    1st Mode: Normal
    2nd Mode: DSP off
    3rd Mode: Bassboost at 60-80hz
    4th Mode: Extreme Loudness Mode
    Switch through them with Bluetooth and
    Minus for 10 seconds. You notice the
    change when first the tweeters, then the
    woofers play for 2 seconds

    Beware I blew 2x Tweeters messing with the JBL secret setting modes, not saying the low frequency mode did this, it was probably the spl mode as it gets much louder, but Ive heard conflicting opinions saying its safe, but everytime you switch these modes it briefly plays test sounds through ya tweeter then sub so maybe I had it turned up to loud..
    FYI I found the low frequency mode sounded muddy.

      It does not. JBL has removed that in their last firmware update, so if you update the 300 you lose it there too.

  • @AbsoluteFidelity
    @AbsoluteFidelity 3 роки тому

    'LFM' just turns off all the DSP and makes it sound like a kitchen radio. I dont know who coined that LFM term but its the exact opposite. This button combination is for JBL to check if the DSP works or not, its not meant to 'increase low frequency'.

    • @TheWokeReview1
      @TheWokeReview1  3 роки тому

      But it does a fine job of it. It's the only way the speaker doesn't lose bass at the higher volumes. Doesn't really matter since it's been removed from the firmware.

      You must have the newer firmware. Is your Partybox brand new? Just curious, I just picked up a Partybox 310 and it's really nice, the bass is much better. If you have a chance to get one I recommend it.

    • @TheWokeReview1
      @TheWokeReview1  4 роки тому +1

      Which wire? Power or Auxiliary? The difference between the 200 and 300 is that the 200 doesn't have a battery and must be plugged in. SO if you're talking power cable than you have the 200. Both hook up via bluetooth to your phone, you may need to do a hard reset. Look in your manual for the instructions on how to do it, after resetting try your bluetooth connection again.

      I always did, but JBL removed it from the firmware. I suppose it's possible that it isn't good for the life of the speaker and that's why they removed it.
      That said, get yourself a nice music player app with a good Equalizer and that will help with the bass roll off at the higher volumes.

You think two of these bad boys will be loud enough paired together to entertain about 100 people for the reception? I only need a wireless option for the beach part, but otherwise for the reception I could use an outlet and have it plugged in. I was thinking they could be decent speakers for my tv but that is probably overkill 😂. I saw that the lg ok99 seems incredible and much louder than these; it's just the wireless part I need for the beach.
