- May 28th 1964. Senator Edward Kennedy interviewed by Reginald Bosanquet on the memorial library to President Kennedy, how the President would have liked to be remembered and on his own career and family and how Jacqueline, Caroline and John jr. are getting along.
I can't imagine how painful it must have been for him to see so many of his older siblings die young.
True, So Very True, It must've Taken an Incredible Amount of Strength to Speak About His Older Brother, Our PRESIDENT, President Kennedy
God Bless Their Souls
JFK, RFK, E.M.K.
🙏🌹🌹🌹
He was very well-spoken, I'll give him that.
RIP you will always be remembered as the Lion of the Senate
🤣
Wow, when he was young he was attractive...
My gosh, how young he was! Greatest senator our country ever had.
RIP Teddy. We miss you.
GeorgiaKev he was a total piece of shit who turned us into a 3rd world nation
You must be joking
@@johntexas8417 Not at all. Hate Kennedy all you want, he was an exceptional legislator who was widely-respected on both sides of the aisle in Congress.
@@GeorgiaKev
No...no....I do not "hate" him or anyone else.
I just do not hold him anywhere near the esteem I may have for Joe Jr, President Kennedy or Senator Robert Kennedy.
@@johntexas8417 Well, none of the brothers were perfect, but they did fight hard to help make America a better place to live. Remember, John and Bobby were brutally murdered and never grew old. Teddy, on the other hand, did and was around long after the magic of Camelot faded away.
He was hot.
Kennedy was quite a handsome man too, though I agree he wasn't any competition for Reginald Bosanquet.
His smile was ugly af js
Gorgeous man then..sexy accent!
Edel Quinn Yea it’s lush isn’t it! Im British so i think it Sounds so much more Special because of how different it is ☺️☺️
(2/3) Also, Teddy didn't go "straight from Harvard." He went to the U of VA School of Law, passed the MA Bar, ran his brother’s campaign in the West, and worked as an assistant district attorney for Suffolk Co., MA before being elected US Senator and worked there for 47 years-not 50 +.
(3/3) We do agree on one thing-we can’t compare these two men. Kennedy, for all of his family wealth, worked for the good of common person. Bush, on the other hand, spent half of his life goofing off and the other half rewarded with responsibilities he obviously couldn’t handle; he’s a product of influence and misinformation over competence and empathy.
well put(:
One of Americas greatest public servants, and a very fine and decent human being.
Hardly. Kennedy left Mary Jo Kopechne to drown at Chappaquiddick.
@@kwd3109 other that he was a great guy.
We all make mistakes, and are imperfect.@@kwd3109
Let’s talk accomplishments: fought for quality affordable healthcare, helped support HIV/AIDS funding in the 80s, in the 70s helped with funding for food to elderly women and children, helped strengthen FDA regulations, helped supply legal reps for medical errors/preventable deaths, supported children’s hospitals, increased funding for vaccinations and preventive care, advocate for civil rights, violence against women’s act to help immigrants in abusive situations, reforming federal criminal codes, advocate for gender equality, advocate for religious freedom, advocate for gun control and safer communities, advocate for early education safe after school programs and education for immigrants/their children, fought for raising minimum wage, fought for pension security equal pay and worker safety, wanted to hold oil companies accountable for their waste, fought for energy efficiency research, INTRODUCED THE ANTI APARTHEID ACT with relations to South Africa....that’s just a few. What have you done lately..? Cuz I know I haven’t done all I can, who are we to judge this man?? We’re not even in the same stratosphere as his legacy...
Yes, and let's not forget Chappaquiddick and Mary Jo Kopechne.
He looks close to Robert Redfort.
Glock, I just want to congradulate you for wonderfully executed trolling. You realy got these good people angry, grats :D
oh my gosh. "Boyhood yeeahs" "Novembah" Inimitable.
i wonder how much time this guy spent in the lieberry
As a black man I have to honestly see the Kennedys not only the best white people who have ever been in politics but also I think I like Teddy the best of the three and that's really saying something
This interview was conducted only a few weeks before Ted Kennedy was almost killed in a plane crash.
