Some schools have education on it. In my school, we learn about it in middle school (during a "health" unit). Even so, our school is full of diversity, but I'm not sure if anyone is actually LGBT in our school. There was someone bi in my old school, and he hung out with basically only girls. In my...uh...CITY (it's Hong Kong, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to call it a country), bullying is a rare thing, especially in International schools. He basically became popular overnight, which I'm kinda glad. My old school was also always holding events, standing by LGBT people. But I do know in my current country and home country (China, to be exact) isn't the most supportive, but there are these famous males on the Chinese version of TikTok who wear make-up and test make-up and stuff as their content. I'm learning Korean and these guys speak so clearly that even without looking at the subtitles I can understand a lot. They're really welspoken. I'm happy for them and I hope that society becomes more and more accepting
Um. AIDS can also happen in a heterosexual relationship... Like, of all reason to deny them, I detest this kind of reason the most. Anyone, whatever couple they are, if they're not careful/loyal/well-informed, can still get AIDS/HIV.
It's true. But it has bigger risk for gay couple especially how they're having sex. But, it's not always like that, right? People keep looking gay couple as a bad thing even we can't choose what do person want to be. Like, they're human too. Theres nothing to be argued. Just stop hate and spread love.
The biggest misconception here is that people sometimes assume that if a person had sex with the same gender, you automatically get infected, which is very untrue. Yes, There are some truths that gay people are more at risk of infection BUT let's be clear that if two gay people are negative in HIV, there won't be any transmission. Nonetheless, always use protection when having sex either you're straight gay etc.
I think the reason why gay people were/are more affected by aids than straight people is that the use protection (read: condoms) is more common among straight people. Straight couples use condoms not only for STDs but also to protect against unwanted pregnancies (I'd even say that pregnancy is what most are worried about, they don't think much about STDs, especially in monogamous relationships). Gay couples can't get each other pregnant (assuming they're cisgender and have the same genitals), so they use condoms less often. I think this would have been even more prevalent back in the 80s, because it was probably the aids pandemic that caused both straight and gay people to realize that STDs are a serious issue. (the 'edited' is because I didn't phrase things correctly the first time)

