These would both be great first vehicles! Mine was a 1973 Toyota Celica that my older brother and I restored in the mid ‘80’s. I wish I still had that car! 👍🏼 so many good memories
My parents bought me a 1973 2.6l V6 4 speed in my senior year of highschool. They were highly under rated for their handling and engine power. The2.6l was actually more powerful than the 2.8 due the emissions restrictions of the time. I could slowly leave a stop sign and floor it and it would light up the tires. The top speed was around 114mph. I found that out while racing a Porsche 2.0L 914. I’m 70 now and wish I could find one in restorable condition.
I can’t tell you how many people I talk to with this exact same situation! I have a video coming soon of a gentleman who bought the same 1954 Chevy Bel Air that he had in high school, except in a convertible! Keep looking… your car is out there! 👍🏼
Cool that he kept his first car! I wish I did 😢
We agree! This is very cool!!
That is a long time to own one car! Good on you for keeping it going 👍🏼
It was very surprising to hear this was his original first car!
These were great cars back in the day… apparently they still are! 👍🏻
Yes they are!
These are great cars! Different and unique for sure and they run great.
They are great cars! It was great to see one in this incredible condition 👍🏼
Although my 1st set 'o wheels was a '66 Chevy truck, my 1st car, a '72 Cougar XR7, was the one I wish I kept. 351 Cleveland 4bbl, C6, triple black.

I thought they were mercury's
Hi Craig, the Capri was known both as a Mercury and as a Ford depending on where you are.
This particular car was badged as a Ford.
That’s true, my best friend in high school had a Capri and it also had the ford logos
