Would you consider using a large circle of track at a constant voltage to eliminate driver variation, timing each lap to see if any alteration resulted in improved time ,this would possibly give insight into making an easier drivable car by experimenting with weight and its distribution and tyre choice.

Does adding shims to the front and rear axles to widen the track of the car help too?