YES totally agree. the LGBT community has grown in an amazing way in America, but one thing that I wish would change among many other things is LGBT history being taught in school or at least being talked about more openly. It deserves the importance that so many other parts of history are given as well
@@pitbulls4life141 yeah me too absolutely no one talked about the community in my high school only touched on the differences of sexuality/sex/gender/sexual orientation so basically just defining vocabulary..but local youth leaders are trying to change it in my town right now. I hope in the next few years it's integrated in more schools
4booky I remember in my health class last year they wrote LGBTQ on the board and named the words. That was it. Fast forward to this year and now we have a “gay straight alliance.” Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the idea of that and two of my friends were running it so I was going to join. However, after all of the negative talk and bullying in the school about it I decided against it.
one of my teacher actually talked about this bc Genders became one of our topics, and she doesn't support the LGBT community mainly because its against the bible and that's a complete bullshit.
Why would you stereotyping fujoshi/fudanshi? You're like the people who think aids = homosexual. Actually most people who rudely ask who is top and bottom is people who curious because they don't support lgbt or in neutral position or don't have a deep knowledge about it. Other is like "idol" who has fanatic fans (sasaeng? Sorry, I don't know the term very well). So it's not ALL. Oh, yeah. Reading it and see disgusting word is trigerring me.
this was very educating. thank you for this video! this whole discussion felt so...I don't know how to describe it. open minded. they didn't lash out at the questions they probably get often, but answered them (especially the topic about "top and bottom"). I hope that we can become a more open minded as a whole and that we educate ourselves more on what we don't know :)
And then Mother monster's song suddenly pop into my head: "No matter gay, straight,or bi Lesbian, transgendered life I'm on the right track baby I was born to survive."
So nice and normal and sweet. It makes me so happy. In the future I pray that there will be no need for videos like this and everyone will live as who they are in harmony with everyone else.
It's very good, that you're encouraging other people to come out and not to be afraid. I'm not gay, but I have some friends who are. And they hadn't a problem with saying that to me and they have good friends who are not gay. But in Germany the situation might be a little bit different. From about the 3rd grade we're learning that being gay is normal. That's how my generation grew up and as I know we are the first one with that kind of lessons. Sadly there are still too many against it so some people are afraid of coming out and also families are not reacting kindly to them. So, even if my generation is more open (because not all of us are) there are still a lot of problems. But gay marriage is allowed and they fight for their rights. I really hope, that Korea will change its mind soon!
Same case here in PH i have very discreet group of friends a Korean, a Chinese and a Japanese and me a half Filipino, we met as classmates and we became friends because we're all introverts and we're all guys who is very quiet and a loner in person but very noisy when we're online talking about anime and games, We communicate using English mostly but sometimes uses other's language that we all understand like the common words of Japanese "Nani", "Ohayo", etc. Then later i got a PM from my Korean friend "Jun" where we just talked to each other at night because I'm the only one online and i asked where he's going during summer vacation he just said "nowhere" i thought he'll come to his hometown to his parents since he just lives alone in an apartment, which is why i asked "you're not gonna visit your parents?!" Then he just suddenly said to me "I like you" and i just replied "???" then "u trolling?" then he just sent a very very long message then went offline before i started reading it. Basically he said the reason he's living and studying in PH is because his parents sent him here when he "came out" to them. So they just sent him here and give him allowance till he graduates. Seriously what's wrong with his parents. And the rest is about him being serious about me and asking for my answer.
@@kazeace853 Sorry, what's PH? 🙈 I feel so sorry about Jun. And it's good, that he had some friends to count on. (As I understood you have no problem with him) And yes you're right, what the hell is wrong with them? Everytime I hear such things as: My best friend and my own family are not accepting me... It's not right, it hurts, even if I'm not that person with the problem. It's really not fair. 😔
@@zeroo8124 PH means Philippines and well this incident just happened last year May 2018 and even now I still haven't answered his question and of course because of it the atmosphere between the two of us is more awkward but we're still friends (i think). To be honest I'm just waiting for his feelings to me die out. I swear I'm not homophobic or have anything against gays and I'm not saying I'm not gay or I am (because i never fell in love with anyone before since i lived my life almost not having social interactions with anyone in person or outside). We only meet a few times since that chat and that was mostly when our other friends hold a meet up and occasionally we ran across each other. But still I'm the only one in our group who knows he's gay and it's been 6 years since the four of us became friends, i want to tell him to tell the others too but it's obviously awkward since it's been a year already that i haven't answered him and i don't know if he's still waiting for it or not. It's just surprising for me to get a confession from someone since I thought nobody in this world would ever romantically like me because I'm an introvert who have major anxiety issues like fear of eye contact, attention, judgements from others, etc. now that I mention this maybe it's one of the reason i can't answer him. Because i wasn't like this until 7 years ago my reason is basically cliche (I became the whole school's bullie's target and i had nobody to rely on or talk to so I looked for people i can talk to online which resulted me being more attached communicating online).
@@kazeace853 I've never had someone who said he/she loves me, but I'm also someone who was bullied. And I can tell you that, if you don't answer him, it'll hurt him more. He told you his feelings and you said nothing (I understand you, that would make me also afraid). I had some kind of a boyfriend. I knew he loved me, because my friend told me, but I had none feelings for him. But I knew it because I gave him a a chance and we met quite a lot times. He's a good person, very carrying and kind and because of it I didn't want a relationship with him. I didn't want to hurt him. I was also very afraid, it's not easy for me to trust anyone and I had a very hard life, so I'm not that easy to handle (I think 😅) and also don't want to hurt someone. So I gave it a try and now I'm smarter about what I want in a relationship and what not. What kind of guy is my type... So I'm begging you: Talk to him, make sure you stay friends or get closer because you want to give him a chance. I don't know how old you're, but you have to make it clear. Trust me, it'll hunt you your whole life, if you're like me and don't want to hurt people. I know it... It must be very hard for him to not have an answer from you since a year. It's a very long time. And he also must felt not be taken seriously, if you didn't answer his question. And trust me, it hurts, if you can't get closer to the person who you love. So, my advice is: Talk to him again and 1. Maybe start a relationship and found out, if you love him or could love him. 2. If you're really, really not gay (you must be like 100% sure) than explain it to him. And please, don't be afraid. As I said, I do not trust people easily and I'm also a bit introverted but I gave some people a try and now I can count on them, whatever happens. They're just a few but they're my close friends. I don't judge you, I completely understand you, but please try also to understand him. And talk to him. 🙏🤗
I love coming back and watching this video every so often!! It's so refreshing to see a happy couple and I love how comfortable they are about their relationship. Most couples in general are afraid of speaking about their relationship and its lovely to see the chemistry that they have. They're so cute and I wish them so much happiness.