You're right.
I don't know what you mean, but I am sure it is very important.
He looks younger
Really, his accent seems less strong here.
@dahoss2x Good for you. I hope that made you feel better.
(1/3) @dahoss2x You know I'm talking about Dubya--you just don't want to acknowledge it.
In 1977, he created Arbusto Energy (later Bush Exploration). In 1982, family friend Philip Uzielli invested $1M in exchange for 10% stake, while the company was worth less than $400k. In 1984, Bush Exploration merged with Spectrum 7 Energy Corp. because it couldn't survive; Dubya became Chairman and CEO.
So...what's your answer to chgosatrap 's question? It's been over a week.
(1/2) @dahoss2x I didn't admit to anything and you didn't read what I wrote carefully. The money he made was not “on his own”; he had help from his father's friends after he failed to maintain his business finances several times.
Notably, I see that you couldn't admit that "running booze” wasn't what created the Kennedys’ wealth, but primarily stocks, real estate and investments.
How can we be satisfied with your answer if you haven't given one?
So, what's your answer to chgosatrap's question?
The last 20 seconds of the video.....
"If we could just keep chatting....
What do you... Do you think the civil rights bill is going to go through?"
"Oh yeah, I should think it will... It will probably go.. I imagine they get a cloture petition the end of the second week, or the third week of June."
"Is it going to be badly amended?"
"Oh no. I've seen the suggested..."
Is that a "yes" or a "no" to chgosatrap 's question?
Yeah, much stronger accent here.
Before you go, can you answer a question for us?
Oh my Ted was hot in his young days.
This was few months after JFKs death sad
Senator #TedKennedy talking about the optimism of #JohnFKennedy
@starvetodeath123 , leaving the scene of the auto "accident" and reporting it the next day made Kennedy a coward. There were many missing booze bottles at the party that night.
chgosatrap: I have the feeling glocker8888 may have a learning disorder and is misinterpreting your question because so far he's answered it with everything except a straightforward answer.
I agree w/Kim and Mr101spbz.
No, you ran a stop sign and killed your ex-boyfriend in the other car. And then you called your daddy to bail you out. Nothing LOL about that.
And your answer to chgosatrap's question is...?
@dahoss2x You're nine years off; He ran Jack's Western campaign in 1960; the Chappaquiddick incident occurred in 1969. Kopechne worked on Bobby's campaign the year before. Doesn't anyone research a subject and have the correct facts before making a point anymore?
Again, 47, not 50.
chgosatrap: You're being generous. I just think his answer is "no" and he's using obfuscation to hide his cowardice.
Actually, that is not what I said.
I know asking is either going to be regretful or going to go nowhere, but what are you talking about?
Glock is not able to give me an answer. S/he is perseverating, and giving inappropriate responses, suggesting the need for a referral for special needs services. WIAT! We need health care reform first.
Say the same about Mrs. Bush? What that she was a handsome young man?
What happened to the Kennedy's?!!!
You are perseversating, and giving inappropriate responses to a yes/no question. Your fixation on a dead man suggests you are into necromancy. Well, that is your business, and you are free to do and think as you please.
Thank you for your time.
He would have been president too
Except answer a simple question, of course.
@dahoss2x No, we don't agree. I don't see how you inferred that. Both men were & are loyal Americans, w/ conflicting definitions of what it is to be American--a difference that, once a simple sticking point, has now become a reason to damn one to Hell.
"a drunk scumbag who never worked a day in his life"--to paraphrase you, you must be talking about Bush. :)
What evidence do you have that it was a murder (you previously said "let her drown") & that he had sex with her? Explain the cover up.
Uh...long live the scratch? :D
@dahoss2x It must be a sad, little world that you live in, where you think that ad hominem attacks like this, repeating yourself, falling onto tired cliches and obfuscation will not only mask your immature and fact-less approach to discussing issues, but has you connived that you're acting like a rational person. Come back when you're ready to debate like an adult, much less an intelligent adult.
Oh Teddy, what shall we do if I'm pregnant? Well, Mary Jo, we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
