so that messages like that are blocked.
are the scammer using opensea too ?
From what I understand, mostly fake phishing websites. They could say it's OpenSea but it's not. In general, just stay away from NFTs. There's no money to be made there, just scammers and art thieves... So many better ways to sell your art!
Thanks. Someone just offered me $4500 for each of 5-10 artworks of mine.
That's a reasonable price, but if it's NFTs it's undoubtedly a scam...
I got 15 scammers 😢
I'm sorry to hear that! Stay safe!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I get message like these all the time
They’re very annoying!
100% of the time it's a scam
Amen!
thank you 💕
You're welcome 😊
I want to sell my nfts I'm New in nft marketplace 😢😅
This is not the video for you then - I'm discouraging people to get into the NFT market.
Most of them use fake accounts, and most of them are from India
I could never verify that
Minting NFT is really expensive hahaha
It is! And there are pretty low chances of being able to make that money back considering no one is buying NFTs anymore. It's really not a great money-making opportunity. There are much easier ways to sell our art!
Part about scam starts from 7:30.
tldr; Yes, it is a scam
Yes and we should all stay away from NFTs
I also get offer in Facebook one lady asking my physical artworks as nft in nftminecorps for 20,000 dollars i.e., in 12.2ETH then i think is it scam? ,why they this much of money 💰 then i searched in UA-cam and you saved me from being scammed from her
I'm glad the video helped! Stay safe out there!
Ohh thank you too much sweetie 🤍
No problem 😊
Thank u for saving me 🥲