"I wish all mankind live their lives for their own good" the world would be a better place if every single one of us respected each other's personal lives (which is none of our business btw)
I just want to add to the topic "who is the girl in the relationship?" and say that this kind of thought comes from a heteronormative and misoginistic point of view Asking that comes from the thought that there is always a partner who is more weak than the other and it's usually believed to be the women Women are not weak and in a gay relationship there is no women because they are both men Also just because someone prefers to be a "bottom" it doesn't mean they are weak/submissive or a women (I'm horrible at expressing my opinion in a coherent way so I hope this comment is not to messy and the point is still clear 😅😅)
An interview which put a smile on my face... I respect these two, separately and as a couple: they are authentic, warm, humorous and compassionate toward others. I wish I knew Korean. I will definitely visit their site.

Always wish them good fortune as they help lower stigma around being LGBT in SK. These are the sort of brave people we need, those unafraid to respond with kindness, but who will also not let themselves be bullied.
I love channel gimcheolsoo! Ever since I found out about them last year, I was able to become more confident in my own sexuality. I’m glad more people are getting to know them. This was such a wholesome interview, thank you for arranging it!
It makes me happy to know that even in conservative places like Korea, there are gay couples who are happily in love and have a supportive community around them. Really gives me hope as a young lesbian ❤️ And Jangho's story of his mom being shocked and upset about him being gay at first but eventually becoming really supportive was so heartwarming and nice to hear, I'm glad that she grew to be more accepting!
The terminology "top" and "bottom" is not something that categorizes the sexual role in a gay relationship but, it is just a sex position, nothing more and sex positions can constantly change. Amazing!
They are the cutest couple that I have ever seen ~~ I can tell by just looking at them that they are reaaally good friends too beside being boyfriends. Which is one of the most important things for me that should be in a relationahip 😍😍
@calo10able can't they wish a better life in all of those places? Because this video is about Korea, it makes sense to comment about Korea, they didn't say it wasn't horrible in other countries. LGBTQ+ should be accepted and respected everywhere, and that's it.
calo10able This is such a dumb argument. You don’t just give up on progress because your neighbors are equally or more fucked up.. Gay marriage is still illegal in Korea, gay people are still looked down upon by the majority of the world. We don’t need idiots like you playing oppression olympics.

YES totally agree. the LGBT community has grown in an amazing way in America, but one thing that I wish would change among many other things is LGBT history being taught in school or at least being talked about more openly. It deserves the importance that so many other parts of history are given as well
4booky unfortunately I am from America and it was never talked about in my school
However, after all of the negative talk and bullying in the school about it I decided against it.
one of my teacher actually talked about this bc Genders became one of our topics, and she doesn't support the LGBT community mainly because its against the bible and that's a complete bullshit.

they're so cute and wellspoken! I hope they can educate many people with their open personalities and wish them the best of luck and happiness.
I really respect this two, thank you for interviewing them jay.

