In this scenario, you play as the defending Byzantines against the Ottoman siege of Constantinople in 1453. You have to defend for 2 ingame hours against wave after wave of Ottoman attacks.

Best historical scenario by far imo.
The peak Byzantine scenario! Full on siege defense against an all-out assault from all sides! As tense as this is, this is my kind of scenario. Just give me some proper eco and it'd be perfect more me.

Nice. Fish Traps + Hussar is the way to go! Didnt consider that at all I did it the (uneccesary) hard way by focusing on towers, repairing walls and winning a few seconds on the clock (by kiting away as much as I can with my remaining cavalry from the wonder). Nice Ornlu!
I just finished every scenario and damn, Nobunaga does NOT feel like a one sword campaign, at least on hard and picking Oda (the historical choice), it was probably the third most difficult scenario after Vortigern and Mistislav
I fear the scenario was a bit bugged when I completed it, the ottomans sent just 1 wave of units per attack and after that some stray siege units, I remembered this to be way harder on the mod version. But as it features thr byzantines and a beautiful looking Konstantinopel its definitely one of my favorites from the DLC

Feels like in History Constantinople has been beaten down alot for so many years since the fall of the Roman Empire. After Crusades, and endless attacks from the East until the Ottomans destroyed the last piece of Byzantine Roman Empire into ashes of history.
Nice play ornly 🎉🎉 as a greek i liked the scenario…..they can also make the language greek cause romans and italians speak latin already . In aoe4 they speak greek at least 🎉🎉 hehe
Ornlu making it look easy. Going all in on fish traps is pretty smart, I didn't think of that. You can probably defend simply by spamming hussar. I beat it first try, but it was very close, my Hagia Sophia was completely surrounded 11

I disagree, Druzhina condos and halbs just kill everything the Turks throw at you, especially when you can create them really fast with perfusion and defended by towers
Oh and Stronghold castles heal them up
This is best mission in this DLC by far
I won by fortifying castle locations built numerous towers and filled them up with arbalesters, units were getting shreded while castle sniped siege
Wait, did the info text box say "you cannot train cannon galleons"? Byzantines don't even have CGs anymore?
This scenario was made over 3years ago its small detail, other OG scenarios also have these small details wrong
i didn't even think it was possible to manage to keep the first wall after the second wave
I know it looks weird at a glance but "Palaiologos" is actually quite easy to pronounce if you just break it into the root words, each of which is fairly common in academic English. Compare the word "paleontologist"-- it has the same two roots ("paleo"=old; "logos"=literally "words," but in the academic context meaning "study of"), plus one more ("onto"="existence"). So, paleontology is the study of old existence.

I know you record these well in advance so this will likely do nothing to help you but the reason the ships appeared near your city despite you thinking you had destroyed everything, is that they just spawn new ones in. Similarly, if you were to somehow destroy the entire encampment of the Ottomans on land, units would still keep spawning in.
These days aeo 2 team os not showing affords towards game. These campaigns i have already played long ago created my community as mods. They just simply copy pasted.

I simply cannot beat this one. Map is too big, too much going on. Can't even find the buildings or half the time my army. Not fun at all. I've beat all the rest of hard but I can't do this one even after 12 attempts.
Leave constatinopole alone
