The interesting fact about this movie is that the main drift scene in the city where people move away from the cars is real, see the Japanese government didn't gave them the authority to do that. So what the franchise did is hire a fake director and put him on the spot and then they carried this out. The fake director stayed 1 day in jail and got out.