they are just sooo adorable. thank you for this video♡♡♡♡

Keep going guys~ we support your relationship~^^
This popped up in my recommended and I’m not mad about it AT ALL ❤️
They are so LOVELY!! 💕 Jay greetings from Colombia 👋 I love your all videos!! 💛
The first 15 seconds is a message to all fujoshis/BL addicts
makes me wonder what their thoughts on BL are
Ugh the fetishizing 😖
They even talk about the bottom like he were a female, dIsgUSting
Cringy and disgusting
Why would you stereotyping fujoshi/fudanshi? You're like the people who think aids = homosexual. Actually most people who rudely ask who is top and bottom is people who curious because they don't support lgbt or in neutral position or don't have a deep knowledge about it. Other is like "idol" who has fanatic fans (sasaeng? Sorry, I don't know the term very well). So it's not ALL. Oh, yeah. Reading it and see disgusting word is trigerring me.
Thank you Jaykee for this awesome interview ❤️
the right guy is so thoughtful and openminded, it's amazing. i see why jangho would like his way of thinking! best of luck to them
this was very educating. thank you for this video! this whole discussion felt so...I don't know how to describe it. open minded. they didn't lash out at the questions they probably get often, but answered them (especially the topic about "top and bottom"). I hope that we can become a more open minded as a whole and that we educate ourselves more on what we don't know :)
And then Mother monster's song suddenly pop into my head:
"No matter gay, straight,or bi
Lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive."
Yay! 😁👌

Same in Italy
Same case here in PH i have very discreet group of friends a Korean, a Chinese and a Japanese and me a half Filipino, we met as classmates and we became friends because we're all introverts and we're all guys who is very quiet and a loner in person but very noisy when we're online talking about anime and games, We communicate using English mostly but sometimes uses other's language that we all understand like the common words of Japanese "Nani", "Ohayo", etc.
Then later i got a PM from my Korean friend "Jun" where we just talked to each other at night because I'm the only one online and i asked where he's going during summer vacation he just said "nowhere" i thought he'll come to his hometown to his parents since he just lives alone in an apartment, which is why i asked "you're not gonna visit your parents?!"
Then he just suddenly said to me "I like you" and i just replied "???" then "u trolling?" then he just sent a very very long message then went offline before i started reading it.
I feel so sorry about Jun.
And it's good, that he had some friends to count on. (As I understood you have no problem with him)
And yes you're right, what the hell is wrong with them?
So, my advice is: Talk to him again and
Omg they’re so cute!!! I love how intelligent they are as well. Answered everything in a proper and educated manner. I hope they can confidently hold hands in public someday. Love them!!

Applaud them for being so open minded in their answers! This was a great vid, thank u!❤
I just want to add to the topic "who is the girl in the relationship?" and say that this kind of thought comes from a heteronormative and misoginistic point of view
Asking that comes from the thought that there is always a partner who is more weak than the other and it's usually believed to be the women
Women are not weak and in a gay relationship there is no women because they are both men
Also just because someone prefers to be a "bottom" it doesn't mean they are weak/submissive or a women
(I'm horrible at expressing my opinion in a coherent way so I hope this comment is not to messy and the point is still clear 😅😅)
Shout out to the mum that was at first unaccepting but then bought them a soup ladle 😂
An interview which put a smile on my face... I respect these two, separately and as a couple: they are authentic, warm, humorous and compassionate toward others. I wish I knew Korean. I will definitely visit their site.
사람이 사람을 사랑하는 것일 뿐
It takes beautiful and brave people like you to change views, break stereotypes and open minds. Hearts will open in time too, I think you guys are amazing. So great to see two people in love. All my best wishes for you going forward.
I’ve been subscribed to GimCheolSoo for a longtime. He & JangHo are honestly the sweetest truest loving people I’ve ever seen. Always wish them good fortune as they help lower stigma around being LGBT in SK. These are the sort of brave people we need, those unafraid to respond with kindness, but who will also not let themselves be bullied.
두분 아주 보기 좋고 잘 어울립니다♥
솔직하고 당찬 모습에 인터뷰 잘 들었습니다^^!
Amazing!
love is love ❤️thanks for interviewing cheolsoo and jangho 🥰
They are the cutest couple that I have ever seen ~~ I can tell by just looking at them that they are reaaally good friends too beside being boyfriends. Which is one of the most important things for me that should be in a relationahip 😍😍

Im saddened by the news that they broke up. They are the rare gay couple that are more on intimacy than passion
It is so cool to see how is to be gay in others countries. 😍 It makes me realise how much progress we made and what we still need to achieve. 🏳️🌈

@calo10able true I sad.
I hate africa .
Kpop is I shipper jikook!!

That inately gay vs aquired gay question was a good one. I personally believe people are innately bi and that changes most of the time as we develop. That being said, good video. Its good that you showcase all types of people and encourage people to come out and give their perspective
