Thank you so much for the video I was quite confuse for which test I should go in my dissertation. Your video is far better than what my supervisor told me. I have a question- What will happen if instead of using Two-tailed test, i will use one-tailed because m finding my z-value far on the left tail?
Thank You !! I am glad, you found it helpful Direction of data should not be the deciding factor to choose one tailed test. If researcher does this, then researcher will reject true null hypothesis which is commitment of Type I Error For more details, check out my video ua-cam.com/video/Jh8CKTf13dQ/v-deo.html
Hi Dr , I am currently doing a research on wether or not COVID-19 has had an impact on seafarers desire to stay or to leave the job. My hypothesis is H0: No difference H1: Positive influence H2 : Negative influence Which tail method should I use?
@@dr.sumeetbakshi I see, so would it be better for me to make my hypothesis to this instead? H0: No impact of COVID H1: There is an Impact COVID and then find out where the statistical value lies? because if i have three hypothesis then id have to use one tail and test positive and negative individually.
Madam kindly help me I'm in very difficult situation.... One question came in SET Exam i will write it here What is the nature of F test? A. Essentially a two-tailed test B. Essentially a one-tailed test C. One-tailed or two-tailed test depending on the hypothesis to be tested D. Not a one-tailed test According to me the answer must be C.i.e. depending on the test, But according to answer key it is B. Madam if the answer C then I can challenge this question. Kindly refer me some authentic source to verify this that I can send them as evidence. Ma'am I will be very grateful to u.kindly reply.

Hi Dr , I am currently doing a research on wether or not COVID-19 has had an impact on seafarers desire to stay or to leave the job.
My hypothesis is
H0: No difference
H1: Positive influence
H2 : Negative influence
Which tail method should I use?
If you are considering both sides positive and negative impact of COVID-19, then it should be two-tailed test.
Hope this helped, Stay Connected!!

Yes, alternative hypothesis should be inverse of null hypothesis
Thanks this cleared it up for me.
